Whenever my family and I go to Cracker Barrel it is very good. The waiters are nice, food comes out quick and delicious. But, today I came in with my granddaughter and we both got the momma's breakfast. She got it with pancakes and bacon and I got it with French toast and sausage. When I went to go cut a piece of sausage, it wouldn't even cut because it was hard. It seemed like it was sitting out and then re cooked. Once it did cut, I went to go put in my mouth and immediately spit it out because of how bad it was. It was terrible. It was cold and when I did try to bite it, it took a few tries. I remember I came here with my wife a while ago, and the sausage was perfect. Soft, easy to cut through, and delicious. This was the only negative part about my experience today. Couldn't decide what we wanted for dinner after we both decided we weren't in the mood to cook and something said to me "Try a Family Meal" from somewhere (since I've never ordered one) and after about 30 seconds I said what the heck - never tried a family meal from anywhere and haven't had Cracker Barrell in ages and it just so happens to be close so that's where I landed! This location is tucked behind an Applebees and a Comfort Inn so it's not easy to spot from the road but the signage was good. I tried to order on the app ahead of time but the app kept crashing so I trucked on in and placed my order with an employee. The family meal we went with was Garlic Steak Tips + Buttermilk Tenders, 2 large family sides and biscuits. All for about $60 ... and it definitely can feed 4 and maybe 5 people so in my eyes it's a bargain. Wait time for the food was pretty long but I didn't blame the staff because they literally had 2 bus loads of tourists pull up right after I walked in and they were slammed. They were very apologetic and offered me a complimentary beverage while I waited ... and while I waited I of course perused their "country store" and found myself purchasing a cast iron skillet with associated scrubber, a strawberry Charleston Chew and an bottled Verners Gingerale which I haven't had since last in Detroit. The tenders were really good but really thin and the steak tenders were decent but a little overcooked. The turnip greens were the star and the pintos were decent. Oh and the biscuits ... we literally received a dozen lol and they were ok too. We'll more than likely try a different family meal in the near future or pop back in to dine in. read more

I love Cracker Barrel. It's always a good time for breakfast. I love the shop, and left with an adorable Snoopy. Their things are sometimes silly but cute. There was a line when we arrived, but it moved quickly. The food was comfortable as always, and the fruit was fresh. It took a while to get a drink refill, but nothing devastating. The downside was their toilets were flooding, and the restroom floor was almost completely soaked. I know water is water and there was nothing to suggest it was more then water, but more then one sign about slippery floors would have been nice! I didn't realize until someone else flushed and that set off the flooding facilities. read more

Cracker Barrel has been around for decades and it has been my mom's go to place and the ladies in the store. Part always greet her with such enthusiasm because my mom really loves all of their clothes and all of their cute trinkets and sweet thoughtful cards that she loves to get for her grandchildren and dear friends as well We really enjoy spending time with Jenn and Cynthia who works usually in the evening. I Must share that we recently got a gift card for my mom's birthday and planned to use it to e jot a meal out, my mom hasn't been well for some time but she Loves the staff here and They like her lots, too. Well, the gift card wouldn't work and the Manager took great care of us and it All worked out and man, THAT was Soooooooo embarrassing but Have No Fear. It All worked out and they made sure to help us get it connected. It wasn't like a Corporate "store/feeling". They made sure we were ok. Like a Family. Went for a breakfast and a dinner during our long drive. We liked the convenience since near the NJ Turnpike, good quick meals at good prices. I added steak tips to a dinner meal for about $6. Excellent service at this location. From the merchandise store employees to the waitstaff who were very attentive and pleasant. I had an issue with my order and it was replaced right away and comped too. I have their app and was able to use "pegs" for complimentary drinks, and used an email offer for % off. Haven't been to Cracker Barrel in ages. We decided to go and check it out. We went around 11ish on a Sunday and decided to go for the breakfast menu. The server was pleasant and attentive. We got a hot chocolate and the seasonal pumpkin french toast and the old timer's breakfast. The hot chocolate tasted like it was made with water, but it I was still good. My pumpkin french toast was very good. It was three pieces and had an icing drizzling and butter. It didn't need much syrup at all. I got bacon as a side and it was fried up perfectly. Not overdone and had the perfect amount of crisp and not too much fat. The Old Timer's breakfast initially only came out with the sausage and eggs. We had to ask for the hashbrowns and the biscuits and gravy. Then we ended up with two servings of biscuits and gravy! It was a very heavy breakfast. After feeling extremely stuffed from breakfast we perused the store area. It has a great selection of old fashion candies and individual bottled sodas along with toys and house decor and some clothing. They were having a sale on the Halloween items, however for whatever reason the cards were not included, even though they were right next to the sign and the sign didn't have anything about exclusions...it was the one thing we were going to buy...oh well. read more

My girlfriend and I were picking up my daughter for the weekend and wanted to have Cracker Barrel! We haven't had this in a long time and we were excited! However, we were disappointed with the food! Not sure if it was just the location but it tasted like they changed the recipe. We ordered chicken and dumplings with Mac and cheese, burger sliders for my daughter, and country fried chicken with fries and coleslaw! The chicken and dumplings lacked a lot of flavor! It needed pepper and salt to help a bit! The country fried chicken batter had flavor. However, the chicken itself didn't have much flavor. My daughter did enjoy the sliders! The fries lacked salt, the Mac and cheese didn't have flavor, and the coleslaw was ok at best. Not sure if we will be coming back anymore! read more

Food was not the best to say the least I got the Nashville hot chicken and the chicken was super oily and fatty and the sides (fries and Mac&Cheese) were small portions and tasted terribly so. Not all negatives the ambiance is great giving a cozy feel and our server Patrick was a rock star unfortunately the food fell flat and ended up just leaving after a bite or two. I came to Cracker Barrel with my mother and her friend and my girlfriend for lunch. Lunch is a special time I get to spend with my mother. Let's talk about the food first off let me start with the silverware. My mother's silverware was filthy and our waitress was nowhere to be found luckily Daniel took care of it, he was the real rockstar of the day. Our wait time for simple pancakes was 45 mins... Let's get back to the food. My mother ordered pecan pancakes which came super burnt and she never got her pecan syrup and she is allergic to eggs which there was a piece of egg on her plate with her bacon. My mom ate the pancakes but couldn't finish them and she threw up in the bathroom after eating. It wasn't just her because I ate my pancakes as well and felt nauseous afterwords but mine weren't as badly burnt as hers. My scrambled eggs were drippy and runny which made me not want them at all. My sausage looked uncooked, it looked like it was still alive and tasted nasty, I didn't eat it. My girlfriend's meal had the same problems and my mom's friend never got his toast as well. Everything was a mess and the waitress was nowhere to be found like she was avoiding us, my mom had to call over Daniel and he was a total rockstar trying his best to make it a great experience. He should get a raise because he tried his best to make our experience better. We called over the manager Lee who was friendly and was shocked at hearing about our experience. He is aware of the issues and is going to make sure it doesn't happen again. He comped our meal and made it right and asked us to come back again next time. I will come back in the future thanks to the manager and the rockstar server Daniel who tried to make things better. I hope next time will be a better experience as I love Cracker Barrel and me and my family enjoy coming here. Now I get it! I never understood the hype about Cracker Barrel because I hadn't experienced it. Now that I have.... Ohhhhh I see and understand the hype. The food was good, portions were generous, service was good and the cost was beyond reasonable. I went with the steak, eggs whites and hash browns. It was sooooo good. I didn't need to add or take away anything! Our table was nice and cozy. Off to the side but still in the thick of the action. My family and I had Mr. Scott as our waiter and he was great! He was so good we had to go twice in one day.

I've been here a while ago. Thought this would be a good choice to take mom on a Sat afternoon. The ambiance is always a southern restaurant kinda place to me. Wooden furniture throughout. Spacious seating between customers. I didn't feel like i was seating up on anyone. Mom had the Apple French toast. It looked good on the menu photo. It was not as good looking on the plate. She took a couple of bites and told it taste like it was burnt. When I turned it over, it was. The manager was kind enough to remove it from the check and allowed mom to get 5 wings and mash potatoes to go. I had the chicken pot pie. And that, I can say, was really good. It's really, really good. Flaky thin crust on top of chunks of chicken and veggies and tasty gravy. I almost ordered a second one to go. It was that good. A side of fried sweet apples had the southern flavor. The sweet tea was not so sweet. But overall, it was not too bad an experience. Would try this place again. read more

Initially, I was excited to visit this old establishment because I used to like it when I traveled on the road. In those times, Cracker Barrel had a full salad bar. This time, I didn't care for my experience. My food was okay, but the prices are too much for the meal. I had lunch there and ordered the Country roast beef. It came with one side and I chose a salad. On the menu, I missed that there was an upcharge of $2.59 for salad, which didn't sit right with me. This side salad had iceburg lettuce, grape tomatoes, one slice of cucumber and way too many croutons. If this were a good salad, I wouldn't have minded. So all in all, my roast beef was served with 3 pieces of carrots, a couple onions and a heavy gravy, plus the mashed potatoes. This lunch meal was $19. plus tax. My server, Jordyn, was very nice and good at her job, but neither she nor the cashier offered to take off the upcharge. The store merchandise was overpriced too. Unfortunately, I won't be going back for lunch, or dinner. read more

I am not someone who leaves bad reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. The mac and cheese was watery and completely tasteless, and the rest of the dishes were mediocre at best, which was especially surprising given their past consistency. The pecan pie was overpriced and overwhelmingly sugary, lacking the rich flavor one would expect. Even more upsetting, this was our Thanksgiving meal, and much of the food went barely eaten, turning what should have been a joyful family holiday into frustration and heartache. On top of the food issues, I was charged twice, and then charged again one week before Christmas, adding unnecessary financial stress during the holidays. The worst service I've experienced in quite some time. It appeared that each server was waiting on 2 tables each, yet it still took 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee. From the moment he came to my table to take my drink order he expressed that "it was his second day on the job and if zI had any questions if he didn't know the answer he would ask." When he returned with the drinks he proceeded to tell me that I won't be disappointed with him as my server. He was ABSOLUTELY correct. His service was impeccable S Ottis truly made my dining experience one of the best. My first time at a Cracker Barrel and I have to admit, I low key loved the place. The store portion is as experience within itself and actually since we had to wait a while to sit down, worked out in our favor. There was a lot of browse. They put out holiday stuff quite early and I wasn't ready for it in August. There is a lot of other things to explore though. Once we sat down, I was surprised to see that there were many empty tables and we still had about an hour's wait. I was there in August of 2021, for context. Anyway, what I like it that there are a lot of options for you. I wasn't expecting to find any healthy options at all but I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't like that you can't customize the sampler. It was a shame because I don't eat pork but I wanted to try more of the menu. Anyway, huge fan of the cornbread and the bread rolls. I ended up getting grilled fish which was pretty standard. My husband got the meatloaf which was really good. Would get that for the next time I go. Also definitely get their Mac and cheese, it's amazing. It's priced appropriately, you definitely have to visit one at least once! read more

Server was good, but me and another member of my party (4 of us) got the wrong burger, when we ordered nearly the same thing, just without the bun. We sent it back and the waiter kept saying it would be out shortly, ended up waiting over an hour to get what we ordered. Still wasn't complete, and they were as hard hockey pucks. We ordered them medium and medium rare. They were extremely well done. Had to call a manager over as there was not one anywhere. Ended up taking them off the bill, but we were extremely unimpressed.
