I recently moved into this area and I came here since it's the closest place to where I currently live, can say I will NOT be back, the almost $7 small cup of milk and brown sugar was not worth it, highly recommend going to Gongcha, Kungfu Tea, or any ramen place and the milk tea would be better. It was not busy at all, not a single customer in and they still got my order wrong, I repeated that I wanted NO ice 3xs and the guy still put ice in my cup. I visited WIN on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 7 pm. If I could describe WIN tea in one word, it would be "boring." Everything from the interior design and the menu is unimpressive. Most bubble tea chains personalize their shops and look welcoming so it is memorable to the brand, but WIN tea looked like they put no thought into designing the interior. There's a lot to be desired when it comes to aesthetics. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea with pudding. It tasted too milky and sweet that I could taste an artificial sweetness aftertaste. Service was friendly and good. Drinks were made in a timely manner. Overall, I think WIN could improve their menu and even work on personalizing their shop so people are more inclined to enjoy their drinks in shop instead of taking them to-go. Being that I moved to Nashville from California I definitely try and seek out places that remind me of my old stompin grounds. Bubble tea, milk tea or slushies all make me nostalgic for the Golden state. WIN Bubble Tea is located off of Nolensville Pike in South Nashville where all of the cultural cuisine can be found. It's in the same shopping center as Plaza Mariachi. They have a decent sized menu with all kinds of drinks so it was hard for me to decide what I wanted. I love bubble tea, but then again who doesn't? I used to live two streets up from this area and would walk to Plaza Mariachi once or twice a week for lunch or dinner and man I would have loved to have had this bubble tea Location available then. I was back in the area and saw the sign and decided to stop to check it out and get a milk tea with boba. They have a wide selection of bubble tea variations and other beverages to choose from and they will add the sugar and sweeteners as little or as much as you would like which is good because some places don't do that. My wife got the taro milk tea with boba (no sugar added) and I got the traditional Thai milk tea with boba. Both were very good and they put a lot of the tapioca Boba pearls in it. I have to go back to the area this Thursday and I will be stopping by around lunch to get my Thai milk tea fix. They are also opening to other locations in town one in Madison which will be close to where I live so I can't wait to be there all the time. read more

Stopped by to grab some boba for the ride home. Ordered the brown sugar milk tea with custard pudding. I saw how the drink was being made... he put the syrup on the bottom, added the custard pudding then added milk from a gallon of milk. I was waiting for him to stop to add the tea in it but nope. He filled it to the top and then sealed it. I asked if there was tea in this drink and he said, "No, there's no actual tea in the brown sugar milk TEA." I'm so confused. I tasted it, it's a sweetened milk for $5. I asked him if I could have something else and he said that would be fine. I asked for a Vietnamese coffee and he asked if I've had one before and I told him yes. The Vietnamese coffee I got was very watered down and does not pack the punch that you would get from a VN coffee. I just left with my drink and didn't ask for another replacement. read more

We visited WIN today to try some of their bubble teas, and I was really impressed! The customer service was great! I told the young women at the location that it was our first visit (I've had bubble tea before but not often and not exactly like this), and they were super helpful and walked us through the options and variations! I went with a fruit tea base - rose tea with lychee jelly and mango popping - which I loved. It was lighter than a milk tea, but still great as a dessert as I was craving something sweet after an umami-filled Korean meal in Antioch (that's another review!). I don't want to leave a bad review because the people who work here are kind and hard working, however, the 4 star review of this place will lead people to think that this boba is better than it really is. If you don't care whether boba is good or bad, and all you look for is a flavored drink and something to chew at the same time then this place is fine. Nashville's boba scene has a long way to go it seems. The boba here is overcooked and the tea isn't freshly brewed at all. Worst part of all is the amount they charge. I hate bringing down Viet-owned businesses. But as someone who drinks too much boba, I have to be honest. PARKING: WIN Bubble Tea is located in a shopping plaza with a big parking lot. So you won't have trouble finding parking at all. INTERIOR: I will give WIN Bubble Tea kudos for their modern-design. It's very up-to-date with the clean interior, gray tones, and colorful menu. Also, if your interested in some relaxation of the cannabis variety, WIN Bubble Tea can hook you up. DRINKS: I always order one milk tea and one fruit drink when it comes to evaluating a new-to-me boba shop. Sugar-level and ice-level is adjustable. + OOLONG MILK TEA with boba: WEAK TEA. The oolong in this tea is not aromatic at all. The texture of the tea is thin and doesn't have a heavy mouth-feel. Too watered-down and the taste is underwhelming. Add in the boba that is OVERCOOKED and I was not satisfied by the drink at all. The boba didn't have a qq texture and broke apart too easily. That signals to me that either the boba was sitting out too long, or the boba was kept boiling for too long. I'm assuming they don't make their own boba because the pearls are pretty uniform in shape. So the pre-made dried tapioca pearls were cooked for too long. + MANGO FRUIT TEA SLUSH with Rainbow Jelly: Since it was really hot, I decided to go for a slush instead of my usual plain mango fruit tea. The slush was refreshing, but I didn't get much flavor beyond sugary syrup. No fresh mango to be found here. Simply ice and mango syrup. This drink was much better than their oolong milk tea because you actually get a punch of fruity flavor. The rainbow jelly was good, kind of hard to mess up because it comes pre-made in containers. But again, not much tea to be found in this drink. PRICE: Competitive with what other boba shops charge, but at a lower quality. I think if they're going to serve boba reminiscent of the early 2000s, they should be charging early Lollicup prices. $1-2 less a much more accurate reflection of what they should be charging for the quality of their drinks. Overall: Don't think I will be coming again. If you really like boba and tea in general, this won't really satisfy seasoned bobaristas. If you're a boba novice and you'd like to try it out. I'd say stick to the fruitier "fun" flavors and jellies. read more

This is a great place to grab bubble tea! It's in a very convenient location right near Plaza Mariachi and there's plenty of parking here. Got there and called for my drink but I was told the tapioca wasn't ready until 10 minutes and I was fine with the wait. Need more boba spots! Need more diversity of places like this in Nashville! I've lived and have visited multiple places and I guess for Nashville not really being an immigrant melting pot city or lack of international influence, I can see how this is still a struggling type of business to have around but kids in school love places like this and there needs to be more that are accessible especially around schools and universities. So their concept here is you order your flavor and size you want, then you can put any toppings you want (boba, pudding, jelly) up to the line on the cup and then they add the drink. It's one of the few boba shops in town so support local where you can. The whole tiger sugar concept is catching on everywhere and they call it the brown sugar milk tea there. It's just tasty. So I really wanted to like this place. I went for the first time yesterday. I tried to order a few weeks ago but they called after I put the order in and they called to say they were out of tapioca balls (boba) so I cancelled my order. Yesterday I went in person and guess what? OUT OF BOBA!! Come on guys! You're a boba place! Make enough boba!!! Aside from that I tried the popping strawberry boba instead. WIN is a win in my book. I love this place. It is in the lively food court area of Plaza Mariachi. You walk up to the window, pick which tea you want, pay and they will hand you a cup. From there, you pick out which type of bubbles you want in your tea. I have never been to a place where you're able to put your own bubbles in which makes me very happy! You can pick from an array of flavors and at the end can add chocolate or whipped cream. I am pretty standard when it comes to my bubble tea. I like taro or lychee tea then passion fruit, lychee, or mango bubbles. I highly prefer milky teas and their options are delightful. It is full of flavor and delish. I feel at some point I will venture into other flavors, but why change something when it is perfect? Customer service is always friendly and they are always genuinely happy to see you. I like being appreciated and remembered as a customer. if you want that type of experience, WIN is the place. read more

This is probably the most decent place to get boba in the entire state of Tennessee. Not that it's saying much... Tennessee's boba game is depressing. Anyway, I tried my standard milk tea with boba order. The first time I got it, it was a solid drink. The next time I tried it, it was disgusting. So I can't tell if it depends on the employee that day making the drink that will depend on whether or not you get a decent drink. Regardless, it's inconsistent and that's a no-go in my book. I haven't been to the brick and mortar shop yet (mostly because I'm not sure if it's worth making a trip to south Nashville for subpar boba when I would honestly just rather wait until my next trip to a city that actually serves good boba), but when I visited the stand inside of Plaza Mariachi, they didn't serve ice with our drinks. Do you know how disgusting lukewarm milk tea is? Did the owners not think of that before deciding to ix-nay the ice? I'm also not a fan of "pour your own toppings" but that's a personal preference. The consistency of the boba is decent, so no complaints there. Nothing special, nothing "wow"-worthy, but not terrible. Not the best boba I've had, but thankfully not the worst. I'm getting tired of paying for and suffering with crappy boba in the greater Nashville area. I suppose if I have a seriously hardcore craving for milk tea boba, Win is a decent place to get that craving satisfied. But honestly? With the disappointing lack of good boba/bubble tea shops in this city, WIN is the only place I'll go for a milk tea fix within Nashville. Their classic milk tea is my go to. Tasty and fresh...it's so good. There's a self-serve toppings bar to mix any toppings you want! I find that other shops' milk tea tastes like straight whole milk with some sugar and honey, but this place actually has flavor to their drinks. It also doesn't taste powdery, and doesn't leave that awful aftertaste that some do. They've got a pretty big menu that consists of different types of drinks and food. Something for everyone! I haven't tried any of their seasonal drinks, but it's nice that they're always trying to incorporate new things into their menu. Grab a drink, grab a board game and chill!
