Hit this spot for some cocktails and wow, they did not disappoint. The craft cocktails were excellent. The bartender was friendly and gave us lots of recommendations on where to go after. The inside of this bar will definitely live rent free in our minds. Cheetah girl aesthetic, with such an awesome vide. Even the workers had cheetah incorporated into their uniforms. Next time we're coming back for dinner

Went to Craft and Commerce on a Friday night. Luckily we found parking nearby which is always an obstacle when trying to dine in downtown SD. I love the decor of C & C. The restaurant got crowded real quick. We were happy to find bar seating. Wife and Insterted with our obligatory Old Fashioned and this one did not disappoint. For food we got sliders off the Happy Hour menu. We also got Wagyu egg rolls and their sweet and sour Brussels sprouts. The egg rolls were piping hot when they came out so we had to wait a bit for them to cool down. I enjoyed their flavor and the ranch sauce was definitely complimentary. The Brussels sprouts were yummy as well. The sliders were good and it's hard to mess up sliders. All in all we had a great time, great drinks, and good food. We'll definitely be back.

John/Sean is hella cool! Great customer service, great atmosphere, beautiful bar, great appetizers (chicken tenders, potato skins, wagyu egg rolls). The fruity pebbles drink was good but if you have any taste aversion to creamy sweet drinks-don't The inner child one was really good too, I would've done more drinks if I could but that will have to be another time. Bathroom location kinda weird but is available. The speakeasy is super cool, a must visit.

Excellent Waygu skewers!! Highly recommend checking out the tiki bar in the back after you finish your meal. Probably the best tiki bar atmosphere with a little water feature!

The food was horrible! The shrimp tempura was soggy and lacked any kind of flavor! It has such a gross consistency. Was not full and still took a really really long time to get our drinks! Place is cute but definitely not worth it!

Four stars would be too kind. Here's why: This is the gateway to the speakeasy False Idol. I've been to False Idol several times before, and I've walked through thinking I should try this place. We arrived and stood at the desk for four or five minutes until a bartender came over and seated us, as the hostess never did appear. Beyond that, the weight staff was very good, attentive, and I couldn't have asked for more. The food however was forgettable. We started with the Shishido peppers. While they were tasty, they were a bit overcooked and on the mushy side. Next we moved on to the skewers and had the shrimp and the beef skewers. The shrimp was decent, and we had a couple of those. The beef however was overcooked and closer to jerky - this is a risk with Wagyu, and it was a disappointment. The beer selection was good, however as expected, they lack some of the cocktail served in the speakeasy behind. So for me, having one good item out of three, does not justify a return trip.

Food was amazing and delicious. Loved the burger and Wagu egg rolls. Bread and buffalo cauliflower was delicious. Service was great. Very attentive. Ambiance was amazing. Great place to visit and eat at. We will be back

FOOD: My friends have been coming here for years for the holidays and boy did their menu change! Our server said that it changed 3 months ago. They have limited food options like skewers, nuggets, burger, fried chicken, etc. Ordered a bucket meal which came with 6 fried drum sticks, mushrooms, slaw, pickles, and different sauces. The food was SALTY. I would rate the bucket 2/5. My friend ordered chicken nuggets and he said they were bland. Another friend had a burger (it didn't come with fries), he asked for medium, but it was well done. The quality of the food went down. They don't offer duck tacos anymore. I would suggest adding more tapas style options. DRINKS: As usual, their drinks DID NOT disappoint. Boyfriend ordered Yippie AI YAY (honey butter mezcal, tequila blanco, marshmallow, and chocolate bitters). (5/5) I ordered Jelly of the Month Club (tequila blanco, parking rose, cranberry, cinnamon, rosemary, genepy, lemon). (5/5) It came in a clear boot mug which was cute. I loved it and it was quite refreshing! SERVICE: Staff was friendly. No issues! AMBIANCE: I love their decor here especially when it's Christmas. The place is cozy and dim. PARKING: On a Sunday evening, it's easy to find a parking spot.

og c&c burger and schmaltz fries. need to order separately, doesn't come together automatically

Service and ambiance was incredible! Our waiter was super friendly, attentive and quick. Food came out warm and delicious. The bathroom is a little ways away to get to and needs two separate codes and was a little inconvenient but not a major issue. Definitely will be coming back! Be aware the parking is not easy to find here but there paid lots around the area and street meters.

Our experience at Craft & Commerce was such a great one! we came here to celebrate my fiancée's birthday on July 24, 2024, and it did not disappoint. It was our first time visiting, and the oysters were so insanely good that I still catch myself thinking about them. The ambience was super chill with low lighting, great energy, and the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Whether you're grabbing drinks, oysters, or just looking for a cool night out in San Diego, this spot is absolutely worth checking out. If you've got the time... GO.

Oh my goodness!!! This food is to die for!!! Best honey biscuits and nuggets I ever had! The servers are very friendly! Highly, highly recommend this place!! If I lived here, this would be a regular for us!! Also... the speakeasy in the back have the most friendly staff ever! They truly try and make it a special experience!! Harmony is the best!!

10/10 Tiki Bar! I stumbled upon this spot when in the area and had the most amazing experience. I only had drinks but the bartender was sweet and amazing. The menu is huge with something for everyone! They also have a speakeasy at this spot (so cool). The only note is that their bathroom is outside of the establishment. As a female it can feel a little uncomfortable so be sure to have someone with you!!

Parking is a nightmare good luck finding parking within a mile of the restaurant. Pros: atmosphere, drinks, service Cons: food wasn't great for the price, restaurant was small and crowded, no parking Service: All of our servers were friendly and very accommodating. Gave us some knowledge on the menu and recommended cocktails based on our preference. I had spilled my drink and they were quick to make me another one. Food: I had intended to get the prime ribeye cap steak but they ran out for the night around 8pm. I shared the steak sampler which came with four different cuts of steak and 4 sauces. I ordered medium and it was cooked medium/medium rare which was fine with me, it also had a good sear, almost burnt though. Out of the four steaks, we only liked two based off flavor and tenderness. The other two were more tough and gamey. None of the sauces really stood out but the bordelaise and horseradish were good. For our sides we got fries, roasted broccoli, and the grilled wedge salad. Fries were average. The roasted broccoli had really good flavor, I expected the broccoli to be al dente but it was cooked to mush and drenched in sauce. The grilled wedge salad was decent, there was a slightly bitter taste to it. I know it says grilled wedge but the experience of biting into the salad and it being both hot and cold was not pleasant. Cocktails: I tried the Honey Ryder and New Wave. These were recommended as the more fruity/sweet cocktails. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it's only 2oz so it's not too strong. Ambience: 10/10 I got seated downstairs by the bar. Only thing about downstairs is that it's too dark to take photos unless you use flash. Overall, I agree with the other reviews saying to go just for drinks and appetizers. I would go again just to sit upstairs and get drinks and take pictures. We left unsatisfied and ended up getting in-n-out after.

Unfortunately this is where the curtains are drawn and we find it was a sheep masquerading as a wolf all along. Their cocktail menu was extensive. The drinks had clever names and interesting flavors, but none of them really wowed. The whiskey menu was one of their strengths, featuring a good selection of American, Japanese, and Scotch whiskeys. Probably the only slip-up in service, was that our main came out when we had barely put a dent in apps. We were probably chatting and sipping on wine too much? The expo realized, kept the mains, and said take your time. Then he brought out mains when we were ready. Everything on the menu sounded amazing. I like that they regularly introduce limited-time food and cocktail specials, so there's usually something new to try while still keeping some of their popular favorites on the menu. Everything I've ordered over multiple visits has been well prepared, and I haven't had a bad meal yet. It's definitely on the pricier side, so I see it more as a place for celebrations, date nights, or when you want a unique dining experience rather than an everyday meal. Between the food, drinks, and the incredible decorations, it feels worth it for those occasions. One piece of advice: make a reservation. From the spooky, dark, skulls old school ambiance and decor, to the experience of not ordering from a menu, everything about it made it feel unique and curated making it feel like a true individualized experience. As mentioned, there are no menus. We sat at the bar, the bartender makes casual conversation with you regarding the types of drinks you enjoy. He curated something for both my husband and I based on what we shared we enjoyed. The drinks were delicious. The entry was very cool! It felt as if you were entering a hidden spot - which you do. When you enter the restaurant, you let the hostess know you're there for the Noble Experience. She let us know to head to the wall with the kegs (which is actually a door). You enter and there's a small waiting area where you're greeted by another hostess. This place is a 20/10. We can't wait to return on our next visit to SD.

First round was great, not exactly what we ordered but still quality cocoktail. Second round was not good at all. And especially not what we ordered lol The wait on off days can be 5-10 minutes. Busy days it can be 1-2 hours. Drinks: 5/10 Service: 6/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Value: 4/10
