Our large group of ladies (17) dined here for lunch today. Everyone was very pleased with the food and service. None of us had ever been here before. They sat us in their lovely private dining room. I'm sure you will now have many new customers after today! Wael, the owner was very friendly and personable and even posed for a picture with our group!!

My gyro was bomb as were the spicy potatoes that came with it, but......I can't say their roast beef was any good. They do have an excellent and unique homemade hot sauce, but you have to ask for it to get it on the side--$1.00. The hummus was a but bland, hence why I got the hot sauce for it, which then made it amazing. Service, excellent. Kind, friendly, attentive, and always willing to answer any questions about their dishes since that have a wide array of food in their buffet section that you can get a mixed plate and choose 2-3 items from it. BUT-- they have probably the best baklava I've ever had!!! Wow! And they have a layer baklava cheesecake with a thick layer of baklava at the bottom, then a layer to cheesecake, then another thick layer of baklava on top. I seriously would return here for the baklava alone--i have to get the cheesecake next time!!! Ambiance, very open, checkered floors, outside patio...pretty casual.

That rice is NOT fully cooked at all.

Came here because a friend posted about them on her FB page recently, and we're in the area anyway. Well, Friday night and there's only 2 other people dining in (not a good sign). I ordered the lentil soup, gyro plate, beef shawarma plate, and meat lovers pizza. My gyro plate was a disappointment. First off, the rice was NOT fully cooked (think some hard grainy bites, NOT good). Hummus and pita bread came with the pizza. And that hummus was also disappointment, it may have been the worst hummus I've ever had. The salad that came with our meals was also a sprinkle of veggies here and there doused with a lot of oil. They could do better on We all ordered water and my goodness, that water tastes NASTY. It also smelled nasty. I had to walk up to the dollar store nearby and get me some bottled water. The boys did chow down their pizza and hubby didn't complain about his shawarma. Hence, the 2 stars. But, I'm for sure not coming back here.

Place is clean with lots of seating. You order prior to finding a seat. I didn't like that their menu had two different prices for their gyros. One said wrap only and the other said combo. No where on the menu did it say that the wrap only option was for lunch only. I told the cashier I just wanted the wrap, and she insisted I buy the combo or it would be the same price. I pointed to the menu confused that it says wrap only and she said that's for lunch only. I went ahead and ordered a salad as my side, but on my receipt it said wrap 9.11 and side salad 3.11, so clearly she could have just charged me for the wrap instead of forcing me to pick a side. My gyro was okay, it was lacking flavor. My son's kid's meal was basically a cut up frozen tender and some fries, which cost 7.99. Wasn't impressed with the food for the cost.

Waels moved a few doors down and is much bigger than the previous location. They also have a lovely outside covered dining area. Inside they have a menu you can order off of or a new option is to go through a line cafeteria style and have your food prepared in front of you. We opted for the table service and everything was delicious as usual. I had the lentil soup. Others had hummus and pita bread and lamb wrap. Looking forward to warmer weather to try the outdoor seating.

We've been to Waels a handful of times. The food is consistently good! Nothing special, but it's close to our home. Tonight, I ordered a gyro combo plate. Since rice isn't a side option, we ordered a separate side of rice for $5. We got home and it wasn't in the bag, so my husband went back to get it. He called me laughing... this $5 side of rice must be $1 per bite! He asked if this was the correct size for that price, and they said yes. I think we will just drive a little farther to some of our other favorite gyro spots next time.

I love Mediterranean food - it feels like a healthier option, but still super satisfying. The place itself is casual but has a nice enough atmosphere that it feels like a little treat every time we go. There's a big front patio where you can smoke hookah, and it's always buzzing with people. I've even noticed a lot of people working on their laptops out there. The whole vibe is just really chill. We have our go to order: hot green tea with honey. Idk why I love it so much but I swear it just hits different here. Maybe it's the cute little pot they serve it in. For food, we usually start with an appetizer and split the mixed shawarma plate. This last time we shared a Greek salad as an appetizer. Fresh and delicious as always. One of our sides was the baba ghanoush, which was incredible. Dont get me started on the pita it comes with....Warm, soft, and fresh. It takes everything in me not to demolish the whole basket. For our other side, we always get the potatoes. They're perfectly seasoned with a slight sweetness and a little kick. Hands down my favorite side dish here! The portions are generous too. For me and my boyfriend (who can definitely eat), splitting this is always enough to fill us up. I also have to shout out the service because it's consistently great. Even when it's packed and there's just one waiter, everything flows smoothly. Safe to say we'll keep coming back!

There were a lot of other items on the menu that sounded fantastic. The food quality was great and the staff was kind. Honestly, this feels like a place that will probably make its way into our monthly rotation. My only small critique is that it's a little on the pricey side. Around $21 each for a bowl is a bit high for a casual Saturday lunch for me. (But with that said, still excited to come back!).

When we entered the vibe was relatable to the name of the restaurant but after a few minutes we heard Bollywood songs and I love Bollywood songs but I feel like the vibe of the restaurant should relate to the cuisine and ambiance. It automatically gives an impression that the restaurant isn't Greek or Lebanese for example. Anyway, we had ordered kibeh and lentil soup for appetizers. The lentil soup was the worst lentil soup I've ever had it was frozen we asked them to heat it but it still tasted disgusting. I couldn't eat it. The kibeh was alright the dip with the kibeh was good. For entrees, we ordered the chicken shawarma plate and combo kebabs. The plates came with a salad the dressing was interesting but I'm not a fan of feta cheese so I didn't have the salad. The shrimps and chicken kebab of the combo kebabs were not bad I really liked the shrimps. The hummus was okay and the rice was very bland. The service was quick I believe because everything felt like it was pre-cooked except for the kebabs but the beef kebab wasn't cooked entirely one of the pieces it was raw. The shawarma was not good at all! Very disappointing Our bill was $60 and we were charged a 2.5% fees for credit card!

When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, it was empty other than maybe one other family. When we entered we were told to pick a seat and then given the menus. The second I saw the menu it seemed a bit expensive- I was looking at the vegetarian plate where you can pick 5 which was for $25 I think- I got falafels, tazeki, hummus, another spread, pickled turnips. They didn't have many other options that were appetizing- I'm not into the eggplant or okra. While waiting for the food the waitresses were sitting on their phones chatting laughing, I thought it was unprofessional, that's not what you want to see when you go to a nice place. We were given salad- the salad already had dressing on it which was spicy! Me and my friend could not figure out what it is - it was tangy spicy I think from garlic more chemically tasting rather than Cheyenne spicy. A bit too spicy for both of us. I would have wished they put the dressing on the side so we can add on our own. The food arrived and was given pita bread as well which was nice. The food was not flavorful, the hummus tasted Bland, falafels were actually pretty good but only were given . The pita bread I was hoping was gonna be fluffy but this was so thin and chewy didnt like it. Everything wasn't to my liking or lacking something except the falafels which I only had two of. I think the falafel wrap might have been a better option but due to the price I won't be back.

The restaurant immediately stood out with its bright, clean, and modern atmosphere. I loved the aesthetic, it felt welcoming while still staying true to its Mediterranean roots. Everything looked fresh, and the open food display made it easy to see the quality of what was being served. One thing I appreciated was the variety of options available. They offer lunch specials and combination plates where you can choose several smaller sides along with your choice of protein and rice, which is perfect if you like trying a little bit of everything. The only downside is that, as a first-time customer, the ordering process was a little confusing. You place your order at the beginning of the counter, but many of the side dishes are farther down the line, so it's hard to know exactly what you want until you've walked past everything. Once I figured out how it worked, it was easy, but I'd recommend first-time visitors take a quick walk down the food line before ordering so they can see all of the options available. Everything tasted fresh, and you could tell the food had just been prepared. The hummus was incredibly smooth and creamy, pairing perfectly with the warm, freshly baked pita bread. Honestly, I could've kept eating the basket of bread ha. The beets and salad were both fresh, flavorful, and a nice complement to the rest of the meal. I also appreciated the generous portion sizes, they were more than enough for a satisfying and filling lunch. My only critiques were with the meat and rice. The meat was tender and cooked well, but it learned a little too salty for my taste, which overpowered some of the other seasonings. The rice was also a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the meal. For Middle Eastern rice, I was hoping for something a little more aromatic and flavorful. It was slightly dry and could've used a little more moisture and seasoning to really bring it to life. One thing that was a little disappointing was menu availability. My sister has visited several times before, and this wasn't the first time she's ordered something only to find out afterward that it wasn't available. It happened again during this visit. Hopefully it's just a temporary inventory issue, but it would be helpful if unavailable items were communicated before customers placed their orders. What I appreciated most was how authentic everything felt. From the variety of traditional dishes to the freshly baked bread and homemade sides, it felt like a genuine Mediterranean dining experience rather than a watered-down version. Overall, Fadi's offers fresh, authentic Mediterranean food with generous portions and plenty of variety. Despite a couple of minor hiccups, I'd come back to explore more of the menu the next time I'm in Houston.
