If you are looking for authentic Chinese noodles place, this is it. Family owned for a long time, their dishes are very flavorful. Price is affordable and portion is good. If you are looking for comfort authentic Chinese noodles, try this place!

    Chinese Pork Dumplingsdumplings

This place seems to be in a busy area. Only parking is on the street and you have to pay. When I walked in , it looks pretty run down. The pork dumplings were good. You can tell they make it from scratch and not the frozen ones. The takoyaki was good. Also makes from scratch. A bit crispy on the outside. I had the tomato broth with beef and wide noodles. The broth itself is a bit bland but some people like that. A bit pricy But food is decent.

From Top: Roast Pork Buns, Basil Fried Chicken, & Pork and Chives Dumplings. All were good.

Dumplings and Noodles, oh my! I visited for lunch and I'm glad I did. Atmosphere and service were ok, but the food was good and the prices were fair. I really enjoyed the flavor of the Spicy Sour Noodles. The broth was delicious and the soup was full of delicious components, including some perfectly cooked bok choy. The sweet potato glass noodles were super long and a bit difficult to manage, but they tasted great. Our table really enjoyed the Pork and Chives Dumplings and the Basil Fried Chicken that we all shared. The roast pork buns were good also. My friend really enjoyed his bowl of Steak Noodles. Come here expecting good food at fair prices and you won't be disappointed.

Meet Noodle is a hidden gem in Nashville, separating itself from other restaurants in the area by just being a street or two over. Very authentic and delicious noodles. Lots of options. Broth is tasty. Would highly recommend.

Steak Noodles, Bao, Dumplings, Spring Rolls

We just went to Meet Noodles for the first time and loved it! They have their own parking spots, such a perk on a pay street. I got the steak noodles, it's definitely a lightly flavored pallet for you to add onto. The spicy at the table is delicious, do it!! We got three apps, I loved the pork and chive dumpling most, the bao and spring rolls were good, too. Service was great. We'll be back!

    Pork Chop Cutlet Rice

Walked over to this restaurant. Nice tiled walls inside, seemed clean. A couple of booths well worn. Pork and chive dumplings were good, tasted handmade. Beef skewers were ok, very small and a little spicy. Beef soup broth was tasty and noodles were good, but portion was pretty small and beef bits were full of gristle. Pork cutlet was decent over rice, did not like the egg included. Service was indifferent at best.

The picture doesn't do it justice. The portions are HUGE. I had a build your own and it was a great deal. Their pickles (chinese mustard) are awesome. Our waitress was patient and helpful. They have 2 free parking spots in front of the restaurant. We also got the bao buns, but wished there was a bit more filling. Overall place is a great deal with authentic food. Will definitely be back.

I am a frequent visitor of this restaurant, as I often crave a warm and hearty bowl of Chinese beef noodle soup. To me, the best item on the menu by far is Zhou's beef noodle soup. Generous portion size with nicely marinated beef cuts and bok choy. The soup broth is very savory and delicious. Have ordered a few other things off the menu (basil fried chicken, tonkatsu, cold spicy chicken) and nothing has really hit the spot like the beef noodle soup. Seating is cozy, server is prompt, items are a bit pricey (ends up being about $20 per person per meal) for what they are. Overall a place that makes a few things really well, but not everything on the menu is as great!

Meet Noodles is located right next to Vanderbilt's campus and you will need to rely on street parking in this neighborhood. I came in about 30 mins before their closing time and they were kind enough to accommodate me! When I walked in, I noticed that it is a very casual place with students actually studying at multiple booths. I did a build my own with chongqing broth and noodles, ground pork, and bok choy. I do wish the broth had been more savory. I felt that it was lacking slight depth of flavor. However, once I put some chili oil in it, it tasted pretty good. The veggies, meat, and noodles were all cooked very well. This is a solid place if you have have soupy noodle craving!

Amazing place to eat with family or friends! I've been here so many times and every time it hits the spot. The vibe and the food are so comforting. My favorite is the Fish Ball and Wonton Noodles. Big portions and wonderful flavor. The staff are all super welcoming and engaging, too. This place is authentic Chinese food and I love it.

After having a fun time visiting the Parthenon and more at Centennial Park, I was ready for a late lunch. I did a search on Google Maps and got chains that I wasn't feeling. Instead, I did a search on Yelp and Meet Noodles came up. It was a hot, muggy day. Was I up to getting a piping hot bowl of noodles in soup with an excessive heat warning? Sure, why not? I was sweaty anyway, so might as well go for it. This Meet Noodles is across from a plaza with Bank of America and a dental clinic. Vanderbilt University is nearby. I actually parked near the dental clinic because the shade there was great to keep my car cool. I parked there and walked across the street to hit Meet Noodles. If it wasn't so hot, I would have parked in front of the eatery. All parking spots were available with no shade for your vehicles. There is patio seating on the veranda part of what looks like a converted house. I doubt that anyone wants to sit there under excessive heat. I didn't see a ramp for those requiring accessibility support. There are steps to get to and from the main entrance. I walked in and a nice man greeted me. I got a booth immediately. There were a couple of folks eating. It was nicely air-conditioned. I got the following items: - Shanghai pork buns (5) with dipping sauce - Steak noodles in soup - Peach fruit tea I asked for water and got iced water. My peach fruit tea also came. Both were icy cold, which I appreciated. The peach fruit tea had fixed sugar. It was sweet, but not overdone. It was perfect, refreshing, and delicious. My Shanghai pork buns arrived next. The buns were so cute. Each one was good. The pork filling was flavourful and had the right amount of juiciness in each bite. The exterior of each one was fluffy and perfect. These were the real deal. They were authentic and scrumptious. Likely to cater to western eaters, dipping sauce accompanied the buns. The sauce tasted like a boring sweet and sour sauce that had little flavour to it. I dipped once and left it alone. I recommend skipping this sauce. My bowl of steak noodles in soup came. It smelled incredible! Just having this bowl of noodles in front of me made me happy. The broth was flavourful with a bit of a spice kick. I loved the green onions in it. The steak was tender and perfect. It came with baby greens that were tender and provided a nice contrast, both in texture and colour. The noodles were excellent. They were chewy and fresh. I enjoyed this dish immensely. A female staff member, who likely was in the kitchen making my food, sat a couple of booths away from me to have lunch, too. It is a comfortable dining room. I paid with a credit card. I tipped and all was well. I didn't bring my USB C cable with me. I could have charged my phone as I ate. I liked that you had outlets to charge your phone and laptop at each booth. They were a nice touch. I used the washroom before leaving the restaurant. It was clean. There are two single-stall unisex washrooms. They are across from the payment counter. I thanked the nice man and left. I took my iced water with me. My tummy was content with excellent food. Yelpers aren't wrong. This place has authentic Chinese food. I still dream about that bowl of steak with noodles. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd return in a heartbeat. (282)

The bowls are large but it is only half filled.

Ask the Community - Meet Noodles

Does the restaurant still offer alternative noodle types like sweet potato or rice noodle?

Yes, we have 5 varieties. Chongqing noodles, rice, sweet potato, sliced, or instant noodles. Chongqing, sliced, and instant are all wheat noodles.

    How is the parking?

Limited in front of the restaurant. There is Parking in the street (bring quarters for the meter) or if you're there at night/weekend, you can park at the bank across the street.

Are they offering inside dining again?

    Yes they are.

    What should I order?

Start with basil fried chicken, then have any of the wonderful noodles with marinated eggs (my favorites are Kim's beef noodles, or zhou's beef noodles) , and top it off with sesame balls for dessert and pumpkin cake. 😊

    Is there a website?

Sort of. Menu posted but not much else.

Where's the best place to park?

You can easily park in front of the restaurant.

The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the tofu was browned to perfection. The grilled broccoli and cauliflower were snappy and contrasted well with the rest of the ingredients. The dish had a spicy yet tolerable kick to it, but I have a very high threshold for spice and heat (I added chili oil to take it up a notch!). Also, the portion size is BIG. I was very hungry so I had no issues finishing most of it, but it could easily be shared between two adults, especially if you order an appetizer or side. I do not consider myself to be a critic, or a foodie. I don't have a sophisticated pallet. I just love a great meal. Today's meal at Locust was nothing short of spectacular. The staff is always so warm and friendly. Most restaurants with white table cloths and prices we can't really afford, give me the feeling that I do not belong- no matter how I dress or how I talk, and I often end up feeling small. This is not Locust in the slightest and it is clearly on purpose. The chefs always bend/squat down at the table at eye level, explaining any questions you may have about the menu and giving great suggestions. As a guest here, I don't feel intense hierarchy here, and I don't feel a lick of condescension. It feels like they just want to share some truly delicious and special food with you. You, no matter who you are, are more than enough at Locust. The only thing on the menu we did not get was the caviar. We saved up for a year for this meal and every dish was wonderful. Every dish feels so lovingly thought out and intentional. Each one made me close my eyes and smile as the flavors and textures invited me to be present and here with this food, not thinking about anything else in life. My favorite dish came alongside our pillow-y potato bread with perfectly toasted exterior. This was the scallop and yellowtail with black currants. I took a bite of the scallop and lost myself in the gorgeous flavors while I chewed. Then, I felt my eyes well up. "Wait wait, what? Am I about to cry from how incredible this dish is? I can DO that? But I love food and I've never felt this before?" I panicked, trying to stop myself- embarrassed at the thought of crying in a restaurant full of people. Eventually, I realized I needed to go to the restroom to splash some cold water on my face and fix my notatallwaterproof mascara. I returned to the table and told my husband that I was worried about my crying and he said that a member of the staff checked in with him when I went to the bathroom and asked if I was alright and my husband explained the situation- joyful tears. For the rest of our meal different members of the staff would often relay stories of how people have had tears of happiness after eating certain dishes there. It was a compliment to them. Suddenly, I felt at ease. This is the first time that's happened to me, and it was their amazing food that did that. What a testament to the dishes they create and the environment they provide. Stunning. The food at Locust moved me. As did the staff. It is absolutely the best meal I have ever had. I hope whoever reads this will take the chance to experience that for themselves too.
