Arrived at 8:30 on a Sunday morning to meet my dad for breakfast. This is his normal Sunday Routine. The offerings were plentiful but lacked turkey sausage :( The breakfast meats catered mainly to pork eaters. I did stumbled across fried fish & fried chicken at 8:30! In the morning!! I dined on a Sunday around 11 am. My servers were attentive in keeping my beverage full and checking with me often. Food selection had good variety and the buffet area was kept clean. The restaurant needs to be refurbished. The booth I was seated in was well scratched and worn, and I noticed many surfaces that needed attention. The food here is very affordable, and you definitely get your money's worth. This time, the bourbon chicken was a bit saltier than I prefer, but it was still good. Me and my two kids and my mom went out there to eat. We had to pay $83.00 for what because the food was not great. You don't have to charge outrageous because the steak was all fat no meat on it. The dessert is box all you have to.do.put it through the oven. Wow the pecan pie and peach pie was in a.box that come from foodlion. We even had to ask for our own drinks so we can get refilled. The pizza want even homemade cook it came from a store brought. The rolls want even real. The ice cream maker was out of order. This was the saddest and sickest place I could pick for my birthday. My wife and I had the senior buffet. It was a little pricey! But I must say the food was delicious. Our waitress however might actually be a racist. In our area we were the only one of our color. The waitress never once visited our table after delivery of our drinks. However all the others dining in the same area received excellent service. They were asked several times if there was anything they needed and she keep their tables clean. We received none of this. This is the first time we have received this kind of treatment from Golden Corral. Hopefully the next time we choose to dine there we will be treated the way a customer should be! read more

Today me and my Sister went to Golden Corral in Rocky Mount, when we were walking out the restaurant a guy followed us out. My Sis got in her car and I was walking to mines and he was still following me close, I stopped and turned around and he stopped, I turned around and went back to my Sis car and he's still following me and I asked him why you keeps following me and he's gonna tell me he's sorry, but kept following me close, then gonna tell me that he's Security and he walks women out to make sure they gets to their cars. So I told him I don't need you following me. So knowing me, yes I called Golden Coral and asked them do they have Security out there to Walk women to their cars and they said no. This GC was very much average. A lot of the meats are overcooked included the hamburgers and the fish. It is moderately clean. The wait staff is ok but seamed a little overwhelmed. Might try and see if they do a better job for dinner. read more

Stopped off here for lunch during the week. Comparable to other Golden Corral buffets. Maybe I was super hungry or just excited, but everything was delicious. I especially loved the fried chicken and sausage. 2 plates and some desserts definitely hit the spot. I left feeling great. Everything was clean and stocked. This is the cleanest store I've ever been too. The manager here is so amazing and make sure your food is cook to perfection. The best Rice Krispies treats ever. I always got at least 15 of them oh my goodness. I love the brunch menu. They have have great turkey and egg sandwiches. The blueberry muffins are ok. My mommy loves the steak and egg sandwiches and they have great iced coffee. Try the sauteed battered mushrooms!!! This is by far, the BEST Golden Corral in the area! Chocolate Fountain? and Cotton Candy machine? by far, the best! Get the hot fresh donuts with cinnamon sugar, they are awesome! Try the new Mongolian grill at this one! You will definitely leave happy! They have good fried chicken and get here earlier on Sundays because you know church people will be packed here. Went there for Veteran's day. I felt so honored and humbled by the courtesy of the staff. The food was great. Yes, it is buffet style, but with a great variety that the staff replaced/refreshed often. I want to thank Golden Corral for an excellent meal. 1 star. This is a terrible buffet. The food is dry & overcooked. The owners are discriminitory. The manager is rude. The young lady in the desert and bread bar is too busy talking on her cell phone to help customers. While we sat and watched she kept her cell phone tucked between her shoulder and ear while she made cotton candy, constantly adjusting her nasty cell phone with her gloved hand and then touching the cotton candy to pull and bag it. The food is ridiculously priced at 13.99 a plate and another 2.89 for tea. Don't waste your time. You can get better service and much better food for a much better price elsewhere. The only reason I gave it a single star was for the sweet guy Mr. RICHARD who was our awesome waiter. That man was very polite, accomodating and never stopped hustling all night. Have been here a few times on the weekends, they have a wide variety of different food available. If you happen to love some prime rib this place has some of the best I have ever had. We came in the past Saturday and because of the quality service by our waiter Randy felt the need to really let future customers know about the gem that is Randy. He goes above and beyond to make sure your eating experience is like a expensive restaurant. I have never been serviced like this at more expensive places. It's odd for a buffet to have waiters who don't do the bare minimum. Randy kept our glasses full and tables clean and his warm personality really welcomes you in. The food also is really good our favorite has to be the buttered ham sandwiches they are extremely delicious, all the other food is also tasty their cooks can really lay on that flavor.
