Hidden gem. First time here. Had the salmon bowl and the short ribs sandwich with fries and spicy sauce on the side. Both were prepared just right. I bookmarked this place several weeks ago and decided to stop in for lunch today. The restaurant is a bit dark inside, very rustic-lots of wood all over the place. The bar was super cool, a big thick wooden slab with wood and pipes displaying all their bottles (love that look). We sat at the bar area at high top tables watching the basketball game as I had my lunch. For lunch I had the cubano and my hojas the salmon burger. My cubano was served on ciabatta bread and was delicious. My only complaint would be to ha e the option to have spicier mustard but not a big deal because it was good. The salmon burger was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. Both Sandwiches came with bow tie fries which were good. Overalls really liked this restaurant and will definitely going back to try other options on the menu. read more

Craft 14 is the perfect spot to meet friends on a rainy afternoon, grab a drink with co-workers or cozy up with family after a long day of sports/work/hustle. Wish it was brighter inside during the day, but the covered outside seating (the awning blocks the light coming in) is a nice option in the warmer months. Menu stand-out is the mussels - creamy and smoky. Also highly recommend the Teriyaki Tuna Bowl, Shaved Brussels & Cauliflower (add salmon - yum) and Steamed Buns. But my go-to is the perfectly simple Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese combo. Pair that with a Walk the Plank (trust me, try it!) and you're golden. read more

Ordered take out, $72 later. Asked for the steak in the steak bowl to be well done (I'm pregnant so can't have raw meat) and when I got home the steak was rare (photo attached). Even the ticket says "well done". Called immediately, the man who picked up asked me what I wanted to do about it...I asked for reimbursement as I wasn't driving by back out to get it corrected and now have to sit over a stove to finish cooking it, he said the manager would call me back...still no call and we're 3 days later. Well above average "casual dining" establishment very well suited for a quick dinner with family. Shopping plaza location no question detracts from the otherwise fairly "trendy" atmosphere. Salads, burgers, lobster rolls and various appetizers have thus far all been satisfactory or better on several occasions; the wine by the glass list is solid and fairly reasonable by local standards. Service is friendly, prompt and efficient, though at times somewhat amateurish. We'll keep returning. read more

Noticed right away that the waitress gives out popcorn to other customers but us. When clearing extra plates and cups, she's banging stuff around as if she's pissed about..., something? She came by only once to take our orders and then disappeared. Asked for the check from a guy clearing our table. Also noticed one of the waitress spraying windex all over a table next to us, and as SOON as she was done, they arranged all the cups upside down for the next customer. Yuck. This was our first time eating here, and it definitely won't be the last! We had the perfect meal from start to finish here tonight. I started with an Aqua Fresca from the bar, which was a refreshing summer cocktail! Service was friendly, and the music was great. My husband and I shared the crispy green bean appetizer, which was perfectly fried and seasoned. I had the lemon chicken with garlic mashed potatoes, grilled corn and grilled carrots, which was delicious. My second visit and both times everything we had was excellent! A great balance of flavor and cooked to perfection. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Enjoyed our evening sitting outside even though basically sitting in a grocery store parking lot. I recommend the bowls, specifically branzinno, steak and chicken farro. I haven't written a review on yelp for about three years because all the food has been so uninspired and so desolate. I found craft kitchen one day after spending a wonderful morning taking a drive down Wilton Road. It was lunchtime we were hungry we found this place on yelp it was rated pretty high and we figured hey let's give it a shot. From the cocktails to the appetizers to the entrée and even to the desert let's just say if you want a little bit of variety and spice in your life and you want to be inspired by the state of cuisine please look no further than craft kitchen and bar! I have never been to a restaurant where I enjoyed just the appetizer menu so much it took me a long time to even go to the other side of the menu because all of the meals were inspired well put together and just made me want them to jump out onto my plate. We ordered six appetizers just to start and we did not regret one moment of it the service was impeccable Johnny was the most hospital attentive compassionate waiter we have ever met on top of it he was answering phones and managing the front of the house I could not be more impressed with the level of service I felt like I've been Johnnys best friend for my whole entire life. Nice Casual Restaurant near the Movie Theater Craft 14 serves mainly hamburgers, sandwiches and other light fare. It's within a shopping complex that also has a Bow Tie Movie Theater. Ambiance is casual and the food was good. Prices a little on the high side for what you get. read more

Food is great, they give you popcorn as a starter instead of bread which is a cute idea. Their short rib Mac is one of the best things on the menu. I also got the crab cake sandwich which was good, but not great. I think one thing the restaurant could improve on is offering more main plates that aren't super pricy. read more

Watermelon gazpacho shouldn't taste like salsa! Waiter wasn't helpful and seemed to not want to really wait on the four of us. Not worth my time to write much more but we would never go again. We visited this place by accident because of heavy, stopped traffic on rt 15 - we are so happy we did! The food and service were excellent. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed him. We started with the artichoke and fried ricotta appetizers. Both were delicious. My husband had the burger and I the chicken farrow bowl and we had no complaints. Great food. The food is decent, but the service is served with a frown. I had the waiter dressed as a skeleton. He gave the most minimal of service, dropped off menus, took our order and brought the check. The tables around us all got popcorn, and servers checking in to see if they were happy or needed anything. Our food was finally served by a different server, I can only guess they were tired of looking at it sitting there ready to be served since the table closest to our was served before us, (nearly the same food) despite the fact that they came in after us and ordered after us. If I wanted salt, which I did, I was out of luck, as you have to ask for it and our waiter clearly had better things to do than demean himself by taking care of customers. read more

Takeout gets 1 star; and that's only because 1 Star is lowest rating allowed. Food prepared like someone shoveled it into a bag in a soggy mess. Oh, & Tuesday night bartender... get over yourself. Never saw worse service in a near empty restaurant. I've worked in the restaurant/ bar tending business and I know how tough it can be. But your customers work too and don't need your attitude when spending their hard-earned coin in your establishment. We dined, party of 4 at Craft 14 + Bar. Nice pub/bar environment, moderate to dark lighting and open space feel. Our orders: 1) Plank salmon (me)...I asked the server if the salmon was ocean caught or farm raised and she quickly answered ocean caught. This, of course, is increasingly rare today so I while I had my doubts i ordered it. Served on a bed of grains with a smooth delicious pureed squash, I have to say the salmon was excellent. Cooked pretty much to perfection. Pleasantly surprised. 2) Wife ordered crabcake app only and said it was also very good. Service was very good as was the beer and craft drink selection. We didn't know about Craft and it's really not far from our home, maybe a 20 minute drive and well worth it. We'll return. Brand new place that just opened in Wilton center, by the same owners of Bianco Rosso nearby. Went with my wife on a Thursday evening. When the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating available, in addition to the inside. When we got there around 7PM, there was a moderate crowd. The place has a good vibe, dimly lit, with TV's over the bar area. One thing to note, the inside is LOUD. This is not the place to go for any type of intimate conversation. Since I wanted to have a conversation with my wife, we opted for the outside which was a bit more quiet, with just some music over the speakers. Now on to the food. I started with the clam chowder with bacon and chives, excellent! My wife had the shrimp and kimchee dumplings, which was served in a broth. Very good as well. They have a few appetizers, as well as a mix of small plates and larger type meals. For a main course, I had the shrimp and my wife had the pork schnitzel. Both were excellent. They also have some craft burgers and different types of macaroni and cheese on the menu which look interesting. The table next to us got them and looked great. Will be back to try those. They also have a kids menu, and with the inside so loud, if the kids scream or make a scene, don't think anyone would notice. :) For desert, my wife ordered Nutella smores which were quite decadent. Food:Very good Service:Terrible Noise:Defeaning (for an eatery). Ok, they still need some work here. We dined tonite (two couples). We were seated quickly, as they were not that busy for a Saturday at 7pm. Waiter gave us some water and asked if we wanted drinks, about 3 seconds after handing us the drinks menu. We said yes, just give us a second. Well that was about 5 minutes before we saw him again. He just disappears. And unlike GOOD service people who steal a glance at every table as they walk by, this guy? Zip. So finally we get the drinks ordered. Takes a bit to get them , but not in a hurry. We have one person who needs a straw to drink from a heavy glass, so we ask for one. Never shows. After a while, our waving finally attracted the manager, who sent the elusive waiter over, so we could ask for the straw again. Good news! The food arrives. Very nice. I had the Shrimp and Grits, which had a nice bit of heat from the jalapenos. Just lovely. Fish and Chips were great, fish was fried just perfectly, a little crust and tender on the inside. Salmon steak also first rate. Cubano sandwich was also enjoyed. Not a bad meal on the table. Dessert was carrot cake. Sinfully good. I had almost finished my beer just before the food came, and the waiter asked if I wanted another. I said not just yet. So the food arrives (which is delivered by a server, not the waiter) and now I have no beer. Waiter NEVER returned to the table until the main course was long done. So they missed a chance to sell another round to the table, incredible. The noise level is so high, the waiter has to ask you to repeat things. That should give them a clue. We occasionally order delivery and takeout from Craft 14, but we've never dined in, so I can't comment on that. My favorite dish for lunch is the tomato soup with grilled cheese. Simple, but well executed. The soup has a great consistency - not too thin and not too thick - with a strong tomato flavor. The grilled cheese is made with Swiss cheese, so the cheese is pretty mild in flavor. What makes it tasty is the texture and butteriness. This classic duo really balances each other. For dinner, I really like the lemon chicken and the roasted salmon. The lemon chicken would be my top choice. Perfectly cooked chicken with a slightly acidic sauce over smooth mashed potatoes and veggies. The one time I got the salmon it was slightly overcooked, he the flavor was still there. I enjoyed the dish. 90% of the time I go for my tried and true lemon chicken, but I'm looking forward to trying some more dishes and dining in at some point. We started with the ricotta arancini, BBQ wings, and the bao buns. Our favorite was the buns but everything else was just as good. Forget this place. Went for burgers and were brought small cheeseburgers, and fries. Told waitress my friend is allergic to cheese, but she did nothing. To start, it was loud. Way too loud. When we arrived I asked a waitress to turn down the music just a bit so I could hear myself think. She did not. I asked another person and he did which I was thankful for. I ordered the CT Clam Chowder and Fish and Chips. The clam chowder was great but the fish and chips not so much. The chips ( fries ) that came with it were thin very cold and very salty. The fish was cold as well. To add to they mayhem, gnats and flies were buzzing around the whole time we ate. On multiple occasions the smell of cigarette smoke filled my nose as someone was smoking right next to the open door. I must remark that the setting was nice except for the fluctuating light levels.
