I'm so happy I found this place on the bus route. Staff is awesome super friendly. So many tasty options. The store is super clean as well definitely my favorite place on Whitebridge Road.

    Okinawa Milk Tea

This is my go to for boba. I love the Okinawa milk tea as its slightly sweet already and has a gentle brown sugar undertone. Definitely order this at 25% sweet as it will already be sweet enough and anymore than that would just be diabolical in my opinion. Traditional milk tea uses a non-diary creamer powder, so that also adds to the sweetness and has a beautiful milky flavor. (Again, 25% sweet is enough) The tapioca pearls had great texture and the portion size was large and perfect. About $6 a cup....keep this in mind as this plus your daily coffee order may add up if done together. You pay and manually enter your order on the tablet near the front register. Happy boba'ing!

Visited May 24, 2023. Yin Yang Tea has two locations. One in Germantown and one on White Bridge Pike. The current reviewed is for White Bridge Pike. This tea shop is fast-casual, self ordered, & cashless. They have a decent variety of drinks (photo of menu attached) which can be ordered at one of two kiosks. There was a lack of face to face customer service during this visit. The employees were behind a curtain during our visit and came out when drinks were done. I do believe we were greeted but it was hardly noticed by my husband because it was said behind the curtain and was very low. The location is very close to Nashville State Community College NSCC so I can imagine it being busy during the school semester like when it was previously 'Royal Boba'. Currently this shop only has tea, but I'm hoping in the future they will introduce snacks items. I do not have any suggestions yet, I still haven't found my go to drink here. My family loves their teas but I find the sweetness level to be inconsistent. Flavor is there just too sweet for me. Pricing starts at $5.5 and increases depending on your milk and topping choices. Ambiance is casual with playful decor. It's a great location for teens and college students. They have games for customers to play during your visit. Drinks were made under 10 minutes. Service was neither good or bad, but the employees seem nice. Parents with young babies, it's stroller friendly but no high chairs, boosters, or changing tables. There's one gender neutral restroom available. The parking lot is shared and on the smaller side. There's extra parking behind the building if needed. Overall it was okay! I prefer the Germantown location better to be honest. I love bubble tea & always at one or the other with my family so hopefully I'll find my drink soon!

Best boba in Nashville! The team is fabulous and the boba was so incredibly tasty!! Grab the strawberry popping boba tea.

Just like their original location in Germantown, the new Yin Yang tea is a wonderful, highly personalized experience for those looking for local bubble tea. Just like venues in East Asia, you can customize amount of both ice and sweetness. The only slightly confusing factor is that 50% sweetness is actually 100%. There's quite a few options for toppings, from various jellies (grass, aloe, lychee, etc) to tapiocas. Whether you're a milk tea or fruit tea person, they have something for everyone. I live for the interesting specials the store does although I'm not the biggest fan of the latest mangonada (the chamoy to mango slush ration was off.) However, the store is always willing to try something new and fresh. It's concepts like these that keep boba shops alive in Nashville, after all. The staff is incredibly friendly, but most of their service is self serve / digital via tablets. It's certainly a straightforward, efficient time at Yin Yang.

I stopped by by Yin Yang Tea after dinner (Wednesday 5/24/23 at 7:30p). (Formerly Known As Royal Boba). The shop was pretty empty. You order everything thru a kiosks, and they will call your name when your order is ready. If you have any questions when order in regard of the flavors or topping, you can ring the bell for services. When order, you will able to customize the flavors of choice, milk option, sweetness level, ice level and topping. Their base are non dairy so perfect for vegan and lactose intolerance diet. I ordered 3 drinks and it come out fairly quick. Drinks are good and pretty consistent every time. They have sitting areas as well as board games for you to play. Definitely a nice place to hangout with friends. One thing to keep in mind is that Yin Yang Tea doesn't not take cash, only credit card payment.

They do not give you the option to order in person, but they still give an option to leave a tip. The screens to order from is not accessible. Mr. bubble tea is so much better. Waste of money.

I'm from New York where boba tea is abundant and quality is everything. The boba here is great and their emphasis on cleanliness is clearly shown. The staff here is also very observant as my girlfriend lost her wallet here and they were able to hold it until the next day. Thank you Yin Yang Tea! Next time I'm in Tennessee, I'll be sure to stop by!

Passionfruit boba in front and earl grey boba in back!
    Shreya R.

Passionfruit boba in front and earl grey boba in back! This place is super dope and they have a ton of different bobas/ jellies you can add like grass jelly or lychee boba or fig jelly. The best part though is that you can customize all of your orders with different levels of sweetness! So it's never too sweet! Also, another cool thing is that they rotate through different cool new flavors like watermelon or passion fruit. Another cute thing is they have board games you can play too! It's a great place to hang with friends or bring your family! 10/10 would recommend:)

Love these guys! Staff is always friendly and drinks are always delicious. I'm honestly so glad they expanded into west Nash and I don't have to go out to their only other location in Germantown anymore haha. When you go, I highly recommend either their strawberry milk tea or the coconut milk tea: both are my favorites.

This is hands down the best boba in Nashville! Most places cook their tapioca pearls too much, to the point where they're just mush at the bottom of the cup. This place actually keeps the pearls mildly firm, which I love! Yin Yang is also an introvert's dream: you order on kiosks (with lots of customization options!) and there are barely ever other customers in the shop with you, even during lunch. They do only take card though, so keep that in mind. Overall, if you're in Nashville and looking for good boba, this is where you need to go! Definitely one of Nashville's hidden gems (I personally recommend the lavender milk tea. It sounds strange, but trust me!)

Sometimes i get boba from other places and they're too mushy or too hard but yin yang's are always the perfect consistency.

Sometimes setting yourself apart works - you know you can trust that you're consuming natural ingredients in every sip! I love a standard milk tea with tapioca pearls so the "tiger milk" is my go-to drink item here. The "thai tea" doesn't have any sweetened condensed milk like its authentic namesake, but I've come to enjoy the warmth of the spices accompanying the brown sugar simple syrup. Their matcha is great too! If you're in the mood for a quick snack, the mochi waffles and bun varieties never disappoint.

Eat Bubbles in particular has a QR code displayed prominently at the front counter to activate parking. The menu here is a little more advanced than the typical first generation American boba shop. They offer plenty of choices and allow sweetness and ice level adjustments. One thing I found to be nonobvious - all drinks under the "Fresh Brewed Teas" menu section are milk tea. They use lactose-free milk by default, which is a huge boon to people like me with lactose intolerance! Assam Milk Tea, Large, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($7) - This drink has an interesting milk tea flavor that is a bit of a departure from a standard Assam. Instead of a fruity finish, this tea has a bit of a malty overtone, more pleasingly brown and earthy. It's a very thick drink and feels more rich than what only adding milk would be able to do. I believe they brew tea each morning and then fill individual pitchers for service. 50% sweet is a bit too sweet for my tastes with the additional sugar from the boba. It's not cloying, however. The boba is overall strange and not in a good way. The pearls are very inconsistent in both size and texture. In all cases, the pearls have soft exteriors, some approaching mushy, while others are okay. The interiors range from being too hard to almost mushy. The sizing of the boba is also variable, from small pebbles, to larger spheres. The boba is marinated for a long time, however, giving a somewhat minerally or perhaps herbal quality to them. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating 3/5 There aren't too many boba shops in Nashville, so while I wasn't enthralled with the drink, I think it's probably good for the area.

It was an interesting restaurant as we walked in. The decor didn't come across as Chinese. I'm glad my daughter was familiar with the place because I would not have known to go to the back counter to order. I tried asking a couple things about the menu but could not understand the worker that well. It seemed that he couldn't understand me either because he initially put in the wrong orders -- my daughter caught it before we paid. Very reasonable prices. I ordered the Roast Duck Noodles with the Marinated Egg added. My daughter got her usual "Build a Bowl" of Chong Qing Broth, Sliced Noodles, Steak and Fried Egg. I thought I had ordered a Shrimp Wonton appetizer, but a bowl of soup arrived. After asking the worker about it, he just kept saying it was soup (I know), so I just left that alone. Overall quite delicious -- very authentic Chinese flavors. Excellent house made noodles. The depth of flavor in the broths was fantastic. The proteins were seasoned nicely and cooked well. The bok choy in my soup still had a nice bite. The fried egg was crispy on the edges and perfectly runny in the middle. Unfortunately, I found the marinated egg too salty. Service was minimal -- after ordering, the food comes out and that's it. If you need something, you have to get up to ask. No one checks in. The area wasn't busy when we arrived, so parking was very easy right in front. I'm told it does get tough during peak times. I would definitely return for the food, not the service.
