Fadi's has been a staple for excellent quality Mediterranean food for ages. For a place that is so large, the feel is very familial and cozy. The lighting is soft hues and while the lines can be long, they do move quickly. The servers move like clockwork and are friendly and helpful along the line. The food in itself is exquisite. I love the varieties of hummus available. The original is my favorite, but the mushroom one is also great. The spanakopita, meat pies and kabobs are delicacies that should not be missed as you walk down the line. The grilled chicken, meatballs, lamb shank and fish are the meats that are all cooked and seasoned well. The quantities are large ad go well with the vermicelli rice and with the pita. Oh the pita! I always eat here with my nieces and it's a race so I don't get to take pictures I will try my best the next visit. However, I love their fries here. It's like deli fries! I ordered lamb kebab and it looks boiled (no caramelization at all) and is very chewy, and all the salads are dripping excessively with mayonnaise or yoghurt or something. It's a really cool place. You are served cafeteria style. They have a great variety of food and they have fresh bread. My only complaint was that I was really craving a gyro and it was not good. Dry and tasteless. The beef kabobs were good enough and the potatoes were great. The fresh strawberry drink was good. The restaurant was very clean and the service was fast. There was a mix of helpfulness from some of the employees when we explained it was our first time but also some employees that seemed put off that we were inconveniencing them with questions. It is family and kid friendly but if you have picky eaters, probably not the best choice. You can order your dishes by the plate depending on what you order there is enough to share they do have a large variety of Mediterranean food to choose from. Some random thoughts: :: The setup is simple: Grab a tray and make your way around the cafeteria style layout. The more you add to your tray, the more you'll pay. :: They don't offer samples. Trust your craving and be wise with your food selections. :: "Half" orders are recommended. Too many full orders will result in extra fees, which is not obvious when people are blinded by the food. :: Find a seat ahead of time. There's nothing more awkward than walking around with a tray full of food looking for a place to sit. :: The parking can be tight. Fadi's popularity means people often have to park further down the lot. :: Groups are fun but this is an ideal place for solo dining or food dates. :: Both lunch and dinner services are packed. Try to aim for non-prime hours. :: Wednesdays are my favorite day. Why? They serve an addicting fish and rice combo. It's actually one of their best dishes and deserves all the shine. At the end of the day, I think Fadi's is a destination for Mediterranean fans. Their interior is lovely, spacious, and offers a lot of opportunities for private groups. An amazing array of Mediterranean foods. The cafeteria style is a little intimidating, but the staff were very helpful. I got the 1 meat + 3 sides combo, but you can split those into half sides. I got lamb shank, with beef hummus, couscous, garlic broccoli, grilled veggies, eggplant (crazy texture but delicious), rice & lentils, and pita. It was a ton of food and came out to like $21 but more than enough for one meal + leftovers. Would love to come back and try more options - the other kebabs, the roast beef, and the coconut chicken curry all looked great. read more

I came here recently with some extended family for lunch and was incredibly disappointed by the level of service and the quality of the food that I experienced here versus at other Fadi's locations. The poor experience started at the beginning of the visit, when the servers were rushing us through the line even though it wasn't busy at the time. They also couldn't seem to agree on what consisted of either a half or a full portion side. A person in my party asked a question about the Vegetable Sampler and was given an unclear and confusing answer about a Vegetable Sampler Platter... which isn't even listed on the menu! Example: I was told by one person that lentil soup is a full portion side and another said that it can be a half portion. Additionally, the woman working the register was abrasive and extremely short with us. She wasn't paying attention when we set our trays down, and we thought she had looked at our plates. Then she barked at us to bring them back again. We finally sat down and started eating, and then a dead fly fell off the wall and landed on the table near my plate. I looked up... and consequently saw a cockroach climbing along the ledge by the TV mounted near the window. Taste wise, the sides were fine but they don't carry Fadi's hummus here and the chicken schwarma tasted off. I would advise you to steer clear of this location and visit the Sugar Land and Memorial ones. They are nicer to their customers and also more hygienic!! read more

I've been hearing everyone talk about Fadi's for so long and we finally dropped by for lunch one day. So if you've never been to Fadi's, it can be a bit overwhelming! You walk in and you really don't know how to order or what's even offered beyond what you see in front of you. Tip: walk down the line and check out all the food before you decide what you want! Could be a bit difficult if it's during busy time but otherwise, you don't have grasps of what's available and what you can get! So you have options for the number of meats and sides you want to have on your plate, and big are the options endless! Another tip: order half portions of the sides so you can try double the number! Meats - to me the lamb was tough but seasoned well, the gyro meat was tender and delicious. I got 4 half sided and I'm glad I did.. portions are still reasonable, leaning towards the larger side, but I was able to try more! I got the hummus, which I loved.. a bean salad and a green salad of some sort, also delicious! The potatoes were a bit disappointing though. They just weren't seasoned well enough. There's fruit juices, meatballs, other hot sides after the cold sides.. so choose wisely! Dishes come with pita if you want it.. fluffy, slight sweet pita. Overall, it was equivalent to Greek fast food served cafeteria style. The colors and decor are visually stimulating but TVs that transport you to Greece for the hour! I thought it was good and ate almost every bite.. a unique experience but don't expect the best Greek food.. it's probably a notch better than the chain Greek places like Niko Niko! My personal favorite is the jalapeño hummus, which isn't as spicy as it sounds. No matter the flavor of hummus, it's always creamy, fresh and delicious, leaving Sabra in the dust. This particular location also has a lot more options on sides to choose from and a more extensive menu in general. Other favorites of mine are the tabouli (for some reason I can't pinpoint I like it more than Aladdin's version) and the fried cauliflower. But honestly, all the sides are excellent in flavor. You really can't go wrong. Tip if ordering takeout: call to place your meat order ahead of time. Everything is always made fresh so it's usually a 15-20 min wait. This time, I was more than pleasantly surprised at the freshness and food quality. The service was okay--not overly friendly but good. I really enjoyed the interior ambiance. It was cutely decorated and homey. My favorite dish was probably the pomegranate eggplant. I really appreciate the hint of sweetness. I also was a big fan of the salad dressing. I'm not sure what was in it or what gave it the orange color, but I would buy a bottle of it. The garlic hummus was tasty and yet I might try a different one next time. The bread was fresh and next time I might see if I can order some to go. Lastly, the chicken kabob was delicious and the garlic paste served with it had me wanting more. I do hope to return next time I am in Houston to try some additional items. Came to eat at Fadi's after hearing good things about the food. I have to say I was disappointed. I ordered the lamb shanks with broccoli, lamb bob, exta rice, potato salad and pita bread. My 1/2 sides were the Turkish mashed potatoes (amazing), tabouleh, cucumber salad (so good & citrusy), eggplant (so flavorful & perfect consistency), and the rice with beef. A meal for 2 was under $35! We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Pay at the cash register at the end of the line. Plenty of to-go boxes & to-go utensils to help yourself. A colleague took me here for lunch and wow, what a feast! Dari's is a cafeteria style restaurant where you can pick from any number of incredible looking & smelling options. My one regret is that I lad taken the time to look at the whole line before I started choosing, I ended up with more food than I could eat as I chose a few things early on that I likely would have left behind if I had known what was coming!
