Our server, Claire, was friendly, helpful and attentive. The familiar kitschy/country atmosphere had not changed. We ordered their 'Country Sampler'. Our order included a decent slice of meatloaf, a big piece of breaded, fried chicken breast, fried okra, hash brown casserole, corn muffins and biscuits. Everything was what we had come to expect: the meatloaf was as good as any I've had in a restaurant. The chicken arrived still sizzling hot from the kitchen. The hash brown casserole was as good as expected. The breads seemed fresh and warm. It seemed to us that This Cracker Barrel has brought back the familiar quality and service. Minerva and I stopped in for dinner as our last "date" of our weekend get away to Santa Fe. We were met and seated quickly. Seamus was our server and her was absolutely excellent. He was fast, friendly, lightly comedic and our drinks were never empty. Our food came out fast, hot and fresh. The trout was devine. Trout is really hot or miss. Either it's really good or it's really not good. I'm this case, it was one of the better I've ever had. I highly recommend it. My girlfriend had fried chicken and it was also, incredible. Worst service I've had at a Cracker Barrel. I sat down and waited 20 minutes, but no one got us drinks or acknowledged we were there. The server attended to every table around and looked at us several times, but still wouldn't stop by our table. The manager saw us without drinks and was too busy talking with another customer. My wife got so irritated that we decided to leave. We decided to go to another restaurant where we got seated, acknowledged, and served immediately. So the wait time for a table was right at an hour (I used the time we checked in with the hostess to the time we sat down), which I guess is about right for a Sunday lunch post-church crowd. But once we were seated, our food came out within 15 minutes! Hubby ordered the Cracker Barrel Sampler which was HUGE! He was expecting just a taste of meatloaf, ham, dumplings, Mac and cheese, okra and mashed potatoes with brown gravy, but it was full sized portions of each! Not complaining, they definitely give you your money's worth. I ordered the fried chicken tenders which comes with two or three sides, I got green beans and mashed potatoes with no gravy. The green beans were so good, tasted like they're cooked with ham. My little got max and cheese, I sampled it and yes, it's super tasty. Not made from a box for sure, we're talking homemade. When I'm traveling I like to stop for meals at restaurants that I like and are consistent. Locations normally close to major highways across the country. You always know that your food will be like your last visit at your local Cracker Barrel. The servers are always cordial and attentive I never have issues . If I do I just ask for my servers help. Great breakfast, lunch and dinner. House specials daily with 2 sides and choice of breads. House made corn bread and biscuits. Yummy! Comfort food that reminds you of easier times and memories of sitting at the dinner table with your family. Lots of memorabilia from past times adorn the walls. First time to a Cracker Barrel and have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast selection was good and decided to go with their cheesy hash brown with scrambled eggs, bacon, and scallions. As with most Cracker Barrel's, the layout and food menus are the same, however, the customer service here was just great. Our server did a wonderful job and went above and beyond to accommodate our time, meals and just offered friendly customer service! I recommend the chicken pot pie! It's warm, flaky, flavorful and filling! The fried chicken and waffles, and blueberry pancakes are delicious too but just about any of the food you order here is a good option for non healthy, hearty meals ;). Every time I go to a Cracker Barrel, I enjoy the experience. I got the broccoli cheddar chicken (Wednesday's only). This was really interesting it is had a sort of crunchiness to it with melted cheese on top. I would get this again. However, with such a vast menu, I do believe that there are options for everyone. I also got the Pralin Pecan Bread Pudding. This was incredibly good. It satisfied my sweet tooth for sure. Finally the service was excellent. My server efficient and very friendly. What happened to their service and food? It's seemed to have gone downhill fast. Pros: We were seated immediately. And my fried chicken was really good, with a nice crunch to it. My husband' corn was cooked well with all the butter, but how can you screw up corn? And that's where it ends. Cons: My husband's meatloaf was dry and even after putting a lot of ketchup in it, it was edible for him. He got another item, the steak hamburger which was better, but not cooked to a medium. More like medium rare. And there was a okra or green bean cooked in with his apples. How does that happen? Like he cut an apple slice in half and the green vegetable was cooked in. The manager just stood by near the kitchen watching his staff, and unfortunately that equalled to our server having an attitude. I was told she'll get me a refill, but 10 min later and I had to ask someone else. Well our server yelled across the restaurant that it was up on the fridge. Something to that extent. No apologies from our server with my husband's first food, the meatloaf. The Mac and Cheese had uncooked noodles and it seemed there wasn't any quality check on the food. Recommended? No. If based on tonight's dinner, absolutely not. Poor service and food quality has gone downhill. TERRIBLE SERVICE: We ate here in the middle of July. We ordered our food around 8:25 pm, no attention from our server. She was missing and no one explained where our food was. I talked with the manager. The food came out around 9:00 PM. When I explained to the manager as we were leaving, how disappointing this evening was, she had the unmitigated gall to challenge my frustration, even though the times on the receipt and ticket from the kitchen proved my point. First time at a Cracker Barrel and I can already say it did not disappoint. We went here on a trip to Colorado to stop by for a quick meal but it was more than just a quick meal, I felt right at home with several things. First off, the hospitality and the people were top notch allowing us to feel right at home. The drinks were brought out quickly and the food was as well. I got the Sunday Chicken which was an incredible filling dish. The chicken was tender and the side Mac and cheese and fries were an excellent compliment. You can tell they make everything fresh. The Coca-Cola chocolate cake dessert was superb and moist which not a lot of chocolate cakes are, so it was a pleasant surprise. First of all our Wait was said to be 25 minutes. We waited about 35 minutes which was fine we wanted to. But when we finally were called we went in and sat down, we ordered right away, and I am actually still here waiting for my food. It has been almost an hour. The girl obviously is embarrassed about it. She's come back a few times. The place is so so busy that obviously their kitchen can't keep up with the orders which I have sympathy for however, the management shouldn't put them in that position they should have more cooks on. They should be able to handle the volume or honestly not be taking orders at all. Very frustrating. This ended up being an almost 2 1/2 hour experience so if you are traveling & your wanting a quick stop, don't choose this place unfortunately they are not consistent quality with a lot of the other Cracker Barrel restaurants. read more

My husband and I decided to try Cracker Barrel for dinner. I don't what the hype is about, my food was terrible, my husband said his was "ok." I ordered the Tips, Strips and Shrimp. The shrimp were very tiny, with a soggy coating, the sirloin tips were actually just bits that were burned, the two larger pieces that looked like meat were just chunks of fat. The chicken strips looked like they used strips to make fajitas, very thin and fried hard. I also ordered a mimosa, which was extremely small, I figured it cost about 75 cents per sip as it was $6.95! Oh, we had to show an ID also for an alcoholic drink even though it's obvious we are into our 70's. Our waitress pretty much ignored us, never refilling our water or tea, and the glasses were empty. We had the most delightful experience at this CB. We stayed there overnight with our motorhome. It was quiet and very safe. In the morning, we went in for breakfast. We were greeted by the manager. The restaurant was very clean. Even though the restaurant was very busy, we had great service and a great meal.
