This is my favorite stop for a holiday cocktail after a day at the Christmas Markets! Definitely love coming here when I'm in the city! Perfectly decorated to get you into the holiday spirit with friendly staff and quick service! The drinks are pricey but delicious, although the chicken tenders are lackluster.

Friendly greeting as you enter. They go all out with seasonal decor here and it's best to have a reservation. The menu and drinks fit the season so it's Halloween-themed now. Everything we had was tasty. I loved my Harvest Salad and sweet potato fries. Some of the drinks are over-the-top and super sweet. But it's a fun experience. Our waiter was fun to chat with though she forgot to bring a water, extra dressing and did put in the wrong entree. But she comped a drink to make it up to us.

We tried to get in and were locked out.

If you say online you're open til 10 pm then be open til 10 pm. We walked half a mile to get there so we could enjoy the awesome ambiance and great cocktails we have experienced before. We knew we would be arriving late (9:15 pm) but definitely time to order a great cocktail and enjoy the scene. NOPE!! I really don't appreciate getting bad information.

So glad to have visited Craftsman Row Saloon again for another Christmas season! It was extremely difficult finding a reservation for the 2025 season but we managed to get one at 11 pm on Dec 12th and it was lovely! I still highly recommend this place to anyone I know who's looking for a Christmas wonderland based on the decor alone however their food continues to surprise me! Even when we decide to go a little more adventurous like with the mac and cheese calzone pizza combo, which sounded weird but was actually so good. Their milkshakes of course are also always worth it so I highly recommend!

Personally I would not go without a reservation as it is quite busy (especially around the holidays) and bar seating is scarce. They decorate the place beautifully with a little train running the tracks and ornaments and garland everywhere. The drink I ordered was fine. It's very crowded at the bar and quite lively. I would imagine having a table instead would be nicer. I think it's a great place to visit maybe for a little holiday fun once

Decorations are beautiful and that's the main draw to this place for the holidays. Otherwise the food is average and the drinks are insanely overpriced, although fun and creative. The automatic gratuity for all party sizes is a bit of a turn off as well.

I was so excited for this experience as new residents to Philly. We arrived a few minutes early to reservation and promptly shown to table and was informed there is a 90 min limit. Not a problem as they are super busy. Drink options were fun and food was themed for Christmas. Ordered our drinks and food. Drinks came out fast and were pretty tasty but I'll say for $19-21 they are pretty small. Drinks were done and waiting on food. Waiting. Waiting. Finally my entree came out (which was technically an app) but hubbys burger wasn't ready. Waited and waited. Finally after about 10 min told me to go ahead and eat. I cut into the Stromboli and while the top was perfectly colder the bottom was burned to. Crisp and so much dough wrapped up inside was raw. It was supposed to have grilled chicken but I couldn't find any. Another 5 minutes pass and waitress finally comes to tell us 2 more minutes in the burger. I tell her I didn't want to Stromboli bc it was raw and she looked at me like I had 2 heads. As if no one has ever complained about a meal. She talked to manger and they removed the item. Finally burger came out and I ordered a salad thinking it would be fast. Hubby was totally done with burger before salad finally came out. They did charge me for the replacement meal and added a mandatory 20% tip. He decor is very fun and cute. There is def a theme for the holiday, kids would really like it and the over the top milkshakes. Adult drinks were good. That's about where I'd leave it. Was lookin forward to coming back for other holiday pop up's but I doubt will try it again.

The decorations for Halloween? Oh yeah they did that! Craftsman Row decked their entire restaurant out with some excellent Halloween decor. It starts as soon as you walk in the door. The atmosphere is great inside, though a bit small. Our waitress was great and even the other staff who dropped off food were all sweet. I enjoyed the names of the drinks, and the drinks were great. The food lacked some flavor, but it was still edible. Overall, I'm looking forward to returning for their Christmas decorations. RESERVATIONS are highly recommended btw!

Welcome!

So fun and festive for the holidays! Make a reservation. This is a place to go to for the experience. The food was fine. Drinks are the attraction-pricey but cute! Service was good-tip is included in the bill. Would go back again pre holidays for sure!

Wreath App

Enjoyed the decor interior and exterior.... however I think that's all to boost about. We really wanted to enjoy our visit, but a few things missed the mark. Seated 20 mins after our scheduled reservation. Sodas flat and dull. Christmas wreath inspired app - underwhelming in flavor and size. We only stayed for 1 app and left to Reading Terminal Market. I would assume this place is only popular for the Christmas decor and cocktails, but not the food. Typical bar food and service.

This was a fun and unexpected surprise to stumble across for lunch while exploring the city on a Sunday afternoon. I came at a strange time, probaby around 3pm so it wasn't crowded and the shift seemed to be preparing for the evening. Service was all friendly and attentive throughout my visit while I was seated at the bar. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak burger, because why not! It was delicious and a hearty meal. Fried were good, hot and crispy. I enjoyed a nice draft beer and overall a pleasant dining experience. I would come back on a future visit!

We went for the Halloween theme decor & menu. We were not disappointed. Our sever was very attentive & checked on us often & they were exceptionally busy with a bus load of high school students coming in to order ice cream desserts. He made sure we were taken care of. Food was slow to come out but again they were very busy! Food quality ok. Overall a fun experience.

Mozzarella Sticks

I went into the city this past Saturday to meet up with my friend who lives in Philadelphia. I informed him I would like to start at a bar I have never been to and this is how we arrived at the Craftsman Row Saloon. We ordered a shot and a beer and here's where things get interesting. There was not too much left in the bottle of Powers Irish Whisky or so we thought. Bartender poured the rest of the bottle out in two cups served neat however, one of the glasses had a dead freaking insect in it, looked like a gnat. After telling my friend my shot has a gnat in it, he said, no problem and took it from me and chugged away lol. Got to love the drinking enthusiasm but I have to dock them a minimum of one star for that. We ordered an appetizer of Mozzarella sticks that were encrusted with Doritos crust. These came out piping hot and I loved them. Five to an order for $14 bucks, not cheap, but meh you're in the city what do you expect. The other thing that really took me a back was they auto tip on your bill for 20%. This is a party of two people, and I felt it almost disrespectful to add that on all of their checks, however I do understand the restaurant does that to protect themselves. Interestingly enough, we weren't told about this auto charge and did not see it on the menu. Other qualm is what I am hearing from other reviewers is they have a ninety-minute time limit for their tables. Although I enjoyed my time here, I don't see myself running back as there is a plethora of bars in the city. As always people SYOY!!!

I learned later that this restaurant has been around since the early to mid 1900's. Plenty of parking in a large open lot. The place is very large and has one of the longest bars I've seen. The wood is very dark and you can see the chefs cooking over the hearth. They don't take reservations and won't see you until your entire party is there. One of the things I liked for our party of 10 was they had no problems with seating as they also have many large round tables. For mixed drinks, they make them pretty big and potent. For my martini, they sent back an extra glass. They also had great bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered onion rings (8 large to an order) and fried zucchini. The onion ring I had was pretty good. I didn't have the fried zucchini but heard it was also pretty good. Other than the light fare items, all dinners come with their salad bar which has both iceberg lettuce and Caesar Salad along with many fixings as well as cheeses and bread. I had the Baked Seafood Platter which came with scallops, shrimp, Clam Casino (without the shell), Maryland crab cake and a small lobster tail for $49.99. My wife had the baked chicken breast which she said was quite dry. The dining area is quite large and reminds me of the restaurants at a casino. Some in our group said it reminds them of Medieval Times due to the dark wood vibe. While I thought it was a bit pricey, I would still come back and try their signature steaks or prime rib.

Also, they won't stay you until the entire party is there. We waited at the bar for everyone to arrive, where one cocktail was more than enough for me. You definitely get your money's worth, and you should not drive afterward. (I did not.)

The first thing I did was head straight for my favorite, Cantillon from Belgium. This visit, I tried their Kriek LG, a fruited lambic made by adding sour cherries to a two-year-old aged lambic. All I can say is... WOW! Tart, complex, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable. If beer could win an Academy Award, this one would be giving an acceptance speech. Now, let's talk food. I ordered the Thai Curry Mussels, and they were absolutely outstanding. The broth was packed with flavor, and the mussels were cooked perfectly. They easily rank in the top five mussel dishes I've ever had, and I've done my research! Pro tip: Don't make the rookie mistake of eating all the bread first. Save some for the end so you can soak up every last drop of that incredible curry broth at the bottom of the bowl. Trust me, you'll thank me later. The service is always excellent. John usually takes care of us in the back, and he consistently makes the experience even better with great recommendations and friendly service. In side is cozy and friendly! If you live in Philly and haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? Great beer, amazing food, and outstanding service--this place checks every box. Just be warned: one visit and you'll be planning your next trip back before you even leave.

The bartender informed us that we could not sit at the table unless we were ordering food. At this point we ended our pub crawl and left defeated scratching our heads. This was far from a classy place without a line out the door during the week which made it even more alarming. Interesting experience as our last taste of Philly.

A quick note for first-time visitors: the restaurant has multiple entrances, and I initially arrived at the back door. The indoor dining area felt quite dark, but the restaurant appears to have multiple levels, including an upstairs dining area and a bar, which adds to its charm. I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. My server was attentive, friendly, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall, The Dandelion offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and great cocktails.
