We got in fast and they were so friendly. The food came out fast and hot. The biscuit and gravy were a solid choice the biscuit was fluffy and soft and the gravy has enough sausage that it could have been a side by itself. When we stopped, there were a large numbers of locals, as you could tell with the friendly interaction between servers and patrons. The food was flavorful and well prepared. This is my second time going to this establishment. My first experience here was great. My server was a friend from high school and she took care of us. However, upon my second time going, we had a different server and I ordered waffles with whipped cream just like I did before. The first picture you see here is what the server did to my waffles. I'm not sure what inspired her to put whipped cream all over my waffles like this, but it was extremely rude. It's not rocket science. I told her to put the whipped cream on the side because she clearly doesn't know how to apply whipped cream to a waffle. A few minutes later, they bring out a fresh waffle with whipped cream on the side. My friend sitting across from me ordered the chicken and waffles, and their meal was made correctly. However, this tedious process caused me to get the ick from this place. I will not be going back there again. I'm giving them one star because of how blatant and rude the manager & server was when it came to making my food correctly again. He did not come up to the table to apologize for the inconvenience. The atmosphere is so welcoming and homey, the staff is always friendly and very helpful (Lily & Lisa are two of the sweetest and best waitresses we've ever had).
