Loved this location! My family and I were quickly greeted, seated, and introduced to our server. He gave great suggestions and was very attentive too! Plenty of seating inside and love the booths. Great options on the menu. We ordered quickly and received our food honestly as fast. Barely felt like we waited. I had the 1/2 pound shrimp seafood boil with the boom seasoning combo. The boom seasoning is SO worth it! Literally the best. I got medium heat but probably could have gone for fire. Medium heat wasn't hot really at all, just enjoyable! The corn and potatoes smothered in the boiled seasoning was absolute heaven. Couldn't have been happier. The shrimp was fresh too! My fiancé had the lobster special and loved it. He had a combo of the crafty Cajun and buttery garlic seasonings. We enjoyed it but definitely loved my boom seasoning combo more. The seafood combo was fresh as well! I barely even saw the lobster tail as he devoured it so quickly. He also loved the sausage and said it was one of his favorite parts of the meal. Can't wait to go back to try some more options.

I try to check out seafood restaurants whenever I can. This one looked good. I like the beachy decorations inside. They had a big shark hanging from the roof and surfboards. The crab meat fries. Tasted good. The fries were seasoned fries. They had a good crunch. It did not have much crab. It came drizzled in a spicy, tasty sauce. It was good. The crab lover's special was a good size portion. We. Could choose the seasonings. It had corn, eggs, shrimp, sausages, and different types of crab. It was a good dish. I liked how they cooked the corn. It was not overcooked it was perfect. We both got full eating this dish for two and could not finish it. The service was great. They checked on us. The food was good. We got our money's worth. I enjoyed my time here.

Nice location, quick service, Diangelo(or D'Angelo) was attentive and friendly. Food was good and came out within 15mins of us sitting. It was a nice atmosphere. Wasn't a fan of the blue crabs. I've never had them before today. They taste pretty bland and are tougher than snow crabs. Definitely wouldn't have them again. They do have good deals though. So that's always nice.

Ordered delivery from Crafty Crab via Door Dash. Our order arrived quickly and the food was still hot. We all ordered boils with "The Boom" seasoning. Husband ordered his mild and the rest ordered medium. The seasoning was tasty and had just the amount of heat for me. 16 year old wanted more heat. I just ordered some snow crab legs and the rest got some combos. All of the seafood was good. The prices were very reasonable. It looks like this chain has opened up several in the area. Would try again when in the mood for crab boil.

    Mozzarella sticks and hushpuppies

Visited the Crafty Crab for the first time at the request of a birthday girl and were very impressed. The restaurant is doing an excellent job social distancing by only seating people at certain tables, all employees were in mask and I saw them wiping down menus. We ordered mozzarella sticks and hushpuppies to start. Both were good but pretty basic. Hushpuppies were served with cocktail sauce which was different. We ordered two boils and a fried basket. 1. 1/2 pound headless shrimp in the Boom sauce (which is a mix of all their sauces) medium. 2. 1/2 pound each of shrimp and snow crab legs in lemon pepper sauce medium. Basket was fried catfish with a side of potatoes. You get to pick a sauce for the potatoes with the basket too so we chose Boom medium again. The Boom sauce is amazing so make sure you give it a try. Lemon pepper was good too. Medium wasn't very spicy so probably a good choice if you don't want anything with much of a kick. The boils came with one corn and a few good sized potatoes. The catfish was tasty. Served thin and crispy and not overly greasy, it was great dipped in the boom sauce. Service was a little slow but they were pretty busy and the take out table probably had 10 orders when we first got there so they are doing well. Overall it was a good meal. We all agreed we be back.

I'm a HUGE fan of crab & being from Seattle, especially Dungeness crab! I visited this restaurant awhile back & had a great experience! Service was awesome & although I'm usually skeptical, the food & crab was very good & well worth the price. I had a craving for crab again & decided to revisit. Everything started out well. I ordered the pound of Dungeness crab like before, which comes with potatoes & corn on the cob, and drawn butter which tasted real last time. Today it tasted like the butter used for popcorn in a movie theater. The dinner comes in a steam bag. When I opened the bag, I only saw 1/2 of the crab. I asked the server if this was a pound or 1/2 pound. She confirmed that it was a pound. After pushing back the plastic bag, I then saw the other half but when I removed it, it was substantially smaller than the other half. So much so, that it was impossible to crack open & didn't yield hardly any crabmeat! Since I had waited for awhile just to get my order, I started eating. The server took awhile to return, but I pointed out the difference & she agreed the 2 halves were quite different in size. She said she would have the manager come to the table. Manager Joe, he said his name was, came to speak with me. I showed him the different sizes & he agreed they were different but equalled a pound. I told him there was no way (with nails & plastic gloves on) that I could open the smaller crab and that I wasn't going to eat it. I asked if he could offer a half a little larger or just charge me for a 1/2 lb. instead. He said there was nothing he could do since I had started eating the other half already. I told him that I waited, but it took too long for the server to come back, and for him to come to the table and that I still wasn't going to eat the smaller half. He said he could not refund or change the order. So I asked if he could at least offer a few larger legs to make it worthwhile to eat the rest. He said he would talk to the chef. What?! The chef is in charge?? He came back from kitchen with a very small pot & said the chef offered me some "broken" pieces. He said these broken pieces are what the employees eat! They still looked small but now broken!! He encouraged me to take them as compensation! I said, "I thought you were the manager, but it's the chef who's in charge? And you want to serve a paying customer what you serve your employees for free?? And defective or broken parts at that?!" He said it was the only thing he would offer. So I refused the broken crab & the smaller portion I was given. He refused to discount the meal. Needless to say, I will never return here or recommend it!! And Joe (if that's your name), sadly even your server was more sorry than you even acknowledged to me! She agreed that I should get what I paid for, no less! My suggestion is she should be promoted to manager as her customer service skills are far superior than yours! I have never heard in any restaurant, that the chef is in charge of customer service!! I don't know what happened or changed from my last visit, but this was one of the worst displays of customer service (or lack of), I've ever experienced!

Amazing service. Crafty crabs never fails me. Seasoning and spices are always on point and the seafood is fresh! This location is a bit smaller but same quality as their other locations. Food came out fast and our server was great (forgot her name).

bit into my mussel from the Crafty Crab in Sunrise,FL & found myself with a mouthful of tangled fishing line
    Max M.

paid $78 on a seafood boil takeout order only to bite into a mussel and find myself with a mouthful of tangled fishing line. It hurt my teeth and tongue and was probably the most disgusting food experience I've ever had... completely ruined my meal and appetite. I know it's not their fault but that's the reason for my 1 star rating. the only way I would consider updating this review and returning to this restaurant is if I'm compensated with a full refund or a free meal.

There were some customers there, but the place still felt very empty and honestly a bit boring. It was very quiet. There was music playing, but we could hardly hear it. The TVs were on, but with no sound, which didn't help the atmosphere. We were seated in the booth area where the other guests were. They had a 2-for-1 drink special, and the waitress was friendly and helpful. She let us know we didn't have to order the same drinks for the deal, which was nice. I ordered a passion fruit margarita, but it didn't taste like passion fruit at all. More tart than sweet. I didn't love the flavor, but I will say the bartender was definitely not stingy with the liquor. My friend ordered a Bahama Mama and had no complaints. I'm not a big seafood person, but I do love wings, and that's where Crafty Crab won me over. I ordered the 10 piece sweet chili wings, all flats, for $10.99, which alone is enough to bring me back. The wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful. My friends also enjoyed their lemon pepper wings and drinks. We originally came because we heard they used to have karaoke on Thursdays, which would have been perfect for the size of the venue. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she didn't know why they stopped. That's unfortunate because this place has so much potential. It's a large venue with good wings and cheap drinks, they're really just missing a vibe. Even playing music through the speakers would make a huge difference. Overall, I'd return for the wings and drink specials, but I hope they bring some energy back to the space. Based on this experience l'd give it a 3.5

As odd as it is to go during the day and have brunch, I would say it is the move. You pull into a plaza where everything else is closed except for this business and say hi to the security guard stationed at the entrance of the place---at 11 AM---to walk into a lounge beautifully decorated with green walls, floral accents and a disco ball. It is clear that the majority of patrons come much later in the day, like after 9 PM, to get bottle service listening to a DJ or any other performer. This would explain why the air conditioning was cranked so high, to accommodate the bodies and electricity that would pack the place much later. Our server didn't crack a smile but immediately brought us water after we asked and rounded back twice to take our order. Like I said, going during the day when there are only about 5 other parties dining seems to be the move for prompt service and food preparation. The dishes came out super hot and fresh. The Creole Seafood Omelette ($26) was chock full of well seasoned shrimp and lobster and cheese, with a creamy roux on the side that was good to occasionally dip a bite into but wasn't necessary all the time. The potatoes that came on the side were just the right amount of crispy while leaving some heartiness to them. The Fried Chicken and Waffles ($26) included flavorful fried chicken with breading that didn't quit when you tore it or cut into it. The cool part of this dish is the choice you have of the waffle it comes with. The Cookies and Cream Waffles should be your go-to. They were topped with the chocolate cookie sandwich crumbles and a great homemade vanilla icing. For a Lauderhill establishment in an area where you really don't know of anything else happening, this place is worth a venture out for your brunch. I'd go back to try the other items and drinks!

I was here at the Plantation location to attend this month's 4-course Martini Madness Dinner. The restaurant was packed for a Thursday evening. Servers greeted those in attendance, offering each person a glass of ice water and complimentary bread as we awaited the first course. Course one - Crab and avocado salad paired with Sparkling Cucumber Martini. The salad was a creamy mixture of avocado, lump crab, mango, and diced bell peppers on a bed of fresh spinach. Crispy tortilla chips was added for crunch. The martini was nice and light with a sparkling crisp taste. Course two - Scallop and shrimp scampi pasta paired with Lychee Martini. This was a very good dish. Nicely cooked shrimp and scallops tossed with all dente linguine in a light butter white wine sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed the lychee martini which was sweet and absolutely delicious. Course three - Mediterranean salmon paired with Island Breeze Martini. This was a filling dish. The salmon was nicely grilled and topped with sautéed spinach, feta cheese, diced tomatoes, and pickled onions; served with Jasmine rice and grilled asparagus. The martini was well-balanced with the vodka and various fruit juices (mango, passion fruit, and pineapple) without being overly sweet. Course four - Mixed berry mousse cake paired with Strawberry Rose Sidecar Martini. Moist, decadent cake layered with berry puree and coconut anglaise. In my opinion, the martini was too strong for a light dessert. It would have been best paired with a surf & turf dish. The whole event was well put together by the pleasant staff who made sure each transition between the courses ran smoothly and the removal of the empty dishes and glasses, as well as refilling the water glass was done in a timely manner. I look forward to attending another event soon.

Appetizers/Entrees __________________ +Nikkei Tiradito ($19) : 10/10 Thin tuna slices with a shouyu sauce that had a little citrusy kick. I could've had another plate just for myself. +Grilled Octopus ($20) : 8.4/10 This was good! Cooked well, had a nice char. Not my favorite thing on the table, but still strong comes with Peruvian corn and potato. +Arroz Chaufa Special ($24) : 10/10 Babyyy this dish was everything. Wok-fried rice, perfectly seasoned. That filet was so tender, and the shrimp just brought it all together. Easy standing ovation for me. * Dessert - I honestly can't remember what we ordered for dessert, but it was decent. Nothing crazy. I'd give it a 7/10. Overall Experience: 10/10 Customer Service: 10/10 Would I Be Back? Without a doubt. I even told my mom about this place and I think she went a couple months ago! This establishment has been Tamied™.

I would definitely recommend the poyoroki or the Lomo Saltado! Friendly waiter and staff, they told us about some fun events they have on weekends. Nice drink menu too with lots of options

So nasty the I didn't even get the boil because everything prior was bad. They have a waitress that needs to go into another profession. I will never go back , food was bad and the waitress and manager are equally bad. Extremely a waist of money.

From the start, we were promptly seated, and our waiter Mason was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and made sure she felt comfortable ordering. Having been to the North Lauderdale location before, we wanted to see how the Davie spot compared and it delivered. My sister had no idea what to expect, but she absolutely loved it. The fried shrimp came out crispy, flavorful, and not greasy, and the sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter were such a pleasant surprise. We also tried the crawfish, shrimp, and sausage in the Mr. & Mrs. Crab special sauce packed with flavor and consistent with what I've experienced at their other locations. Portions are generous, the vibe is relaxed, and my sister is already talking about her next seafood boil. There was one small hiccup we ordered extra corn and didn't receive it with the initial meal -- but the team was very apologetic, I wasn't charged, and it all worked out. The Davie location sits in a plaza, so parking is easy. The space feels open and spacious, and they even have an area planned for karaoke and private events. Overall, a fun, flavorful experience that I'd definitely recommend. Where food meets adventure, see you back at the table! IG: @shallonztable Review #1 - 2026
