I had high hopes for this place but have to agree with the other negative reviews. I thought the food was great (short rib mac and cheese, fried chicken sandwich, pork buns) but the service and atmosphere missed the mark for me. Cons: - Noise level: very loud, hard to carry on a conversation. We also seemed to be seated in an area exclusively sectioned off for families with young children, which added to the noise. - Service: took over 20 minutes to get our first drinks, apps and entrees also took a very long time to be delivered. - Popcorn starter was a good idea, but I found myself questioning how often the metal container it came in gets cleaned out - I'd recommend putting a liner on the inside! Overall, I feel there are other restaurants in the area that do the "craft/farmhouse" style better and with better service and probably won't be back. read more

Went here for date night and had a good time. We did a sharing menu: Grilled Caesar Salad - large romain, grilled added a nice flavor, then drawing and croutons. A nice twist on the traditional Ramen small dish - so good. Can't stop thinking about it. First while it is called a small dish, it is more than ample for dinner. Has yummy BBQ pork, noodles, veggies and this unbelievable broth. Traditional burger - so juicy and delish. Homemade Ketchup, yummy dill pickle, slaw like crispy fries. I guess you don't get popcorn if you sit at the bar? I enjoyed Craft 14 - my mussels were fresh and the sauce was flavorful. Good beer selection. My only complaint is that it felt like every other Restoration Hardware restaurant from the decor to the predictable menu. Again, I would go back but it's not a destination restaurant. read more

Recently dined at Craft14 and I have to say I was impressed. To start- DELICIOUS cocktails/ impressive beer list. Now on to the service- excellent and attentive. This restaurant is great - it's small and friendly with delicious food. There is a bar area with a nice "Happy Hour" - you can eat at the bar or a table. They also have an outside patio. I've never had a bad meal here. Definitely - recommend! read more

The bartender is amazing! The décor is charming love all the wood. The ricotta croquettes are light as air. The chicken sliders are yummy especially with a side of truffle fries. I've only ever ordered delivery from Craft 14 through Uber Eats. They have the best chicken fingers I've ever had -- and I've tried quite a lot!! They are incredible. Seriously. Love them. And it's technically a kids meal (through Uber Eats), so you get like 4 or 5 (I forgot) good sized pieces of chicken, and a ton of fries, and all for $9.00! Their kids meal burger sliders are also amazing! And so unbelievably cute it's ridiculous! Whenever I've ordered the burger sliders I always get cheddar cheese instead of American Cheese and have them add Bacon. And they come on the cutest little brioche buns! You do get a lot of fries, but the sliders, as cute as they are, are really kinda small, and you only get two of them. I know it's a kids meal, but I still think it would be better if it came with 3 sliders, but that's just me. I did have some issues with the chocolate banana bread pudding, and the "ice cream" that came with it though. I'd ordered through Uber Eats, which ultimately took over two hours from placing the order to getting my food to me, from a place that's 10-15 minuets away. The driver got sooo lost-- which I know has nothing to do with the restaurant, but I can't say if the results would have been any different with they way it was packaged anyway. So it was cold and soggy when it arrived, it smelled kind of funky and tasted the same - I was really disappointed. Not to mention, I left this as a note, "Please package the ice cream separate. Oh and extra whipped cream please -- I guess in the container with the ice cream would be best." What did I get?? I got one big plastic container with a slice of the bread pudding (it looked like a weird gross brownie) and then in that container were two small like sauce containers (like seriously the smallest that they make) with what looked like totally melted whipped cream, and the smallest amount of ice cream I have EVER seen!!! There was one tinyyyyy scoop, significantly smaller than a ping pong ball!!. And that too was pretty much melted. I specifically put in the note section that I wanted them to be packaged separately...you know because putting a hot dessert next to a cold scoop of ice cream usually doesn't end well for at least one if not both items -- and it didn't end well for either item this time. So I was reallyyy upset to pay $9 for dessert, then get seriously, literally the smallest scoop of ice cream I've ever seen, and a funky tasting, cold, soggy, chocolate banana bread pudding. I also had ordered the Death by Chocolate Milkshake. I figured that after how much time had passed it would definitely be somewhat melted. But this didn't tasted like a melted milkshake, it tasted like straight up chocolate milk. And with all of the items they say are supposed to be in it, it still only tasted like chocolate milk. Another $9 down the drain. All that being said, when they do get it right, they get it very veryyy right. And I'm willing to bet that the experience is probably much better for those who eat at the restaurant. read more

We lasted 5 minutes. Walked in on a Sunday (last night) and it was pretty empty and nobody was acting as a host so we went to the bar. Bartender dropped 2 menus and said "this is food, this is drinks" and walked away. Came back and said "what do you want?" With a "your presence here is annoying me" look on his face. I asked what beers are on tap (taps have chalk board handles and all were wiped off) and he answered "an ale, a lager, a cream ale and a cider" and stared at me. I said "can I get just a little more detail?" Maybe the brewery... or is that asking too much. He quickly mumbled through some details but the music was too loud and MMA was blaring in our face on the TV so we said "actually, thanks but we're not staying" and he could have cared less. We were 9 and didn't have reservations at 7:00 but after being told it was a 35 minute wait we sat in 15. Popcorn never came and we finally received it after asking twice and we had starving teenagers. The food took a very long time to arrive but food was very good. Burger, salmon burger and crab cake BLT. The best was the ricotta croquettes! Delicious. The server was terrible. She should have been checking the one water bottle for 9 people as we asked many times for more water. We would go back with hopes of better service. I came here for my brother in laws birthday. Service kinda bad. Food was OKAY. I had fish tacos- didn't come with ANY side, kinda small. Def could have used fries. Drinks are pretty expensive. I love this place! It has items my whole family enjoys. My kids love the burgers, my husband loves the west potato fries, and my favorite dish is the salmon with quinoa, spinach in a cranberry compote. Unbelievable! Horrendous. Everything about this place sucks. Waited an exorbitant amount of time to get our food, don't expect honesty from anyone at this dump. Rather than fixing their wrong by comping a meal they brought us a tray of desert. Seriously? We waited almost an hour before anyone came to our table to "try" and explain where our food was. We went here for lunch on a Saturday. We were the first ones in there, so unlike everyone else's complaints about service, our service was pretty good. The food is fine bar food, there are good beers on tap. There is a lunch special where you order an app and a meal for $17.00. Not a bad deal. I liked the popcorn. The reason this gets four stars is because the place smelled like cleaning solution and I felt a little dirty. However, I did go to the ladies room and it was extremely clean. read more

Stopped for lunch. Interesting menu, good luncheon specials (the peach gazpacho was delightful) but of widely varying value. Salmon on a plank was a delightful lunch as was the burger, but the fish tacos, while tasty were a huge disappointment. Two very small appetizer size tacos didn't come close to satisfying the person who ordered who generally eats small portions. Food here is pretty good. For the price, the portions are not huge. I think it would also be nice to have a few more options on the menu in terms of burgers. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because the service was awful. Every order at my table (5 people) was messed up (wrong sides, missing sauce etc) and my burger which I had requested medium, came rare. Once all the mix ups were solved food was pretty good. Atmosphere is good, they take reservations on OpenTable which is always a plus for me and parking is easy. Overall I would return but just for a casual dinner out, not anything special. read more

Went last night, weather was nice and we (my new manager and I) were able to get a table outside. There was no rush from the staff and we had plenty of time to select our dinners. We went with the grilled octopus as a shared appetizer, which was just amazing. Cooked nicely and not tough or chewy as octopus normally can get. We both have fish for main courses, my manger had the branzino and I had the special which was a sea bass. My sea bass was cooked in a tin foil package with juices/sauce and roasted pottos, cooked to perfection and taste was just as amazing. At the end there was no rush to get us away from the table and we were able to sit and chat without being hassled. Overall great experience for a first visit. We came here tonight for my dads birthday, and walking in were instantly impressed by the inviting atmosphere and smell of wood fired grill. The servers were friendly and polite, and the owner was here and came over to greet us. The restaurant is clean and well decorated, a little loud with kids in it, but overall I'm very impressed. We had the ricotta appetizer- delicious- and between the three of us ordered the chicken and waffles, the 1/2 roast chicken, and the lobster roll. The lobster was fresh and well cooked, and both chicken dishes were juicy and flavorful. Both the drink menu and food menu has a wonderful wide selection. So happy this place is here. We will definitely be back- we couldn't stop talking about how impressed we were! Came here again tonight, and tried the grits, hanger steak, and passion pisco. All I can say is- DELICIOUS. I haven't had grits this good since I visited the south years ago, and the steak was cooked to perfection. Definitely give this place a try! Came here with coworkers for lunch as we were working in a building nearby. Lovely ambiance, delicious food, and good service. It's a little pricey for what you get that's to be expected in Wilton. Plus this is technically a tapas place so you have to come in with the mindset that portion sizes will be on the smaller side. For $17 you get an app and a lunch entree for their special. I opted for the croquette balls and the kimchi burger. Croquette balls came as three and was probably my favorite. The korean fried chicken burger was decent but as mentioned above, it was on the smaller side and the chicken didn't have as much of a soy garlic burger flavor profile/crunch I normally get from NY or Boston. We also stopped by here twice after work for happy hour and it was lively! Good prices ($6 for House wines, etc.) No one had any complaints and I appreciate the little things they do such as bringing out small tins of popcorn for the table to snack on. The Craft 14 burger is worth every penny. Ricotta croquettes, chicken wings, lobster salad and churros with a nice chocolate sauce on the side were also satisfying. The only annoying part of the evening was the noise level. The sound system needs some tweaking, too. read more
