Called ahead for a party of 6 to join the waitlist on a Sunday morning. Arriving just before 10 a.m. was helpful, since it was much busier when we were leaving 45 minutes later. Our server was friendly enough and the food tasted good, but a major downside was a significant delay in a couple of our orders being delivered. 4 arrived in a timely manner. The 5th took a while longer and mine, the 6th, even longer than that. There really wasn't a good explanation for why that was the case. I did modify my order a bit, but nothing complicated. One specification wasn't even carried out. Asked for over-easy eggs, but they were scrambled (their version of scrambled anyway). I wasn't able to swap out my biscuits for grits, so I just added it on as a side. Fine. I did agree to cheese on the grits, which apparently is an additional charge. Annoying. This was, without question, one of the worst dining experiences I've had--and it was driven almost entirely by the behavior of our server, Will. We came in with a party of 10 and waited over 30 minutes, which we were patient about. But when we were finally seated, we were split up at completely separate tables nowhere near each other. There was clearly enough space to combine tables, yet no effort was made to accommodate us. That's where Will made the situation significantly worse. From the moment he approached us, his attitude was rude, dismissive, and openly unhelpful. Every question or request was met with resistance, as if we were inconveniencing him simply by being there. There was zero attempt to offer solutions or even basic courtesy. Instead of trying to fix a very reasonable issue, he made it clear he had no interest in helping us at all. We asked twice to speak with a manager because of his behavior. Both times, we were denied. No manager ever came out, which is completely unacceptable--especially when a staff member is behaving this way. Rather than resolving anything, we were essentially told to go somewhere else. As we were leaving, Will took it even further by making disrespectful comments under his breath, using foul language that my young children were able to hear. That crossed the line completely. There is no excuse for that kind of behavior in any setting--especially not in a restaurant that claims to be family-friendly. This was not just poor service--this was outright disrespect from a staff member who should not be interacting with customers in this manner. Management needs to seriously address Will's behavior. If this is the standard being allowed, it reflects very poorly on the entire establishment. We will not be returning. read more

First time at this location, I was impressed with the new style of dining area, it was very crisp and clean the wall decor was still present but not in the abundance as the original style of dining room which helped it feel cleaner. Our server started out a bit stiff but as the visit progressed she loosened up ( I attribute this to us arriving right as dining opened sometimes it takes a minute for your coffee to kick in!) I've been here quite a few times in different areas of Florida but this location In particular was my girlfriends first time in general. We have gotten the country boy breakfast with steak tips and as you can see we couldn't even snap a picture of the before lol it was way too good! We also got a pitcher of the original Mimosa. Both meals with the pitcher our tab was only $61 before tip. I'm writing this review because we were really impressed with our service. Robert made sure me and my girlfriend were really taken care of not only was he on point but he continuously kept asking if we were okay or needed anything at such a reasonable time not over excessive he even recommended us our dishes and what sides/drinks. We were excited to see Catfish back on the menu. So we ordered online and got 1 Fried Catfish and 1 Blackened Catfish. REALLY wish there was an option for GRILLED CATFISH without it being blackened. It doesn't need all that extra spice. Or there could be a place on the online ordering app to indicate any modifications. But I didn't see any such field for notes or customization. We enjoyed both styles of catfish and will return next time we're in the mood for catfish. I'll probably call to indicate my preference for un-blackened preparation. The green beans seemed a bit off and the mashed potatoes weren't anything to talk about. Make sure you request gravy. But we liked the carrots, fried okra and mac n cheese. As Rewards Members, we rec'd fried cheese bites that seemed like cheese curds. Unfair to judge them as we didn't eat them fresh at the restaurant, but probably wouldn't get them again as we're not big cheese curd fans. I ended up spending a couple nights at this Cracker Barrel, taking advantage of their hospitality to park in their RV spaces when the restaurant is closed. The other CB in Kissimmee does not (according to rvparky). The parking lot was clean, level and quiet. I was not disturbed. No, I didn't eat during my "stay" because I was always out before they opened and back after they closed. Stealthy. But I will definitely be back to Cracker Barrel soon. It was bright, new lighting, their floors were updated, and their tables were also updated. You could tell the tables were new and they also have installed some half booth/half tables. This is completely new; I have never seen a booth here before. Their menu has seen some updates recently with the biggest change allowing you to create your own breakfast. We personally enjoy this update as my husband usually has to add slices of tomatoes as an extra item, however, they are now an option. Our server was very nice, came over right away, greeted us, took our drink order and was overall just very sweet. We were here for breakfast, so the menu is pretty standard breakfast items. My mom and I went with the grandmas' breakfast: Two Pancakes, two eggs and a sampling of Bacon, Sausage and Ham, Served with choice of Breakfast Side plus 100% Pure Natural Syrup. This is a lot of food; however, their pancakes are so good, and the price is less than a dollar more than the create your own, plus you get the pancakes. I know this is made fresh since sometimes the onions are very large, not chopped and other times, they are almost invisible. I am not a huge onion fan, so I prefer when they are almost invisible. This is just a really good side. Cheesy potatoes, you cant go wrong! All in all, this is a great location, great spot for a home cooked meal and overall, just a staple for us. We don't come here all the time, but when we are craving a really good breakfast, this is the first spot we think of. Their store always has the cutest items especially for holidays. The menu has ddefinitely changed, you can't order the grandma breakfast anymore. Waitress was really rude, she had a crash out. Wish i got her name. They were out of milk, chocolate milk, bread and salad. When we asked about the bread because our meals came with bread, if there were any substitute it -- she gave us an attitude. She was like "it's bread...it's free...if we substituted for everyone we'd run out of EVERYTHING." We waited awhile to get seated when it was kind of empty. When we got seated, they took awhile to go to our table. When we put in orders for kids, the waitress left and said "be right back" and didn't come back. We had to ask someone else to get her to get the rest of our orders in. In the end, they did have bread?? i don't know how. it was kind of odd. she said the pastry chef came back. I wanted to order the chicken and dumplings...but she came back and said they ran out of dumplings too "5 mins ago" when i ordered like 20mins ago. She brought my sides though...without my entree and kind of expected me to eat my entree with no sides?? I ordered curbside pickup from this location twice while I was visiting the area. The first time, I waited 12 minutes beyond the time I was told my order would be ready. I had to walk inside and request my food. It was brought out to me virtually immediately, so I wondered if somebody just hadn't been paying attention. I walked outside and checked my order, and they had left out the condiments and utensils I requested as well. When I walked back in to get that, I walked into the dining area and found the woman who handed me my order, behind a wall, chatting with a coworker. This led me to believe my order had been ready and people just weren't doing their job. When I got home, I realized they also didn't give me the strawberry syrup for the summer French toast special I ordered. Both the burger and sausage were undercooked. The second time was more of the same. I called the store 10 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready. The woman told me to give her a few minutes and she'd be right out. "A few minutes" ended up being an additional 7 minutes. They got my order wrong by giving me a regular burger instead of the more expensive BBQ Bacon burger I ordered. The people were nice enough once I finally got my food, but that doesn't negate everything else. It seems they literally do not monitor curbside pickup at this location. read more

The wife went all out and ordered the pancakes and chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes/gravy and cole slaw. I had the chicken tenders with steak fries and fried okra. Both entrees came with 2 biscuits each. Let's start with the meh/bad. The pancake syrup was watery. The cole slaw and mashed potatoes/gravy were blah. Nothing special and something you just eat if your main dish didn't fill you up. However the fried okra was the worst of all. I love okra. I love the texture and natural flavor of okra. This one was just bad and tasted bland... almost like it was fake. Despite the above, the chicken fried chicken was AMAZING. That was hands down the winner of the show and I'd eat that again and again. Amazing texture and great flavor. The chicken strips, steak fries, and pancakes were exceptional as well. Cracker Barrel does a really good job with their blueberry pancakes. They are consistently served across all locations in the same delicious way. The pancakes are tender, golden brown and fluffy with slightly crunchy ends. It comes with blueberry syrup but I prefer maple. I rarely order anything else in the menu. On this visit I added a sausage patty and grits. The sausage was hard like cardboard and the grits were bland. Next time I will just stick with the pancakes. read more

Out of all the breakfast chains I've been to, Cracker Barrel has proven to me that it is the weakest of them all. Last time I ate at a Cracker Barrel was when I lived in Bismarck, ND and I don't remember caring much for it then. My family and I stopped here for breakfast before my baby sister's soccer game. Let's start with the positives, because there isn't many. (And the only reason there are 2 stars) The service was quick, we got our orders taken fast and the food came out faster. (That should've been the first warning sign.) Our waitress was friendly, but we only saw her like three times. The food was so bad. No flavor, eggs undercooked, hash brown casserole that equates to baby food, and white gravy that should be a crime against humanity. I had never been so disappointed in a breakfast. The final nail in the coffin was the price. For 5 of us, (one of which is a child and it was just basic meals) the total before tip was $71. To put it into perspective, Keke's Breakfast Cafe cost a group of 4 (who also ordered one alcoholic beverage along with basic meals.) only cost around $91, and that's including their tip. The difference is that Keke's food was significantly better than Cracker Barrel's. Overall, I can't in good conscience recommend going here if you're traveling to the area or if you're a local. There are far better restaurants in the area that serve better breakfasts. read more

Wow! Last visit to CB in Ocala really disappointed me, but this store in Kissimmee restored my faith in the CB experience. We were greeted by happy faces opening the door and seating us almost immediately. Our server Tao was on the mark. Thank you to our server Tao for being prompt and welcoming. We ordered Grandmas Pancake breakfast and it was nicely done. The grits were cooked unlike the experience we had in Ocala. Our in and out time was about 35 minutes. I ordered scrambled egg whites. Paired with orange juice. I was really happy that my food came out exactly as I had ordered it & it was not a long wait (luckily we arrived just before their rush). Some of the other items for my party came out incorrect, but it was all resolved quickly & that's really what matters. Love the mini glass containers of maple syrup. Not a fan of the new look it's just easier to see any dirt and dust on the wall, we miss the gas light and cabin feeling Our waitress seemed over worked and stressed they took my husbands order down wrong so his drink and meal was wrong, we let the food runner know it was wrong but they didn't care and said that's how it was ordered and put in , we don't like to fuss so we delt with it however the experience got worse when we ordered two entrees that came with biscuits and we only got two for the table when it used to be four not sure if this is due to stock, staff or menu change.. we didn't get any plates to eat the biscuits or onion petals ( which are mid at best ) so I ripped the bag my utensils came in and ate over that, We didn't even get napkins the whole meal and when our serve caught up with us again her mood seemed really different and she was a lot more hospitable even complementing me , she brought refills for our drinks which normally I would appreciate however since my husbands order was written wrong the first time he wanted the chance to order a new drink... I ordered the breakfast that had sourdough bread with the middle cut out and the egg cooked in the hole. I had asked for over easy, but it came out way cooked, so I had no yolk oozing into the bread.
