Really nice that there's a buffet option for around $19.99. The food options here are solid.

It has been quite a while since I've visited Golden Corral, and it was pre-Covid. So I was skeptical about quality and definitely hesitant about paying the price. When we visited there was quite a few places to park and tables for our family of 13. Andrea was our server, she kept the table cleared but no refills were offered. I'm guessing because we bought the plastic to go cups and could just as easily refill them ourselves. Food quality seemed fresh! There were a lot of Thanksgiving dishes, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, squash casserole, ham, turkey, and of course the usuals. I wanted to try to fish, ham, squash casserole, and of course s yeast roll. I did take a bite of my dad's steak which had a good flavor, I'm pretty picky about steak too. The desserts looked plentiful, but I went with a bite of banana pudding, a red velvet cake bite and a bite of chocolate cake. I did NOT stuff myself to oblivion LOL. I don't have a reason to deduct any stars. The staff were friendly, the tables were cleaned immediately, plates and utensils were kept stocked as was the food selections. I wouldn't choose Golden Corral every weekend because the pricing is steep, but for our yearly post-church family get together it worked great! read more

12/23/23 I hosted my Aunt's birthday there last night and the staff were amazing!! The cashier and the wait staff were all phenomenal ...My Aunt was very happy with everything. The food was awesome! I came with an outside birthday that had gotten messed up and they were extremely helpful with providing me with gloves to try and make the cake look decent, thank you! thank you! That was above and beyond 10/25/23 I decided to give this place another try. I went last week and again today. They have definitely made improvements. The food was, in my opinion, excellent . The staff was friendly, the tables were cleaned promptly, the plate area was clean, the plates were not nasty and dirty, and AGAIN, the food was excellent. 2022 They need to be able to keep up with replacing empty food bins. Unfortunately, the food doesn't taste the same. It has no flavor at all anymore. If you're going to make customers pay your prices, then please do better. For the price you pay $20 per person. The buffet was definitely not worth it at all.. I would suggest you going somewhere other than here. The food tasted like it was refrigerated overnight and put out the next day. It was dry.. not to good at all. They also didn't have as many options like they did along time ago. I highly suggest going anywhere but this place. It was my first time going here I haven't been here in atleast 10 years before this time.. I'm very disappointed.. It's definitely a waste of money !! All the cooks and servers do a really good job here at making sure everything is hot and fresh. This location serves solid food.

It was lunch time and the place was full and had a long line to pay. After paying we try to find a table but they were all occupied or dirty. I asked the cashier to find someone to clean a table for us. I asked the cashier why they are keeping charging people when they were not tables available. She don't answered my question but called a waitress to clean the table and told her what I just said. The waitress LeAndra got really mad, really quick. Apparently she didn't like that I complained about having to much dirty tables in her area. She cleaned the table with a attitude, she dropped the utensils with a attitude. The table next to me was dirty, since Le Andra only cleansed (after my complain) two tables of two chairs, one for me and my friend and another for a older couple that was behind me in the line. A minutes later a told her that I need a bigger table because more people were coming. She walk away and 20 minutes later, the table next to me continue to be dirty. I thought, she was on lunch time or something because that was a really long time. Instead another waitress, Esperanza, saw me looking to her side and came and asked me if I need something. I told her I needed a bigger table. She offered to clean the table next to me. As soon as Esperanza started to clean the table, LeAndra showed up. She then start to point at me, like she was saying something about me to the other waitress. We did not took that table and instead waited for a empty table in Esperanza side. I was done with LeAndra attitude. After that we were there for over a hour. Esperanza did her job like is supposed to be done. I saw LeAndra few times hiding next to the soda machine, looking at my new table and talking to other employees. At some point I thought she was taking a picture of me from far away, when she was hiding behind a wall with something in her hand. Also, when I went to get some Mexican food, there was LeAndra, in the kitchen area talking to one of the employee that prepared food, while her area was full of dirty tables. I was looking for a manager to talk to but don't saw any until the end. The manager was getting some food from the buffet when LeAndra stand next to her and talk the whole time the manager was out. I will think she probably did that for one of two reasons, she was complaining to her manager of the bad customer she just have, (apparently that is what she did with the others waitresses), or she didn't want me to start a conversation with the manager. I just wrote this long review since the attitude of a employee can change the way we perceive a restaurant. I'm not a frequently customer of this restaurant. I don't live in Pueblo. But my experience in this restaurant was one of the worst I had in very long time. Sad but true. read more

Was anyone else there that night or around that time, last Sunday night, did anyone else have any of these symptoms or came down with food poisoning? I came here after a date to the movies to eat somewhere nostalgic, a place I ate at growing up all the time but never again. I visited Sunday night and within 30 minutes I starting having abdominal pain, me thinking I was just stuffed. Nope, I barely slept that night, waking up in stabbing pain from explosive cramps in my lower abdomen. The following morning, Monday morning, I was trying to wash it out in the toilet for at least an hour and I literally fell over and almost blacked out with symptoms of overheating, chills, nausea, and severe diarrhea. I thought that was the worst of it but no, here I am Tuesday night, fighting off what I've confirmed is 100% food poisoning, and constant explosive and stabbing cramps, severe constipation and I haven't been able to shit since that Monday morning. It is so, so painful, I thought it'd be done with 48 hours but no, I'm gonna have to go to the clinic tomorrow. I just want this to end, it's so uncomfortable, I can't sleep, I've missed work, and to mention again, this is very painful!! Most of the food I ate I was taking small portions, most of it was awful tasting. To note, the following is what I ate: Meatloaf, stewed carrots, mashed potatoes with gravy, 2 rolls, green beans, corn, the bourbon street chicken (only a couple of bites), tried the marshmallow yams, Mac-n-cheese, a chunk of meat from the pot roast dish, one thing of fried white fish, fried okra, some mushrooms, red jello, chocolate pudding, vanilla ice cream with fudge (I hardly touched dessert, I sampled it really). Again, the service was there and good. I had no problems whatsoever with anyone, the food was just terrible and my body is not putting up with it at all. :( read more

However, when I stopped by yesterday on Nov 6th Sunday around 2 pm, I got a to go box and the cashier insisted to put it in a bag before weighing it and the cost was $17 for a few items in a box to go. I haven't been to Golden Corral in many years, but was taken there by a friend this afternoon. Tip - I brought a small bottle of hand sanitizer and used it after each trip to the buffet line. Hundreds of hands have held those serving utensils ahead of you, and sanitizing assured me that my hands were clean prior to eating items like fried chicken. Service - Angie was clearing our table as we finished with plates, and was delightful and attentive. Be sure to tip those folks, even though they're not serving you the food. Food quality - I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of most items. The salad area held fresh ingredients; the fried chicken was fresh and hot; the mashed potatoes were fine, but the brown gravy is plainly from a powdered preparation; the corn needed seasoning but was fine. All three of us in our group ate too much and left completely satisfied. Summary - I was pleased overall with the entire experience. No, I'm not going there again for a while - but not for lack of pretty good food and good service. If you're looking for decent food, and plenty of it, this isn't a bad place to go. read more

One thing has become painfully clear in the restaurant industry: buffets are falling out of favor. People prefer quality food rather than a massive quantity. I'm a fan of Golden Carol, but this one was above PAR! When I asked for a blue stake they offered me a choice of two rare stakes. I took both, they were over cooked for me, so my family are them and RAVED about how good they were. I then asked them to cook a "Blue" one for me, the assistant manager asked if I wanted it cooked two min on each side? I said "1:30 min each side." The manager brought me a Perfectly cooked BLUE stake. Everything else was excellent as well, however, they could do a better job with labeling food. So went back there because my kids love the desserts. They have now taken the napkin holders away and you get one fork to use over and over. I have a 2 year old that makes a mess so I have to steal napkins from other tables because I can't find my server. It's tiring to ask are inopt server for napkins. This is the second Golden Corral I have been to, and the food, again, has been pretty good. The cost for the buffet on a Saturday night was only $11.49 plus the cost of drink. Not bad. The steak they have...I could wax poetic for days about how it melted in my mouth, a great char, and a perfect medium rare. I really like a lot of the foods they offer, especially the veggies. The Mac and Cheese is really good. The pot roast is my favorite. There are only a few things that could improve. 1. The buffalo wings. I grabbed mild and they were not mild...they turned out to be uber hot. The garlic wings also tasted like they were tossed in the hot buffalo sauce. 2. Not too many fish selections. Catfish with the bone in and one that was not even labeled. Not a fan of bone in fish, especially when I took the time to avoid all the bones and I still ended up with several in my mouth. read more

Honestly I'm surprised I'm not walking out poisoned. This place is hands down the worst food I've ever had in my life. The bacon was most definitely expired meat, the gravy for biscuits tasted like milk, the syrup was hot sugar water, I feel worse for being here. I must have pulled 13 spoons out of the silverware bucket and all of them were dirty. The people that eat there make walmart customers look high class. My pops girl friend asked for a brownie they were prepping to bring out and the woman refused and told her not till 11 which was 45 min from then. My husband loves this place and they have a couple of hits with plenty of misses but if you like a large variety with lots of meats, this is the place to eat a lot of it for a fair price, just don't expect gourmet. Gets super crowded at times with long waits during weekends and holidays. read more

Had never been to this Golden Corral, relatively a newcomer to Pueblo area. Saw a sign that said Friday breakfast for $5.99 and thought it would be a good place to take the entire family for our 44th wedding anniversary celebration since we are on a fixed income. Called later in the day to make sure it was only this price for everyone, and was assured that it was. Told hubby about it, and he called in the evening to make sure it was within our budget. Told the same thing. Went for breakfast with the family the next morning and were told it was only for seniors! Not what we were told the night before. Asked specifically if it was for adults and children. Already had family there, so paid for all. Even the children were more then that. Then, went and reread the sign in the window about the senior breakfast, and it said that drinks were included. We ordered coffee and iced tea, and were charged. Said the sign does not specify what drinks are included, but only juice and milk! Sign is not correct, we were lied to on the phone twice. Food was so so, waitress was good, but would never go back after being blatantly lied to. Management could care less. Definitely does not want repeat business. We went way over our social security budget on this one, and it ruined our anniversary for us. read more
