What happened to this location? We stopped in today and were seated within five minutes, but then sat there for **30 minutes without a single server acknowledging us**. Not even a quick, "Hi, we'll be with you shortly." Nothing. My husband finally wanted to leave, so I went to the hostess and asked if we could be seated in another section. Instead of simply moving us, they made us walk to the back and show them exactly where we had been sitting. Ugh! I just wanted to eat! LOL. We were eventually seated in another section, where the waitress immediately took our order. The food came out about 20 minutes later. The food was good, but my husband's gravy wasn't ready, so he finished his entire breakfast and part of my chicken before it finally arrived. No one refilled our drinks until we asked. I would've blamed the service on being short-staffed, but that wasn't the case. There were plenty of servers, and our original section had three. It honestly just felt like no one cared. The restaurant was also full of dirty tables and people waiting forever just to place drink orders. **It was a complete mess.** I felt like I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone. I hadn't been to Cracker Barrel in a couple of years. I always loved the meatloaf; so went today. The meatloaf was dry, and the mashed potatoes also dry. The green beans were still delicious thank goodness. Biscuits were so-so. I guess it will be a while before I go back.waitress was friendly. We were promptly sat as soon as we walked in the door. And then we sat. And sat. And sat. For 20 minutes in a half empty restaurant. Multiple waiters walking by and looking right at us. The woman who we *think* was our waitress was helping the bus boy clear off his tables while she had people waiting at at least two clean tables who had not yet been served. Why worry about helping him clear more when you have more than you can handle already and plenty of clean ones to use until you catch up? Nobody ever came by to take our order. We finally walked back to the hostess and handed her our menus and told her nobody ever came to take our order so we were leaving. She said "Oh. Were you in the 3rd dining room?" We confirmed yes. And then she casually said "Oh. Ok. I'm sorry. Have a good night." And we walked out. I used to wait tables at Cracker Barrel. I guess the days are gone where they used to time us in getting orders in from the time people were sat to the time their orders were taken. read more

Yesterday I went to Cracker Barrel with my family, when I tell you our service was horrible I mean freaking horrible. Our server Mikayla was far from on her shit after she " took our order" she came back to our table 2 separate times asking " wait did you guys have this with your meal" like I'm sorry but did you write one thing down on your paper? But anyway when she brought our orders out, there was two things missing. not to mention it took like 10 minutes to get our drinks when we got there. but the food was pretty good. Food was very Good and you got a decent portion, the service was very, very slow. We received it for 10 minutes before our server came. It probably took another 10 minutes to get our drink order which was just water and then it probably took her another 10 minutes to come back and get our order. She stated they had a big catering order that they were trying to get out so probably took a good 45 minutes or more to get our dinner and the restaurant was not that busy I would go back for the food, but I was not impressed with the service. read more

My father & i are driving from CT to WA to visit family. The hostess greated us as soon as we walked up, she was super sweet. Our server Tiffany was so nice putting up with my dad's "dad jokes". Nice & friendly, attentive. Our meal was delicious. I had tbe NY strip with baked potato and baby carrots. Dad had meatloafdinner with mashed and broccoli. We got corn bread & biscuits with a side of apple butter. I could have drank a pitcher of pink lemonade. So yummy.The 2 ladies working in the store were helpful and nice. I had never been to a cracker barrel. I will recommend to friends and customers where I work. So many fun , cute items and great variety of old time & new candy. read more

After church a few of the members wanted to go out for dinner. I'm not a fan of Cracker Barrel but I chose to go anyway. So I placed my order for the grandmas sampler, I was told that it would be an upcharge for turkey. I felt that was fine, until I received my check. I was charged .99 cents on every sausage that I was given. When you think of an upcharge, you think it's just a set fee, not on every piece of meat. When I spoke to the manager and tried to explain that I wasn't told this, he said that he did tell me, which he did, but what he didn't say was there is a charge for every piece of meat. I told him had I known that I would have gotten 1(one) piece instead of the 3(Three) that came with the meal. I told the manager, I didn't think this was right. So the manager tried to embarrass me in front of my group by saying, "You are a Christian, so am I and that I didn't have to be rude." My whole group looked at him, because we knew my status as a Christian had NOTHING to do with my bill nor was I rude to him. That it was not his pricing and that I can take it up with corporate because they are the ones that do the pricing."I told him that I would pay my bill, and leave. The manager whose name is Chris, was not helpful at all, nor was he professional. Chris did not say he was sorry or anything, my concern was just that. He cared more about my status as a Christian than being the manager that helps the customer. I will no longer visit this restaurant. I will also be forwarding this to the corporate office! read more

This spot used to be one of if not THE BEST spots to get a guaranteed fresh meal but as of late, the service is very lackluster to say the least. Coffee is not fresh and taste either burnt or as if they don't clean or decalcify their coffee pot. And amongst the most annoying aspect of coming to this location is the current observing one waitress by the name of Brie who doubles and a manager who looks around criticizing other patrons for not tipping properly or even soliciting her number to other patrons with no awareness or sense of decorum. Mid-afternoon visit here on a Sunday so we expected to miss the big lunch crowd but table for two was about 20 minutes. Their estimate was pretty close. Be sure to stay close and note how many names are before you especially with similar table size. We're pretty sure they have no interest in seating you quickly since they want you to walk around the store and buy something. Once we got seated, we realized-after picking up the menu- that the table was not cleaned. Sticky and ketchupy. Not like it was subtle. Of course our menu consequently gets food on it. We note this unclean table to our server, Lydia and she immediately takes care of it. We review the menu and after about 5-10 minutes place our orders for fried chicken. Food takes about 25 minutes to be served. It just seemed like a long time. Rowdy family behind me with glass breakage going on. Didn't really come here for quiet ambiance but it was noisier than I remembered. As we wait for our food we note that all the pictures and artifacts on the wall are in need of a thorough dusting. Don't think that is part of the experience. Lydia was a great server and the fried chicken was very good. Wife got breast tenders and I got bone in. You do get plenty and with sides it is a good value. Most people will probably take some home. I did feel like the batter was a little on the salty side, probably a seasoning that is in the mix. Whole experience was about 90 minutes, longer than we anticipated but we were on our way back home to Indy and fortunately not in a big rush. read more

Service - the service here was excellent. We came on a Saturday morning and expected it to be super busy but it was Easter weekend, so most were probably shopping for Sunday dinner, etc. It wasn't very crowded. We were seated immediately at a nice table for four for the two of us. Our wait person was kind, polite, efficient, and super charming. Food - as always this did NOT disappoint. The prices may have gone up over the years and the portions may have gotten smaller - but the food quality was still above average. I would return and definitely check out the shoppe in the lobby area - there is SO much to see! read more

This was without a doubt the worst food I have ever had at Cracker Barrel. The salad came out pressed flat as though it was pre-made and stacked in a refrigerator- the croutons were soft. Three Stars out of Five. While the service and hospitality have not diminished, the quality of the food definitely has. When we lived in this area 20 years ago, this Cracker Barrel was a regular stop for us. The Wife and I would always order The Uncle Herschel's breakfast (she'd get grilled catfish and I would get mine fried). The closest thing on the menu now is The Country Boy. Ok. No problem. Our waitress even let us build our own breakfast to get what we wanted. Outstanding. She was very attentive and after we spoke, I found that she was a former student of mine from 10 years ago when I first became a Principal. Good stuff. I ordered the onion petals as an appetizer and they were great. That comeback sauce was on point! However, when our entrees came, they were hot, but very bland. We both had biscuits & gravy, as well as scrambled eggs with cheese. The sawmill gravy was tasteless and so were the eggs, which tasted powdered. The biscuits were decent and so were the stewed apples. The fish on both plates was good. The coffee was also piping hot. Not a bad cup. When we went to cash out, our cashier was very friendly. She enrolled us in their rewards program, which garnered us a free appetizer, which she used on the onion petals. Winner! Winner! I also noticed another server wave at a gentleman who was seated while we were eating. She came over and spoke to him, nothing that he was in a little later than usual. Good customer service. Cracker barrel, it's still good but it's not what it use to be. The pancakes are different, they use to be great, now they are just ok. They use to have crispy edges, now they are regular Ole pancakes you get every where else. The meat on my grandma's breakfast seems to have a smaller portion size, my ham slice was more like a hame bite. All in all I would eat here again but I would not go out of my way to come here. read more

The hostess tried to sit me next to a dirty, un-bused table. When we looked around, there were MORE tables that were dirty and not bused yet rather than tables filled with patrons. Yikes CB. After my meal, I talked to the manager Don who showed zero emotion when I showed him the photos of the dirty tables. He never once said "sorry" or "how can I make this better". He simply said "I don't know what's going on out here- I was in the back". I was disgusted by his complete lack of ownership as the manager and his sad excuse for an appropriate response to a customer complaint. He walked away without saying anything to close the conversation. When I checked out, the gal gave me the CB phone #and said to call their other manager Brian because "he will actually listen to you". We were seated at 12:56PM. The waitstaff did not greet us for another 20 minutes. Finally when she did come by us and asked if we wanted something to drink we asked for water which took another 15 minutes. When she brought the water we told her we were ready to order and she walked away from us. Finally she came back and took our order. I asked if she could bring some biscuits to the table and they never appeared. My husband went to find any waitstaff and asked if we could have some biscuits. Since I had taken my medication prior to that my stomach had started to hurt. ( I didn't think I needed to make any food for myself as I took it just prior to going to the restaurant.) As my husband was hunting down some kind of Waitstaff I noticed on the table behind me two pristine biscuits. Desperate times calls for desperate measures. I grabbed those biscuits and promptly smeared it with the butter and scarfed down that biscuit. After a back and forth with our waitstaff she finally brought the food to the table. It was dried out and my mashed potatoes were hard as a rock. We talked to her about the situation and at the same time my husband grabbed one of his shrimp from the shrimp cookout and it was dried and smelled really bad. I couldn't take it anymore nor could my husband and we walked out. On the way to greener pastures I stopped at the kitchen door and told them to cancel the cheeseburger order that was going to be my husband's new meal. I have ordered the same thing for the last 35 years , ( country boy breakfast) now they changed it so you cannot get steak! To top it off it took 40 minutes to just get drinks. The appetizers came 10 minutes after the food came. The server was new but totally incompetent. 5 people 4 straws kind of this. My skillet was served with warm scramble, 1 piece of regular bacon, topped with fridge cold veggies and onion rings. I spoke with the wait staff and it was returned to the kitchen to be re cooked 3mins later the plate returns no different from when I sent it back just hot from the microwave. Plopped in the microwave and then plopped back on my table. I drove past many other options on my way south from Chicago, and told myself the cracker barrel won't let me down. The waiter was very good kept our drink filled as the to guys that were with me drink a lot . They a father and son and they both have a disorder that course them to need lots of liquid to be able to swallow food some times so the more they drink the better. Two of use had the cat fish meals. Our son had chicken and dumplings meal. Had different sides but we all had the fried apples. Enjoyed looking at the different ads and old items . Also really like the big fire place. In winter it has a fire in it that is nice. Used a gift card for $ 50 that I had and it cover most of our three meals. Always enjoy eating at a Cracker Barrel. Our server was wonderful. However the quality of the food at this location is hit or miss. You can get an excellent meal, then the next time it is barely tolerated. Management at this location really doesn't do anything but say thank you for the feed back. This last visit I sent the hashbrown casserole back because it tasted dry, burnt and no cheese. Guess what, I got the same brought back to me. But I love Cracker Barrells at other locations. This is the only one that I have a problem with. read more

Breakfast at cracker barrel not bad not to much you can do to mess up breakfast...this location I had never been to and they did not have paper menus ..I was surprised, they had menus in plastic sleeves. The waitress was nice especially since I complained about the side of apples they charge $2.98 for and the bowl was only half full, she did bring me another bowl to match the one u had to make a full order, overall I had bacon, eggs and a biscuit. One thing was different they use to bring you biscuits, cornbread but I only had the one biscuit that came with my meal. Of course I will visit another one. read more

Really had a good experience at those Cracker Barrel. The last one that I visited out of town was not so great. we were said with in 10 minutes when the wait was there to be 20 which was good. We sat at a fresh clean table and was greeted by our server Katrina. She provided us excellent service. And also repeated our order back to make sure she got it right. Everything out came out fresh and hot. And she checked on us often. She really made our experience good and ambience was welcoming. read more

Their biscuits are definitely a must try. It's one of the few places that's not overly salted. They're pretty good with their gravy too. The eggs and sausage were very standard. Something you can easily make at home. Not much else to say other than that. Their menu selection is super basic. You won't see any omelettes, skillets, frittatas, or even an eggs benedict. Not sure why but for some reason when they ask you how you want your eggs they won't poach it. Never had that happen before. If it's your first time it's a bit chaotic with all their merchandise at the entrance of their store. The entrance to the dine in area is deeper in the store. They do have hand sanitizer at the entrance but it's super easy to miss. I didn't notice it was there til I was exiting the store. Social distancing isn't strongly enforced despite all the signs around the store and restaurant. A family was seated only a couple feet next to me by the server. Had to leave immediately since that's just unacceptable. Their signs seem to be just for show mostly. read more
