Now the sides. The corn bread was perfect. The red velvet corn bread was a treat. The greens were good. The rice was soaked in gravy. The yams were way too sweet. The entrees were the standout. The chicken only comes in wings. Nevertheless, they were seasoned and fried well, had a light breading, and were meaty. The pork chops were moist and savory. The smothered dishes weren't really smothered and could have used some more gravy, which lacked onions. But that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying them. Dinner for 3 with 3 beverages, 3 entrees, 2 desserts, tax, and tip was about $110. We hope to return and try the catfish, the turkey, and the liver and onions. P.S. A small group came in while we were eating and one of the diners was vaping. Isn't that illegal in restaurants? I was hoping the management would stop him.
