After all these years, I still enjoy Bob Evans. I think their biscuits are the best. They are always warm and fluffy and delicious. No butter is needed. My wife loves the French toast and my daughter enjoyed the steak tips omelette. Bacon was good too. I actually didn't love the ham and cheese omelette by itself. I chose to cut pieces off and make ham cheese omelette biscuit sandwich. 4 stars for average service. We were there longer than needed waiting on bill. read more

Home cooked food. Delicious meals. They offer smaller portions and even those plates are hearty. Our server was super friendly and helpful. We came when it was quiet inside, so nice for a dinner with my wife. She has the breaded chicken breast with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. She loved it. I had the smaller portion country fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn. The steak was just right, not too breaded at all. Great flavor! You can a soup or salad and a dessert to any entree for $4.99. It's worth it... if you are not already full. I got the chili and it was not too spicy at all. One of the first things you'll see when entering this restaurant is a wall saying "Welcome to the Farm" and that's exactly what I was looking for - a farm fresh style breakfast. After being seated without a wait Christa our wonderful server greeted us with menus and took our drink order, she provide such exceptional service. There are so many options available it can be difficult to choose. I noticed how clean the restaurant is and how happy and friendly all the staff seemed which means they must be doing things right here so I applaud the management team as well. The coffee here is so delicious and I say this after visiting a number of Bob Evans Restaurants over the years, it's alway been consistently delicious. After leaving early from the east coast of Florida heading to the Tampa area I knew I would stop for breakfast and was happy to find this place. Being a carnivore of sorts I always look for the options with lots of protein and less carbs, well this combination of food definitely provide a great mix - A Slice of Lean Ham, two slices of premium bacon, two sausage links, two sausage patties, two eggs any style, hashbrowns, one pancake and french toast all for $13.59 which is really an unbelievable value. I omitted the French toast it just seemed too overwhelming and although I ate the entire pancake I left most of the hashbrowns and focused on the plate full of meats which were so delicious as well as the perfectly cooked over-medium eggs and bottomless cup of coffee. Today's experience couldn't have been better and definitely puts this restaurant chain back on my radar. When I compare a lot of the nationally known breakfast restaurants I have to admit this location is a different level and a much better value and higher quality than a lot I've visited lately. A few college classmates have kept up a friendship over the years. We recently decided to get tougher and get reacquainted in person. The location that was equidistant from everybody was Davenport, FL., right off I 4 at exit 55. We chose Bob Evans for the lunch meeting. The hosts accommodated us with a table for 6 that was as private as possible. Our waitress was friendly, efficient and offered us all drinks while we decided what we were going to have. Everyone found something that they wanted and we all enjoyed the selections. Among the choices were: the Pick 2 Combo Cheddar Baked Potato Soup, Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad, the Fish Fry Sandwich and some of the salads. Served with the selections we added Onion Rings and Iced Tea. We were very pleased with the Banana Nut Bread that accompanied some of the orders. Food was under and overcooked depending on the item. For a quick bite to eat and good service, I could see it being a place for big families to go. We expected more of a crowd here, but were surprised when we walked in. The prices on the menu are great. They're basically a Denny's, but with a few signature things and great service. We were in and out in about 30 minutes, which is great if you have a destructive toddler who starts going on a rampage. He ran around a bit and everyone there was interacting with him. It was an older crowd earlier in the morning and everyone was friendly. Highly recommended for breakfast, just on the ambience alone. We'd never been to a Bob Evans before and had no idea what to expect! We were both so very pleased with everything about our experience! Christiana was our server and she's one of the best there is! Super friendly, genuinely happy to be there for us, quick and very attentive. Our food came out quickly, was nice and hot, generous portions and most importantly, delicious! Before this last weekend I had never been to a Bob Evans before. I always thought it was just another type of Denny's. I have to admit that our breakfast here was excellent! The place had a country type of decor but was not too kitschy. It was also spotless. The menu had a huge variety of breakfast items. There was nothing outrageous, just regular fresh food. I went with two eggs over easy, whole wheat toast, and oatmeal. The rest of the family ordered various breakfast items. Everything came in a timely manner and was cooked to perfection. About the only decent thing was the biscuits only. Service was meh and lacked the basic discipline. And wasn't even checked on by waitress.(Side note when did ear buds/wireless headphones become standard). Ordered Texas loaded fries they had to be reminded about the food. Soup was poorly plated. Didn't match the photo and wasn't that hot. My better half ordered the cheese potato soup(Needed salt/pepper/garlic). Sandwich was ok. This location seems to have officially hit rock bottom. We placed all our order at the same time but the kid pancakes came out with no butter or syrup and the rest of our order followed 20min later. I used to go to this restaurant weekly but after spending $33, I need to go home and make my fiance something to eat which is ridiculous. Jon needs to find a different job because he found it funny that there wasn't much food in the Rancher BBQ beef dinner. There wasn't bacon and the potatoes were mushy and he didn't offer or bring any bread which was supposed to come with it. Jon had 2 tables yet I had to find him to get refills on drinks after 15 minutes. When we said something about barely any food in that bowl compared to the pictures he said it's capitalism and laughed at us. The manager was less than 5 feet away when we told Nelly at the register about our experience when she asked and she just smirked. I have been there many times but this will be my last. They acted busy with 3 tables and 2 servers. I don't go out for dinner to get laughed at, smirked at or to have to come home and make something to eat because we paid $14 for a little food that shouldn't even cost $8. We have been coming to this location for many years now but since the pandemic business has slowed and the service has started lacking. On this visit we entered and another couple was in front of us along with a gentleman waiting to pay his bill. We were waiting patiently and the gentleman from the couple in front of us had gone looking for assistance and could not find anyone. The gentleman waiting to pay told him the waitress was in the bathroom. They waited a bit longer and finally left. The waitress then came out of the bathroom and finished wiping her hands and walked past the gentleman at the counter. Someone else who may possibly have been the manager came from the kitchen and took the payment from the gentleman waiting. The waitress then called to us from 30 ft away to seat us. I asked for a table rather than a booth and she went to see us at a table next to the only other people in the restaurant. I chose to sit at a different table. Our waitress was friendly and attentive but did not seem very enthusiastic about working. For me I don't believe that I will be back to this location until after everything has settled down. It's good and the service is attentive. An afternoon visit and we had breakfast, burgers and meatloaf, so there isn't time restrictions when you can eat what. Sunday Morning, You know it's a busy time but it's before the church crowd. Honestly, I'm not sure that this BE location gets the church crowd, but they sure get the I-4 corridor crowd and the hotels around. We didn't wait long to be seated, but once seated, it took about 5 minutes for our waitress to come and get our drink order. Once orders were placed, food came out quickly. Food was good, tasty except for the banana nut bread, it was under done. WAY too moist. Would I return? Probably not, but I didn't want Cracker Barrel again. read more

They have their own bakery where they "house bake" pastries, desserts and breads, so I would order something that is made in house. Otherwise, the food is rather generic. Hands down received the best customer service from Adrienne! She was so attentive and on top of stuff. She was so kind and very personal and made me feel more of her guest than a customer. I told her that all the Bob Evans restaurants I've been to, by far she was the best and only waitress with such a great customer skills!! The food was great except the kitchen messed up with certain plates and Adrienne called them out on it. Other than that, food was great! I had a bite of French toast and wow.... it was just so good! Another negative was the host, he just seemed very out of it and did not annunciate when speaking to us. I won't mention his name out of respect but the greeter/seater is the first person that one sees when going in a restaurant and if a lazy approach is presented, it is not welcoming! So glad, however, that wasn't the case throughout our experience. :) The establishment has ample parking so no problem there. Will I go back? Yes! I hope to have Adrienne every time! read more

Great spot for breakfast. Orlando is such a busy city. Not many people know about this place. Love love love their Famers Choice breakfast. My kids are so used to the bigger and/or more popular chains but this is my "go to" breakfast spot...when there's one near by.!!! Came two days in a row. While on Spring Break and attending the Spring Games for college softball March 2020, we experienced a terrible reception at Bob Evans in Florida! No greeting and no smile and we were seated away from others. Waiters never came to give water or take our order. It was not busy and serving staff was just standing around. My husband had experienced a vibe like this before---racism. My daughter and I could not believe it! The manager's name was Yaz. Barb was the receptionist. When we walked out about 20 minutes later, she did not even ask what happened. So sad!! I would not recommend Bob Evans. It is not a comforting environment and there is no hospitality! Boo! Bob Evans is a chain found throughout the South. It is one of only a handful of dining option in Davenport. Their breakfast is quite good. I love their sausage and their sausage gravy. The banana bread is also pretty decent as is their sweet tea. My dad is a big fan of the country biscuit breakfast whereas I prefer the sausage and cheese omelet. For dinner my mom enjoys their chicken pot pie. I like the garlic butter chicken. I would compare Bob Evans in concept to Cracker Barrel, but Bob Evans is more expensive in my experience though they do sometimes run specials. Right now they have 3 course meals for $9.99 or a turkey dinner for $6.99. They take to go orders and have a special entrance for them. They also have whole pies, whole banana bread, and such that you can order to go. The service here is very hit or miss and frequently is a miss. They don't tend to function well when they are crowded. read more

Have been going to this location on and off for 11 years and it is always clean and friendly. It is always freezing in there even when it;s cool outside. Once a month a group of us meet there for lunch. They never rush us and it is easy to hear each other.. not very noisy even when it's very busy.. The food is alway delicious and the service is always great. On occasion because it is so cold in there the food comes out cold. I think they made my order and waited for the others to bring it out- the only problem was my french toast was cold- not even warm. I ate it because I was hungry and it was still delicious but it was definitely cold.
