The hostess took my phone number down and said they would send a text. 40 minutes passed and I didn't receive a text. I addressed it back with the hostess and she said I canceled the reservation - which I did not. After a second hostess checked to see what happened, looked like the hostess incorrectly put my phone number down and also canceled it out. As a long time Hilton Honors member, I expected better customer service. First time here during San Diego Comic Con. My pal wanted to get food and did not want to eat alone so I went with him here. He got a Burger and Fries which he said was really delicious. I just got a cold ice beer...Blue Moon to be exact. It was refreshing and just want I needed to wind down from the Comic Con Fun. It was only $9 and it comes with a great view of bay. I wanted to capitalize my Comic-Con experience by going to a restaurant that was all about the Comic-Con festivities and came across Hilton Bayfront's Hudson & Nash (H&N) on my trusted Yelp App. I loooved its limited-time themed menus. I headed over to the Marina Kitchen only to find out they relocated to a ballroom style eatery. It had no life in it and no bar like the older one did. So I headed over to Hudson and Nash on a recommendation from someone who also just left the Marriot -lol Once in the hotel there could be better signage on where its located. I ended up going upstairs and thought it was another place that is only a bar that opens much later. I head back downstairs and find its tucked in a corner at the end. Its actually a really decent location. I head to the bar and i'm the only one there. I asked the bartender ahead how much a Cadillac marg will be, some places inside hotels charge a ton for them. He quotes around $35+ so I just stick with a Skinny Margarita with OJ. They use a Jose Cuervo Tradicional blanco which is not bad for a skinny marg. I've seen places try to use well tequlias for those. It was a very decent skinny marg. Cant complain at all. Very refreshing and tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone searching for a nice place to eat and get a drink. just be warned about the higher prices for hotels which is normal. Great hotel restaurant. The asparagus and prosciutto app might be one of the best apps I've ever had! It's on ground level of the Hilton. The waitress and food runners were friendly and the wait time for food was good. I liked the seabass flavor a lot but the skin was chewy and leathery vs crispy so i needed to use a knife to cut the fish into bite sized pieces. Despite the skin, I would eat there again. read more

They have happy hour from 8-10pm each night. We came here two nights in a row during happy hour, but our experiences were very different each night. The first evening, we sat at a table all the way in the back of the restaurant. Our waitress was pretty nice and let us know certain dishes were half off for happy hour. We ordered the tuna poke and calamari fritti, and a beer. Tuna poke was really good and came with black sesame rice chips. The calamari wasn't that good. The fried batter wasn't crispy enough and the texture of the squid was not good either. The next day, we sat at the bar and ordered the tuna poke again. The service was not good. We waited a long time to order, get food, etc. Furthermore, the bartender told us the happy hour poke was $15, not half off. I wasn't too pleased with the inconsistent information and inconsistent charging, especially since we came and had the exact same thing the day before and still had the receipt with proof. For some reason, the second night's tuna poke wasn't as good as the first's. The second night's service was by far lacking compared to the first's. We only got one giant rice crisp on day two instead of many the first night. If you are staying at the hotel, the restaurant is convenient. read more

Second time back, this is our go to restaurant on the Hilton Bayfront property. The service was a little slow this time, probably because we were close to the 4pm check in rush. Stayed at the Hilton Bayfront over Memorial Day weekend and dined at Hudson & Nash with our daily food credit. We came at about 3:30PM. They weren't too busy, but service was meh. We got seated towards the back of the restaurant facing the ocean. We waited about 10-15 minutes after being seated but no one came to help us. We enjoyed the view while we waited, but we had to flag down a waiter to get waters, and to place our orders. After we placed our order, the food and drinks came out relatively quickly. 10/10 to the bartender who made my old fashion drink. It was solid. I had the lobster roll while my bf enjoyed the fish and chips. I'd say it was pretty tasty overall. A star off because not only was the service meh, but our server also added an item to our bill that we didn't order. We brought it to his attention and he apologized and fixed it, but yeah, check your bill people or you may be overcharged. read more

My boyfriend and I visited for lunch as their breakfast service was ending. We opted for takeout since we weren't sure about parking. It's located on the first floor at waterfront side in the Hilton Bayfront hotel on Park Blvd just outside of Gaslamp. As mentioned, we didn't know where to park but there most likely is a parking area for customers who are not staying at the Hilton. My boyfriend and I ordered their Orecchiette Pasta and Chermoula Chicken. The food smelled amazing on the drive home. The pasta dish was just okay. It had a lot of pasta with only a small amount of vegetables and scattered sausages. There was a nice, subtle spicy kick in the sauce. The chicken, on the other hand, was nicely seasoned with a lot of flavor, but it had some pink areas, so we heated it up just in case. The figs and vegetables were very good. There was a side of "soup" that came with the chicken meal, I believe. It was very flavorful and good, but I started to wonder if it was meant to be a sauce for the chicken because it was kind of thick... We tried it with the chicken and was thoroughly surprised by how much of a difference it made with and without that "sauce". The takeout container for the pasta almost broke in half when we arrived home because the sauce soaked through. This dish should have been packaged in two containers but thankfully, this dish was on top of the chicken entrée. Overall, the food was relatively good especially the chicken dish. Would love to come back to try their other chicken dishes when the menu changes if they're all this flavorful. Just hope that the chicken would be fully cooked without the residual pinkness. We should have also read the signs about the automatic 20% gratuity before ordering takeout. It would have been a better experience dining in as we're already charged the gratuity. P.S. There is a 5% service charge + 20% mandatory gratuity. Even with takeout orders, there is an automatic 20% gratuity added which is kind of crazy in my opinion. Hudson & Nash is conveniently located inside the Hilton, which makes it an easy option if you're staying at the hotel or nearby. The service was fine and the space itself is pleasant enough, but overall the food was pretty mediocre -- nothing terrible, just not memorable or worth going out of your way for. One thing that really threw me off was the number of birds flying inside and landing on tables. I actually like birds, but seeing them around where people are eating made me uncomfortable, especially from a hygiene standpoint. We were staying at the Hilton and we were too lazy to go outside to eat and the prices here are about average for a sit-down restaurant, so we Food was decent but the service could definitely be better. I ordered the Hudson Hot Chicken ($22) and I've also tried the Double Burger ($23). Everyone else's orders came out except for mine. I'm not sure what happened, but somehow it got lost to the kitchen and I had to wait for my hot chicken sandwich way longer. Everyone else had already finished their plates by the time I received my sandwich. The food itself was good, and that's what saved the rating. However, even with the food that arrived first, everything was lukewarm by the time it got to our table. It seemed like the dishes were sitting for a while before they got to our table. Service wasn't great. They only came by to take our orders and drop them off but otherwise were nowhere to be seen. I wanted to ask for a water refill but no one passed by. I also wanted to ask for ketchup for my fries but again, no one passed by that I could wave down. We sat for a while after I finished my own meal before our server came by to clear our plates and give us our check. Like I said, the food itself was what saved its rating, but the service was near nonexistent. It wasn't packed either, there were plenty of empty tables all around us and it was past the lunch rush. This restaurant is good for its convenience since it's in the hotel, but their servers should be checking up on their tables more. read more

This restaurant is in a Hilton hotel, which looks magnificent. Having now been in three hotels on the waterfront in San Diego I was impressed with how this one measured up. We went here to see a stamp show which is on, unfortunately been shrinking in size. Back to the restaurant. We were comfortable situated with the ocean view. However, too much sun was shining in on the older gentlemen in our party. Funny note, the birds apparently continue to fly into the restaurant so we had a buddy. Everyone ordered a different dish and felt it was OK. My father had fish and chips which he thoroughly enjoyed. The two foodies in the group were particular. One of them ordered a hamburger, which is what she orders when she doesn't see something on the menu that interests her. She said it hit the spot. Dad loved the french fries but there were so many. We ended up taking some home. I nibbled on them and thoroughly enjoyed it. The unfortunate part is how expensive everything was. Simple black English tea was barely under $10. I think my arm Palmer was somewhere around six or eight dollars. Overall, everyone was satisfied. If you're going for the experience, this is definitely an excellent place especially for groups, girls going to a spa, or I would imagine a romantic night out. They even have a really nice bar. Grabbed a late lunch/early dinner with the family during Comic Con (2025). We parked in the hotel parking structure, so it was convenient. We had our kid with us, so we couldn't sit at the bar upstairs. Since it was Comic Con weekend, we were given a special menu, so choices were limited. No complaints. The food we ordered was filling and delicious. We did not have to wait at all for a table. Service was relatively quick considering how many people were there. Our food also came out quickly. With exception to receiving 2 BLT sandwiches with avocado and no kids chicken tenders, everything was fine. The tenders came out quickly. There's not much I can say in this review. I'm not sure if the noise level is normally this high, and if prices are usually this high. All I can say is that it seems on par with Comic Con weekend. read more

Caesar Chicken salad with romaine, chicken breast, interesting Grana Padano and Cotija Cheeses. Coconut curry salmon, with snap pea, sweet potato, and noodles. This was my first meal after arriving in SD and I was so happy I didn't have to travel far. Restaurant looks new or newly renovated and very appealing. There is plenty of seating and the decor makes you feel like you're on a yacht. The views are priceless being right on the bay, absolute perfect location with both indoor and outdoor seating. Because the weather is so appealing, the servers left the door open, no doubt making it easier for them to go in and out, but the downside to this is that the birds know food is inside and they are not shy about finding their way to it. I looked down while waiting for my meal to see a bird eating crumbs off the table by my feet. Fortunately it did not fly above my table, but I did keep an eye out for that. My server was awesome! So cheerful and helpful. He gave me a recommendation for the double burger and it did not disappoint. Easily one of the best burgers I have ever had. We frequent here especially when we are attending an event at the Rady's Shell. Food has generous portions. For this specific visit we ordered Convoy wings, TJ Cesar, and SoCal BLAT sandwich. All so good! They won't disappoint. We come here really for the drinks. The Julian apple pie Old Fashion is a favorite of ours and their Mai Tais are REALLY good!!
