My husband and I went here for a late lunch on Saturday. We both got medium rare steak and eggs. My husband asked for over easy eggs. I asked my for my eggs to be over easy, but placed on my husband's plate (due to allergies). We ordered sides of hashbrown casseroles and one order of fried apples. It took about 35-40 minutes for the food to come out, so we were starving. Our waitress was awesome and sweet. 15 mins after sitting there, they brought out someone else's food and the runner got an attitude with us that we were saying it wasn't ours. My husband got one over easy egg and one scrambled egg as well as both sides of the hashbrowns. His steak was fine. Mine - I received no hashbrowns and just the fried apples. The steak was a hard hockey puck. I thought I'd just eat it because I was starving. I choked and it got stuck in my throat. So I sent it back. The woman that brought our food out to us (not our server) was rude and seemed inconvenienced that she brought out the wrong food again. She said she wasn't dealing with this and walked away. Our waitress came back and I sent it back. Waited another 20 minutes and this time, the steak was seared on the outside, but completely gray and raw on the inside. The fat wasn't rendered and the meat smelled like raw meat just pulled out of the fridge. I was disgusted. The waitress took my meal off the bill and we left. This place is getting worse and worse and it's utterly disgusting. The waitress told us that she had a family that had to send their steak back 5 times the day before. Stopped at Cracker Barrel and it was exactly what you hope for when you go there -- good comfort food and a cozy atmosphere. The service was friendly and the food came out hot and fresh. The biscuits and gravy were a highlight, and the portions were generous. The country store is always fun to browse while waiting or on the way out -- lots of nostalgic items and snacks you don't see everywhere else. We were told that 6 top tables are limited. So color me surprised when i walk in and see 4 tables capable of seating 6 people all with 4 people sitting at the tables. ok, fine whatever, it's mother's day, it's busy let's just get through this. right? so we're in line and party of 5 gets called up next "oh sorry we're actually six" the guy says. as they are taken in to get a table. no problem. while we've waited an hour and 20 minutes. At this point i complain to the hostess that it's kinda messed up that a 6 top (who thought they were only 5) gets seated with no wait before us. so of course i speak up. the hostess says she can take us now and brings us to two separate tables. this lady without asking us if it was ok or anything and after waiting an hour and a half get brought to two tables not even next to each other. two mothers and 3 little girls. my kids could not sit with their mom or grandma. mine boggling to me that this is sound logic to split up a party without asking first. moronic. that was it, we walked out. I have had many good experiences at cracker barrel over the years, this is my second time to this location and it will be my last. I was in a tour group of about 35 folks and although this restaurant didn't take reservations, they were aware we were coming. The seated us in groups of 4 rather quickly amd the service was relatively fast considering they were busy even without us coming through. I've never really been a fan of Cracker Barrel, although some folks I know love this chain. I went with something quick and easy, the Southern Fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes amd Cole slaw. I the meal comes with 1 each breast, thigh, wing and drum stick. I prefer dark meat so I asked if they could sub dark meat for the white pieces but they aren't allowed to do that. The skin on the chicken was a bit hard for me and the chicken itself wasn't as juicy as I'd hoped it would be. Came here for dinner on a tuesday night. Even though it was super busy, the service was good. The cashier at the front was very friendly and nice when I had questions about using an old gift card. He was also very helpful when we needed to check the price of an item from the store. We ordered the roast beef and chicken fried steak, everything was delicious. Would come back again. I drive for uber deliveries and door dash. This is the worst place ever to receive an order from. Today had to wait 25 minutes for them to finish when the lady is the front named Reese told me just a few moments. Receive the order with drinks in which isn't doesn't show I should be getting drinks. They were in a single flimsy cup holder that was cracked. And then spilled in my car while putting it on the floor. I brought the drinks back in so they could refill the one soda that spilled and it took them 10 minutes to do that and figure out what the drink was. In the mean time they give me four napkins to clean out my car with. When the guy knew the cup holder was weak or broken. Then the GM says I am the one with the 'attitude' but she doesn't care. Took a hour to do this single delivery because of them and still have to spend time to clean out my car now. Also the other night I tried to order food online from them 68 minute wait ? What a mess this place is. We went on Sunday evening around 6pm, not busy whatsoever. Our waitress Amber seemed to be bothered by having any tables. We waited a few minutes to even be greeted, then several minutes for our drinks. Her attitude showed the entire dinner. She brought our drinks, took our order, brought the order & dropped our check off. She obviously didn't care to check in on us or look at the slop she brought to our table. The food was subpar at best. Chicken breast & steamed veggies. Mushy broccoli and mush carrots. Chicken had no seasoning & was luke warm. The hamburger steak (asked for medium) was a hockey puck. Mashed potatoes were cold & about a half size serving. It was like they were at the end of the pan & didn't want to make more. Again, absolutely mush for carrots. The male manager on duty avoided the situation & didn't give a hoot nor did the cashier who was the only one who asked how everything was when we checked out. Food looked delicious but tasted extremely bland. The chicken tenders covered in gravy looked appealing but the breading lacked and kind of flavor. It wasn't a busy morning, there was a ton of staff walking around for about 6 tables, and yet I only received one refill on my coffee. It was also given to me after receiving my check to leave. Ordered dinner this Friday for the fishfry. Big mistake, totally unsatisfactory from attempting to place the order to the subpar quality of the food and the way it was prepared. The only items that were not over cooked were yhe cold slaw and " fresh fruit cup"( six sliced strawberries.) In the past we saw Cracker Barrel as a better alternative to fast food. The poor quality of what we received today makes us w ursyiom that it was food. All of this at prices much higher on the last year even factoring in the overall inflation these prices have risen excessively. A great southern experience from a west-side visitor point-of-view. I came all the way from Los Angeles to visit a friend in the area and was brought to this restaurant to try traditional southern food for dinner. I got the meatloaf and my pick of three sides: brussel sprouts salad, fried okra, and coleslaw. The meatloaf was a bit dry but was tasty! The salad and the coleslaw was very good as well but I didn't like the fried okra- a bit too stale in texture. The complimentary corn bread and biscuits were so good with the coleslaw. I also got their sweet tea which I recommend getting. The server was so nice to keep offering free refills. read more

Please learn how to give basic respect and courtesy to people in wheelchairs. I am saddened and ashamed when I heard staff being unaccommodating and downright nasty to someone in a wheelchair today. Many people with mobility issues have difficulty getting out in the winter- so it is a real treat when they get to go out. To be dehumanized and humiliated in public on a day they have probably been looking forward to is shameful and sad. Its bad enough things arent accessible but to have an attitude to a family that was clearly struggling is just embarrassing. Do better. read more

Fan of Cracker Barrell but the one in Watertown was a huge let down. The service was real bad. Our attender could have been more hospitable with just a smile. Ok. So I was excited to get to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Got there closer to lunch and was told 25 minute wait. No problem, used the facilities and remained patient. After what I perceived to be 25 minutes, I double checked the wait time, where I was told would be another 30 minute wait time. I would rather have been treated truthfully earlier than to be deceived into waiting. I was on a cane and had a very sore leg.
