I ordered the sampler (meatloaf and chicken dumplings and sides) the meatloaf was cold but that was ok with me bc I like it better the next day. The rest of my food was great! My daughter got chicken tenders and fries and they were good, my ex got pot roast and that was amazing! If I could create a new sampler with some pot roast, meatloaf and chicken and dumplings I'd be sold! I don't even like meatloaf but love Cracker Barrels meatloaf. We ordered (2) Mama's Pancake breakfasts for takeout today. We typically enjoy the pancakes and since our order has 3 pancakes each, they only gave us one syrup even after requesting an extra one. The scramble eggs turned out right, but the smoked sausage patties were barely cooked and raw in the middle! That's not acceptable! Since this was takeout, we recooked the patties at home because undercooked pork can make you sick. Positive note... I did find a nice little summer dress in the country store and was able to use our reward points towards the purchase. read more

The Cracker Barrel was convenient to where I was staying in Wilson so I stopped for dinner. My waiter David was fantastic and I have no complaints with the service. The host was friendly as well. If I had ordered something different the meal may have been better. I did enjoy the sides. The fries were nice steak fries and the apples were good too. The steak tips were a cut up steak so not what I was expecting as steak tips are normally tender and prepared differently. I would have been ok with the cut up steak but after two bites it was just too chewy for me. The whole meal was $9.99 so it was a good deal for the entree and two sides. I had a taste for some crispy pancakes today so 20 minutes ago I stopped at the Smithfield location. I was disrespected and treated EXTREMELY poorly at that location and left. While still north bound on 95 I saw this location and decided to give the franchise another try. Walking in the diversity of the staff stood out. I was seat at a much better table and my waitress wasted no time bringing me a drink k and taking my order. She had no idea how I was treated at the same franchise right down the road. She was genuinely kind and had hospitality. Thank you so much for hanging my perception of the business and treated a customer how they deserve to be treated. Much better location with amazing staff. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, they seemed to struggle to seat our party of 9 (despite us offering to split up across two tables). When we finally sat, our waitress was fine. She seemed a little less than patient despite us having just sat down, and even when we were ordering. When my food came out I was not thrilled. They forgot parts of my order, and honestly compared to other Cracker Barrel's the food was just okay. We visited this Cracker Barrel on Mother's Day and we expected a wait, but the wait was fine - they called our party of 6 in approximately 30 minutes- which was great. We were seated and we placed our drink order, once the server returned we placed our orders and we waited. It took a while for the food, but we didn't complain. The server said your food is ready I'll get someone to help me bring it out, we waited another 15 minutes and saw her assist another table in bringing food. When they finally brought our food out, the orders were wrong!! Pancakes looked a mess an eggs were overcooked and I sent them both back. One person in our party only ordered egg and hashbrown casserole- our server continued to say they are working on the correction and her food... Everyone ate what they could of their breakfast... and we continued waiting and finally we just said don't worry about the order or correction, but they finally brought it out with the checks. We had to ask for refills and some still didn't get coffee refills. The ham and bacon were extremely salty on today. And although a lot of ham was left on all of the plates (came with the meal) she didn't bother to even ask was anything wrong with the ham. Sadly we didn't get to eat and enjoy with our family as planned on Mother's Day due to Cracker Barrel! We also ordered 2 extra take home meals and the server came back and said they don't have that either. Previously she told me they were prepackaged meals, but when she told me they don't have it.. she said they hadn't fixed them yet. I'm not sure what the true reason is, but I didn't get the take home meals ordered either. I would not recommend that anyone come to Cracker Barrel. Went here on Saturday March 8th 2025 with my parents and uncle for a much needed breakfast while traveling for our trip to South Carolina. This was our first trip to this location. As My parents and I have been to other Cracker Barrell locations, mainly for breakfast. Anyways, we walked in, was greeted by a smiling host, who sat us at a table. Our server also greeted us efficiently, and quickly. We all started with 4 coffees and 4 waters. Waitress did do a good job refilling our coffee and made sure they were filled. After a few minutes we decided what we wanted: i got the short stack of chocolate chip pancakes with a side of impossible sauasage (and the chocolate chip pancakes are new to the menu!) someone else had the blueberry pancakes with bacon, and we had 2 grandma's breakfasts, one with regular hash browns, and one with casserole. Food came out in a timely manner. The only reason this has 4 stars is because the server-- gave us eggs with the chocolate chip pancakes, and i did not think it came with the eggs, nor was it explained to me. . Now no big deal because my dad ate them, but still. Anyways, the chocolate chip pancakes exceeded my expectations, and i enjoyed them as well as the sausage! Everyone else also enjoyed their food. We then was given the bill and gave a cash tip to the waitress. My dad paid up front while my mom and I used the restrooms, which were clean. Interesting. That's what I have to say. We needed a place to go for dinner on the way home on our road trip to Fl. It wouldn't have been my first choice but when you're on the road...first order of business, I tried to sign up for rewards both in the app and just by scanning the QR code. It took forever to get a code sent to this email. I even had the waitress get the manager to help me. Eventually, it worked. But you can't use the reward right away - you have to go back a 2nd time within 30 days to use it (so that probably will discount me!). I ended up only with a side salad since most of the foods were fried and I didn't want that. My husband got a steak and fried shrimp and my son got chicken tenders. The one thing I did like was the the country store - you did feel like you were in a country store! MY son bought a bunch of candy to bring for the ride home - the prices were reasonable which was a nice surprise. Our waiervwas very kind and helpful. But I have noticed that the baked potatoes seem warmed over. As rho they have been set aside, and warmed up for the next ordering customer. Should it not be a fresh cooked potatoe? Since you are paying full price for a fresh one. Not one reheated. Persons usually know a good potatoe and one sitting around refrigerated. I don't usually leave reviews but I must say my husband and I went to Cracker Barrel for my birthday and Roz, our server was wonderful. I enjoy the old timey vibe here as I'm not a fan of the newer remodeled restaurants. I really enjoyed the campfire chicken and my husband had the meatloaf per usual. Overall, an amazing experience. Let me just say that my waitress Ashley was a complete rockstar & by far the best waitress I've had @ a CB in probably a year. Since it was Thursday I went with the Turkey & Dressing special. My order was put within 10 minutes and smokin hot. Now the dressing was horribly dry but the Turkey was on point and that sweet potato was a nice touch as well. Ate here last year on New Year's Eve. They had no lettuce...problem is easily solved...send an employee to the produce section of a grocery store. This New Year's Eve (2024)...no soup. Surely they must have someone in the kitchen who can make soup. I ordered an early dinner...fried chicken. Got a piece of chicken I couldn't cut into...probably sitting around for awhile. If you eat here and thing it's good...something is wrong with your palate. To start we had lunch...breakfast I'm sure is WAY better. It's almost not edible, in fact we left most of it. The chicken tenders (the simplest thing to not screw up) we're soggy not crisp not even a little and cold. My husband had maple grilled chicken with Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was room temperature and had no taste. I'm giving one star for the Watermelon lemonade. The server was also a 5...very sweet southern boy. My wife and I road trip fairly often and I have always wondered about Cracker Barrel's popularity "mystique". The restaurant on Wilson, NC is located close to where we stayed overnight when traveling to Florida this year. For convenience sake, and because we wanted a sit down meal at the end of our 10 hour drive, we decided to eat here. BIG MISTAKE!!! The service was chaotic, the menus for both my wife and I were partially torn and falling apart. The order was delivered out of sequence and the food was barely warm. I might add that the food was also either overcooked or barely cooked at all. Avoid at all costs the side of Mac and Cheese as, if you like this item, chances are you will only have one forkful before you gag. We got to the restaurant at around 7 or so and it was fairly crowded but most tables were clearing out by the time we sat down. If you said yes to the above then wait about eight seconds because the next Cracker Barrel is only moments away. We were on the way back to PA from FL and needed a place for a late dinner. This CB was right off 95 and open and we were starving so the low threshold for stopping here was achieved. The restaurant was maybe a third full and with how everything here is rendered chow hall style the food hit the table in beyond record time. We always order the same things so it does provide a basis point as to the quality but in a way that's an oxymoron since CB is 100% supposed to be all about bland uniformity not Michelin Star worthy creativity. Country Fried Steak - Roast Beef - Apple Cider BBQ Chicken - Cheeseburger All things were rendered as advertised with the slight exceptions of the roast beef which was fattier than usual and our server who asked if we wanted biscuits and muffins only to bring us just the muffins. No Bueno in my book since the muffins have the consistency of flavored dry sand. Thanks Flo but I made sure to flag her down for the biscuits. Door to door it was around forty minutes which for a sit down dinner is like getting serviced by a NASCAR pit crew. I love eating at this place! I always stop thru when I'm in Wilson visiting family. You can always tell that the food is good simply because it's always packed. Not only are the staff very friendly, so are the patrons. The prices are affordable and the food is great. If I had to pick one thing here, it would definitely be the pancakes. The combination of the warm and buttery pancakes along with the warm syrup is a masterpiece! Its convenient to the highway and there's enough parking even when its packed. I will continue to eat here because it's a great experience. I cant comment on anything else but the breakfast food, so hopefully one day I will try other things on the menu and give my opinion on it. Waited 40 min for food no napkins wrong order when arrived was not even busy. Last time

I went on a Monday morning and my experience was okay. I ordered their new egg sandwich and added bacon to it. However, when it came, the waiter told me she did not put cheese on it bc that would cost extra. I explained that the cheese was part of the sandwich but she kept saying it was extra. I just dealt with it bc the bacon was the item that was extra. I just wish the waiter better understood the menu. I don't think I would go back bc I was not wowed. read more

This store provides a whole experience. They have a little general store with all sorts of items in it. From jackets to candles and books it is really an eclectic mix of things to buy. As for the food, it was pretty good with the highlights being the buttermilk biscuits and chicken fried chicken. For the side dishes they were a little bland and lacked some seasoning. I was fairly happy with my whole experience here with the exception of not knowing when my takeout was ready to be picked up. I gave them my phone number but was never alerted when my food was ready. Overall I am quite satisfied but there are a few improvements to be made! read more

Cracker Barrel is my "go to" for breakfast whenever I'm traveling and "Momma's Pancake Breakfast" is my "go to" breakfast. It never fails to fill me up perfectly for an all-day drive and I'm always in & out fairly quickly. I've stopped at CB0309, Wilson, NC for breakfast numerous times and I've never been disappointed at all ..... until today, 1/10/23. My "over medium" eggs were nearly stone cold and not even close to "over medium". Both the whites and the yolks were very runny. The bacon wasn't the least bit crispy, as I ordered it. I had to ask my waitress for the sourdough toast that I ordered and even that was stone cold when she returned with it. Another small annoyance that I wouldn't normally even mention was that I had to request napkins. Matter of fact, I overlook a lot whenever I dine out anywhere. I just never complain, but this got to me today. I've become so accustomed to a good experience at Cracker Barrels, wherever, that this really surprised me and stuck with me. Our waitress did a great job and did as I requested in giving me a separate check at my table. My "showboating" relative knew I had a separate check and asked for it from me as he was going to the register as I finished my meal. I refused saying I had it and did not give it to him. At the register he somehow got the cashier to pull up my receipt to pay it. When I went up to check he casually said "Your bill is taken care of". I did not believe him since I had a separate check but when I got to the register the cashier said it was paid. I told her I did not appreciate her going behind my back taking his payment without knowing the circumstances. I told her I was going to make a complaint and this is it. I do not believe someone should be able to have access to another person's bill without their permission. I know a lot of people will say my relative was just being nice, but I have been dealing with his grandstanding for years. read more

After we asked our server how much longer for our food, he said not much longer and brought us a basket of biscuits.
