The Milk & Honey restaurant in Bristow, VA just opened yesterday, Monday, June 22, 2026. This Milk & Honey location aka "Milk & Honey Southern Inspired Kitchen is located in the Braemar Village Plaza - in the space formerly occupied by Velocity Wings. For some reason - their web site lists them as "Gainesville Now Open," however, the restaurant is located in Bristow, VA. I was driving by this morning (June 23) and noticed the "open" sign and decided to check them out. I've never visited a Milk & Honey ever. I sat at a high top table in the bar as I am not a booth fan. After looking over the menu - I ordered "The Traditional" which is two eggs, breakfast potatoes, choice of breakfast meat, and a choice of bread. I went with eggs over easy, pork bacon, and a biscuit. I asked for some butter and jam to go with the biscuit - I got some sort of whipped butter and peach jam. Eggs were cooked properly - I added some black pepper and hot sauce to the eggs and potatoes. Everything was tasty! Service was excellent. Paid with Apple Pay. I'l be back to try out some of the other menu items! #MilkAndHoney

Fried green tomatoes under all that salad. They were sadly soggy.

I wanted to love this place so much! The vibe is cool and the menu sounded great, but the kitchen execution is the cooking was just not there. Dishes were described as having a variety of sauces and flavors so we were eager to try a few items, but foods were either dry or overly sauces. Breakfast cocktails were good, but on the weaker side. I believe the restaurant is new, so perhaps it just needs time to get the kinks worked out.

Food was subpar and prices were outrageous for the quality of food. Would not recommend! Very disappointing

Omg so many thoughts on this experience…read more I'm so glad i didn't immediately know it was a restaurant located in a hotel. This prob would have deterred me, even a little bit. The Apple map directions here confused me a little due to this, but parking was really plentiful so that's a huge plus! I went on a Sunday morning and lo and behold there was a hole farmers market or pop up set up all through haymarket! Busy weekend for a brunch but haymarket is SUCH a cute little vibe and town with so many hidden gems, like this one!! Literally every single item I saw waiters bring out from the kitchen looked so scrumptious, every person around us immediately began digging in and enjoying their meals...and honestly, no crumbs were left behind pretty much every time. We started ordering a yummy cocktail. I was really in the mood for the Paloma with grapefruit juice but sadly they were out of grapefruit juice fortunately, they had plenty cocktails available that were not explicitly on the menu! I ended up having a delicious espresso martini, prepared, right and honestly, I would have had another!! Not too sweet. Not creamy. And with 3 beans. Impeccable no notes. I ordered the red House breakfast. Man those home potatoes were so delicious....they clearly cooked them seasoned deliciously and then flash fried, so crunchy!!!! Amazing. I found that their execution on their meals was really impressive. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly and paired so yummy with the toast. The bacon had delicious flavor too. I ordered a biscuit because I had heard that their biscuits were really yummy but unfortunately they did not have their bacon biscuit so it was just a classic biscuit. It was good, certainly dense and clearly homemade. My girlfriend got the poutine. Looked so delicious and was really enjoyed! The gravy was thick and flavorful! We sat down and enjoyed plenty of conversation and a really nice environment. Nobody rushed us, service was just the right amount of attentive without interrupting conversation constantly, and the floor to ceiling windows let in beautiful natural light and views of the town. It was the perfect brunch spot for a low-key, but delicious meal. Just a hair out of the way without being too far. I came out with a really good friend of mine to celebrate my one year wedding anniversary with her and it was the perfect possible location. Shout out to the staff for being so welcoming and kind, and even taking a picture of us when we asked to commemorate the occasion. I'm sure they are used to people walking in to the hotel lobby looking as confused as I was looking for red House Tavern.

Not the best experience for brunch. The waitress was unenthusiastic and came back to the table…read moremultiple times to let us know they were out of items including: the juice that came with the mimosa flight after we ordered it, another bottle of champagne for anyone else who wanted mimosas, (so mimosas overall, lol), the avocado toast, the poutine and another key ingredient in a cocktail we ordered. The food was average at best when it came out. Super disappointed. We came here for my mom's 5 year beating cancer anniversary and it wasn't much of a celebration.

Let me first say there…read moreare not any fun and well done gastropubs in Gainesville, and this restaurant certainly stands to prove that point. Stereotypical decor and menu, Grains and Grog stood painfully empty on a Saturday afternoon playing music nostalgic to anyone who graduated high school before 2010. I ordered a Manhattan. Hallway through, looking down at the bottom of the glass, I saw two tiny flies floating at the bottom. As disgusted as one can reasonably be, I asked for another one to be made (why I bothered, I can't say. Maybe it was because I had already drank half). I found another small fly in the second before the server left the table. Another fly in the third as well. We didn't finish our meals for obvious reasons. They brought us the check, discounted the manhattans and 50% the check, though I didn't feel I should have paid anything. After paying the check, they said it was a mistake. They brought us the wrong one and would void the sale. The "correct" check they brought us was the full meal sans the 3 botched manhattans. We won't be going back

The servers are nice and you can pick your own seat. The food did take almost an hour to come out, but it was a very packed weekend. I enjoyed the live singers performing too!

We are from Seattle so thrilled for the Seahawks! They simply dominated this whole season and especially last night! Keep up the good work, boys! This place is very nice has lots of overhead tv with a large dance hall and prominent stage for bands to play. Service or lack their of a definite issue especially at checkout, I gave a good tip and I said thank you, the staff did not even acknowledge-we were so happy with our experience- both watching the game and the band-but definitely dampened by the unfriendly staff at checkout. What's with the ´titude? We did not order food. We ate at UJ before coming here. When we arrived-place was full-and then this nice gentleman offered to share the extra chairs in his table which was really kind-it did set the great mood & vibe but not by the staff workers but rather of the good patrons to this place-and yes, drinks my hubby had were pricey $24 each time, he was charged 8 drinks so not sure about that-oh well, it was a fun night-well worth game watching the Seahawks play against SF and seeing the Reflex at the same time! Simply overload of joy!
