Ordered to-go via the website. It was ready on the time promised. The order was large and complicated but the staff got everything correct and packaging was perfect. We tried the chicken kabab pita, beef pita, chicken shawarma pita. I recommend all three. The chicken kabab meat was perfectly tender and so flavorful. The hot sauce is a must!! We also had their fries which were perfectly crisp and seasoned. Hummus was so authentic and the quality was 10/10-def no filler ingredients. Lentil soup was delicious and hearty. Wow! I was looking for a light but filling lunch spot and had always noticed Craft Pita out of the corner of my eye in this shopping center. So glad we finally checked it out. It's a cute casual, order at the counter setup with plenty of booths and tables, plus a few outdoor spots in front. We kept it simple and ordered the chicken kebab hummus bowl and the chicken kebab salad bowl. Both were great. They were fairly similar, but we agreed the hummus bowl had a slight edge. There were a lot of other items on the menu that sounded fantastic. The food quality was great and the staff was kind. Honestly, this feels like a place that will probably make its way into our monthly rotation. My only small critique is that it's a little on the pricey side. A couple of iced latte Turkish coffee drinks started us off on the right foot, my wife asked the manager if he could put in a drive through window just to sell these. My wife really loved her chicken noodle soup, i got a few tastes, amazing broth and chunks of chicken that was tender and full of flavor. Her soup came with a cup of baked pita chips. Recommendations for sides for a quick read: Fries with Garlic Aioli is killer (I'm a fries connoisseur) and hummus is amazing. I've ordered from here many times before to-go but this was my first time dining in with their new dinner service, which was nice. Our server was very attentive and helpful! I shared a the caesar wrap, fries, and hummus with one other person and it was very filling and we came in hungry. Finally gave them a try during HRW! I've tried their beef pita and chicken shawarma sandwiches on two occasions. The beef was lacking a bit of flavor and the chicken was very dry. Honestly we thought the prices were pretty fair, until we saw my pita sandwich. The portion is probably 75% of what I would've expected for a meal and given the price. It was also pretty dry, not enough of the toum sauce inside, you definitely need another sauce with it. The pita was sad, flat, and dry; though the pita chips were really good and well-seasoned. Her hummus bowl was tasty and vibrant in color; though, it's laughable to include chickpeas in the ingredient list on the menu when there's only 3 in your bowl. Staff are friendly and check on you. The outdoor patio is pretty unique, hopefully the weather is in your favor. In sum, it was a 3-star experience due to the value proposition and execution. The cashier was friendly and helpful and advised me to which dishes were the popular ones. So I got the listed first chicken pita and should have maybe tried the gyro one. This pita sandwich is too dry for me. I think more sauce or aoli or more tomato would be just right. Or maybe serve it with some of the tomato and parsley salad on the side. Staff were friendly and helpful (though I didn't have to interact with them much since my food was ready and I had paid online). As a fan of their other location near the Galleria, I was super stoked when Craft Pita made its debut in this quiet strip in the West U area. It's the sleepier of the two locations, but it's also my favorite for its easy going vibe, friendly service, guaranteed parking, and super tasty food. It's been open for close to 2 years and has been a great addition to the neighborhood. I appreciate the mishmosh of indoor and outdoor seating and lots of group friendly and solo dining options. It's a bright, clean, and modern interior with a fun wine wall and open kitchen. That latter bit is a big one because it often smells *so* good in here when they're cooking anything and everything. Also, kudos to that quality AC. It's everything during hot weather months. Ordering is casual and easy. Pay at the front, take a number, and the food will be delivered tableside. I have enjoyed their mezze dinner ($70 for 2), which includes a sampler platter, rice, pita bread, and choice of protein that includes rotisserie chicken or kebabs or or even veggie friendly options such as falafel or lentils. Sometimes doing it a la carte is fun as well, where the roasted cauliflower, potatoes, shawarma fries, and either their labnet or hummus with a salad is a nice mish mosh of food. If it's lunch time, I'm looking at any of their bowls and platters or potentially a pita sandwich. The chicken / gyro / beef ones are my favorite. While it's technically the kid's menu, I have no shame in enjoying the pitadilla, in part for the funny name (#1) but also because rotisserie chicken with mozzarella is such a basic, but equally addicting combo. Whole rotisserie chicken birds are now at $37, so I'd recommend just getting a dinner special ($55), to maximize the spread of food. I had a gift card here and I finally had a chance to come and eat here. I brought my friend Nancy because this is one of her favorite restaurant. Great food and service, the owner even stop by our table and talk to us for a little bit. They have some unique fusion food you don't see at other restaurants like Lebanese Tacos and Pitadilla. It probably could have used more olive oil in the hummus and more garlic sauce in general. The cheese flatbread was tasty and so was the zataar. Another time, the hummus appetizer was just too salty. I left more than half of it uneaten. The counter girl checked on me and I told her the issue. She went to the kitchen to talk to the person who made the batch but she never followed up with me the rest of the meal. The place is nice, bright, and clean. My wife, mother n law and myself decided to stop by Craft Pita after running errands all day! We walk in and we're not pleasantly greeted by the employee at the register. We asked for recommendations and he did not know what we should get. (I don't know if he is new or not) however, I would hope an employee knows at least 1 thing off the menu. Yum! We enjoyed everything we've tried here. Salad bowl was fresh, with a good variety of veggies, and although I had asked for dressing on the side, they got confused and mixed it in anyway. But really appreciated that they didn't drench the salad in dressing (a lot of places overdo it, hence I always ask for dressing on the side), and it was just the right amount. Otherwise I would have gone back and asked them to remake the salad, but honestly every bite was very enjoyable. Also loved the crumbled pita chips garnished on top. Gave my salad a nice crunch, such an excellent pairing. Our whole family loved the chicken kebab too. Well seasoned, not overly salted, and juicy. Another winner. My only complaint was all the burnt grill marks that I had to cut off, but otherwise it was very tasty. Chicken pita was delicious as well. The shawarma style comes with fries wrapped inside, which was a surprise. I'm not Lebanese or grew up with Mediterranean food, but to me, the addition of fries makes the shawarma sandwich seem more Americanized and less authentic to food in that region. I may be wrong, so won't claim any expertise. However, I will say that our whole family loved the shawarma sandwich with fries combo as well, so I am not complaining. Look, Craft Pita need to sponsor me because my wallet is drained every time I come in. It's dangerous that it's so close to home cause it's easily walkable from the apartments around the corner. Fabulous new location for Craft Pita near West University. Have been a fan of Craft Pita for many years at the Fountainview location. Was able to try this new expansion (their second restaurant) with an amazing Yelp event last December. Love their business model where they support local farmers, like Adkinson Farms and Plant It Forward, and their fresh, delicious and healthy menu. Try their seasonal offerings like Brussels sprouts or beet hummus. Love Craft Pita H-APP-Y Hour! Come from 3-6 daily to enjoy a large selection of half priced appetizers. Our favorites include almost everything on the menu!! My favorite salad is the Fatoush. Fresh lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, mint, parsley and radishes topped with crispy pita chips and the most delicious pomegranate vinaigrette. Grab a bottle of the vinaigrette to take home as well. For hot shared plates, the roasted potatoes with the garlic aioli are so good. Get the cauliflower. Served with lemon rind, toasted almonds and tahini. Delicious! Grab a plate of falafel. Four pieces of warm crispy on the outside and soft on the inside served with pickled turnips. Perfect to dip in the garlic or spicy aioli. Do you love za'ater? Get the manaeesh, Lebanese flatbread. The half cheese and half za'ater is the perfect taste of both. And add an order of fries. They are topped with za'ater, too. For dinner, order the pitadilla. Like a quesadilla, but made with pita. Filled with rotisserie chicken and Lebanese cheese add some garlic aioli or hummus to elevate the delicious flavors. Still hungry?? Their pita sandwiches, bowls and platters with combinations of chicken, falafel, beef and veggies are all great!!
