Food is always great. Tracy our server was exceptional. Great customer service, witty and polite. I would go back just to see her!!!

Food was good as is generally the case at CB's. Value, consistency and fairly prompt service is why we seek them out. However, this CB had the most disgusting ladies rest room that I have ever encountered. The odor was overwhelming, water was on the floor and papers from hand towels were strewn about. This place was packed!! And though it was busy and a rainy Saturday morning, the service was spectacular! We were seated quickly and our waitress, Chelsea, was wonderful!! I am currently in the Cracker Barrel in Wilson North Carolina-they tell me they do not serve rye bread anymore in this restaurant-I would like a list of all the Cracker Barrel's that do not serve Ryebread for breakfast so that I can avoid them at all cost-I llik'n i to a Dairy Queen we had stopped that and they only had vanilla ice cream no chocolate-prior to this stop- I planned on writing a review about how consistent Cracker Barrel was regarding food service friendliness and quality-although that is true I will never stop at Wilson North Carolina for breakfast-I would think that a lot of Northeast people would feel the same-Corporate decisions sometimes have a lasting negative affect-not serving Ryebread would seem trivial to a corporate executive that doesn't care for Ryebread-Ray Crampton read more

I have to say, I've always love this place and food has been amazing but today the service was also on point. Literally, as food was served, the manager walked by and asked how experience was; server came by multiple times; food came on time. I'm very disappointed and displeased with the service I received here today. I placed a curbside to go order online that they said would be ready for pickup at 1:15. The email confirmation was sent and told me to click "I'm here" once I arrived and my order would be brought out to me. I get there a little after 1:15 (just to give them time in case it is busy and they're a little behind schedule)and I log in to my email confirmation and click IM HERE 3 different times...I still don't have my order, and here it is about 1:40 now. So I call inside and go thru the prompts to speak to someone to let them know, hey I'm here for my curbside order. Meanwhile I'm waiting already preparing myself and my mind that I'm just going to have to warm my food up because I already know it's going to be cold! Finally, a waitress brings out my order and I notice she has a slight attitude. Okay I can empathize, I've been there. The store seems pretty busy today, and they have a hiring sign out front. So maybe they're short staffed, she's tired and over worked and trying to juggle a million things. Okay I get it I can empathize. Next thing I notice is she has a drink tray with a kids orange juice which was ordered and a 8oz cup of coke. I ordered and paid for a large 32oz coke. Again, okay, I'll let this slide too. Maybe I don't need a full large cup of soda, whatever I'll let it slide smh. Next I check my order once she hands it to me and walks back inside. Both orders are there. Eggs look dry as I don't know what, but that was expected because again I had been waiting and knew my food was going to be cold smh, but I had already prepared myself to just warm it up once home. Then my dessert the chocolate fudge cola cake that comes WITH ICE CREAM...again something else I PAID for that's not in my bag. So the cake is there. But there's no ice cream in my bag. Again, something I decide to let slide. Hey I can just do without the ice cream today I guess smh. Then I proceed to drive off and remember I ordered and PAID for a pecan roll. All of which is also not in my bag! Enough is enough. I turn around go back to the store and just walk inside this time to kindly let the cashier know I'm missing the roll from my order. He's like "do you have your receipt so I can make sure you paid for it?" Really dude, like I'm really going to waste more of my time and energy to turn my truck around and come back in this store and ask for something I didn't pay for, really!!! Now y'all wanna check receipts!! Like you should have checked the receipt from jump to make sure EVERYTHING I ORDERED AND ALREADY PAID FOR WAS IN MY BAG!!! But I'll let him have it...he's just doing his job, so I'll continue to be cordial. But let me get back on subject, I just had to say that. So anyway. I had the receipt and the email confirmation so no worries I showed him the receipt he confirmed it and just let me grab the pecan roll off the shelf and get out of there. Now that I'm home and looking at this cold food that I can't even eat because I'm just over it by now, I wish I would have just got a complete refund and canceled the entire experience there today smh. If I pay for and TIP for curbside service then that's what I expect. If I pay for my food then I expect my order to be made perfectly and bagged correctly with nothing missing! So not only was the service poor but they jilted me out of money (small drink when paid for large, no ice cream with dessert), and energy just wasted my time here today now I'm so disappointed I don't even want the food. Cracker Barrel is a nice country old -style restaurant. I like when they light the huge fireplace. If it's lit make sure you don't sit anywhere near it, that thing is Flamin'!!! They're under new management so the place is a little better. One thing negative I have to say is the waitresses tend to talk to much and drop things too much. Good food. Good service. Typical Cracker Barrel efficiency as we love breakfast for lunch. Location next door to Holiday Inn Express made for a 2 minute walk to dinner where spouse ordered her fave "biscuits n gravy" and I got a chicken dinner. Quite tasty. We come here quite often because they have a low carb menu and the quality of the food is consistently high. I have never had to send anything back because it wasn't right. The menu is nothing far out, just good home style fare with sensible portions for the most part. The breakfast menu can get a little heavy if you try and eat all the biscuits and gravy that comes with everything, so some control by the diner is required. While I'm talking about breakfast, the only item on the menu I'm not wild about is the sawmill gravy. It has a very smokey flavor. I would prefer a good homemade sausage gravy. Everything on the low carb menu is great and I would suggest these items to anyone who is looking for healthy, sensibly sized portions. On the regular menu, I think my favorite is the meat loaf, just like mother used to make. The lobby is a gift shop with lots of cool, reasonably priced items, including a wide variety of nostalgia items dating back to the 50's, including Blackjack and Teaberry gum. By all means, keep the wife moving swiftly through this area, or you will leave with more than you had when you came in. Definitely a good place to stop for a meal when on a trip! read more

Hostess was a bit distant, just going through the movements. Server, Patricia, was very pleasant and attentive. I usually order country fried steak or chicken and dumplings at Cracker Barrel but opted for the daily lunch special, chicken pot pie. It was not especially satisfying. Large chunks of mushy potatoes and a lot of big pieces of carrot. Very doughy overall. Not a lot of chicken but what was there was good. Biscuits very good. read more

Slow, slow, slow and couldn't get the order right. Need to pay closer attention to cleanliness issues too. Don't just own a broom, how about you use it. Nothing worse than to see trash and food droppings all over the floor. This franchise needs some attention from the corporate folks as it seems to be a poor performer. read more
