Cracker Barrel is a Southern-themed chain located on Battleview Parkway in Manassas that evokes nostalgia for old-time country stores. After passing through the restaurant's storefront, we entered the dining area, which features a spacious interior decorated with vintage items and a large fireplace. The food was excellent, with a homemade feel, served warm, and reasonably priced. Breakfast highlights included strawberry-stuffed cheesecake pancakes, hot fried chicken, and old-fashioned lemonade. Special thanks to our server Bettina for her friendly attitude and attentive service!

I feel like Cracker Barrel's can be hit or miss, but this location was a hit when we were in town for a wedding. We went for lunch, and again for breakfast. Pretty consistent service which was pretty quick and attentive. For lunch, I tried there chicken tenders which were actually low key fire. For breakfast, went with the classic in Grandma's Breakfast Sampler.

Cracker Barrel is close to the hotel. I had been driving all day but I should've known better. I stopped. I got the hamburger steak with three sides the menu said it comes with grilled onions and gravy. I got a burger patty cooked to the point that it's like a hockey disc, no gravy no onions and the coleslaw taste rancid now the to go waitress said do you want to see the food and I said I'm gonna trust you, but I should've known better. It's garbage.

We saw the ad on tv for chicken fried turkey and 'tis the season, we decided to drive 30 minutes to Manassas for this new item. Ahhhh, parking the car, we see the lit up Cracker Barrel store with Christmas decorations. Walking in, Christmas and Thanksgiving items dominate the store. Since we arrive before prime dinner time, we were able to get a table for 2 easily. Because of a shift change, it took a while for our server to take our drink and food order. After 10-15 minutes we got our food. I ordered the country fried turkey with green beans and turnip greens. My food was warm but not hot. The ad mentioned the turkey was fried to a crisp perfection and juicy. Mine was dry and crunchy. And not hot. If you see the pictures, the gravy congealed. There was flavor from the crust of the fried turkey but the turkey was thin & dry. Did I mention dry? The green beans and greens were better tasting as they were juicy unlike the dry turkey. My son got his food piping hot. Chicken tenders juicy and crispy. The sides hashbrown cass and mac n cheese were warm as well. The steak was hot and cooked medium rare. Good garlic salt flavor but the steak was tough and not tender. It was beefy and juicy though. Service was good. I got a refill before asking for one as my iced tea was diminishing. Sign of good service is the little things like this. Overall, food was avg but service was above avg. Country music could be cranked up a bit over the speakers. Still love walking through the store and find cool stuff. Halloween items 70% off!!!!!

Stopped fot breakfast here with the family. First time I have been to one without a wait. We sat right down, ordered and food. Food was a little slow to come out considering it was fairly empty, but came out good tasting good. Some of the things were salty and one of the plates was cold. Overall what you would expect at a cracker barrel.

So, a quick stop into the Old Country store was warranted, so we went and had dinner. Seated promptly, our waitress was quick and polite and pleasant. (I'm mad I don't have her name to give her props!). New menu and since the host didn't offer the breakfast menu, we had to ask did they stop serving breakfast all day....They still do. But.... The resturant was as all CBs are, w wiped down table but just barely to the level of clean that keeps you coming back.. We ordered the granny apple tea and it was the bomb. Needs to stay on the menu all year. I got the southern chicken and she the catfish. (Dinner food) Decent portions of food all around and served at a good temperature. Okay... why has Cracker Barrel abandoned the use of seasoning in their cooking process. There is only so much salt and pepper can to at the table. And even the new menu looks bland.. Remember the meat in the green beans and turnip greens, the buttery biscuits, butter on the broccoli when it was hot? But, the catfish was hot and flaky, but bland. The chicken was fried, had some taste but you could tell it had been sitting back there under heat lamps for a minute, dry and tough. (Again, for me to call it dry.... Dang.) I miss the flava!!! Breakfast food is better here but even that is starting to lack taste. Yeah, I know I'll be back but not as often as I used to and probably only for breakfast.

Had the featured French toast berry bake. Looked good on the special menu - and it didn't disappoint! It's pretty much like a breakfast bread pudding. Great flavors with the fruit too. Bacon was on point. Four star review because we didn't get any biscuits (is inflation to blame or did our server forget because it was busy?) & the vanilla latte was not good.

Ask the Community - Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I know some places don't list chocolate pancake on the menu but upon request, they would do it. Does this place have something like that?

I'm pretty sure they have chocolate chip pancakes, or you could ask for a side of chocolate fudge syrup (which they use on their ice cream sundaes). I love Cracker Barrel and they are always eager to accommodate request, that may not be on the menu.… Read more

But trust me, this is one of those places you'll be glad you found. I love Turkey, and the second I tried their food, it genuinely took me right back. We ordered the traditional Turkish breakfast, and it was one of those meals where the food just keeps coming in the best way possible. Everything felt fresh, flavorful, comforting, and so clearly made with care. We also tried the flatbread, a meat wrap, smoothies, their special soup which was so good I would absolutely go back just for that, warm catmir for dessert, and a bunch of appetizers. Honestly, everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. I also had the chance to meet the owner and chef, who was incredibly kind and clearly puts so much heart into this place. And the restaurant itself completely surprised me because it is way bigger inside than you'd expect. Super clean, modern, beautifully designed, and honestly such a cute brunch spot. Weekend music nights? Love that. Girls brunch? Absolutely. Date night? Definitely. Family dinner? 100 percent. Finding the love of your life? Slightly better odds if someone's mom brings their eligible son. Overall, this really is such a lovely hidden gem and absolutely worth checking out if you're craving authentic Turkish food in the Manassas area.

It comes with a variety of spreads, sweet and savory. All freshly made. The fig jam, butter and honey, feta spread and tomato one were amazing!! Everything was exactly what I hoped for and more. The starters were standout, the entrees were packed with flavor, and the overall aesthetic of the space was just beautiful. I loved this as other places I checked into were much more restrictive with a higher minimum spend and fixed menus for groups larger than 8. We had 12 in our group. We started with a bunch of appetizers for the table and cocktails. Appetizers included the bacon tower, fried green tomatoes, hushpuppies, crispy chicken wings, and Mediterranean garlic shrimp. Dinner entreés were jambalaya pasta, the American wagyu burger, pulled short rib rigatoni and branzino almondine. There were zero complaints. We enjoyed EVERYTHING!!
