I have to admit, part of the allure of going to this place is to be able to say you sat in and ate the Tasty G Spot. Giggity. As odd as it is to go during the day and have brunch, I would say it is the move. You pull into a plaza where everything else is closed except for this business and say hi to the security guard stationed at the entrance of the place---at 11 AM---to walk into a lounge beautifully decorated with green walls, floral accents and a disco ball. It is clear that the majority of patrons come much later in the day, like after 9 PM, to get bottle service listening to a DJ or any other performer. This would explain why the air conditioning was cranked so high, to accommodate the bodies and electricity that would pack the place much later. Our server didn't crack a smile but immediately brought us water after we asked and rounded back twice to take our order. Like I said, going during the day when there are only about 5 other parties dining seems to be the move for prompt service and food preparation. The dishes came out super hot and fresh. The Creole Seafood Omelette ($26) was chock full of well seasoned shrimp and lobster and cheese, with a creamy roux on the side that was good to occasionally dip a bite into but wasn't necessary all the time. The potatoes that came on the side were just the right amount of crispy while leaving some heartiness to them. The Fried Chicken and Waffles ($26) included flavorful fried chicken with breading that didn't quit when you tore it or cut into it. The cool part of this dish is the choice you have of the waffle it comes with. The Cookies and Cream Waffles should be your go-to. They were topped with the chocolate cookie sandwich crumbles and a great homemade vanilla icing. For a Lauderhill establishment in an area where you really don't know of anything else happening, this place is worth a venture out for your brunch. I recently visited Tasty G's and overall the food was delicious and very fresh. The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic and the atmosphere is very welcoming when you walk in, which made me excited to try it. I ordered the shrimp and grits and added Gouda cheese. The dish itself tasted great and the ingredients were clearly fresh. I also added a side order of toast, but it was brought out much later than the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, when it finally came out, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay. My main issue during the visit was with our server, Destiny. When I asked a question about my order because I didn't see the cheese (I later realized it was mixed in), her response came across as very rude and aggressive. I was simply asking for clarification, but her tone and delivery felt unnecessarily harsh. The food and ambiance were great, but customer service is a big part of the dining experience. Tasty G is definitely worth a visit! The food was absolutely delicious -- full of flavor and perfectly cooked. By far one of the best restaurants to go to in Lauderhill. Not only that but some of the best chicken wings ive had in a long time. The atmosphere was lively, and the music really set the tone for a fun, relaxed vibe. I actually went for a friend's birthday and they surprised her with a song and some cake. We all loved that! Definitely a place for a nice photo op as they have a designated area for you and your group to take pictures. I went for a birthday brunch and they allowed us to decorate the tables. It was a large party but our server was great her name was Mari. Our food came out in a timely manner. Hidden gem that you may miss driving by but once you're inside, it's like you're transported to a pretty forest garden. Very Instagramable decor and they have spots set up just for good photos. The staff is friendly and the food is good looking too. There's a full bar and a lot of good drink creations. They don't serve coffee though. Lemonade and juices are available. I tried the fried chicken and French toast. It was delicious. The chicken wings were lightly breaded, fried very crispy and seasoned well. The waffles tasted like the waffles you make in the waffle makers at hotels - but not the good hotels, it's like a best western vibe waffle. My friend said the fried pork chop was tuff, hard to cut through and chew. He enjoyed the grits but the eggs were too salty. Don't let the look of this place fool you because it's located inside a warehouse across from a car garage, but the food is amazing and so is the service. 2 sitting tables outside and 3 located inside, tight space, but immediately greeted once walking in. Well that was a very good idea. We walked in the place is definitely inviting don't judge it by the outside. Our waitress was Michelle she was very kind professional and patient. We asked her a couple of questions about the menu she knew exactly what we were talking about she was able to answer the questions with details. They do have a bar and it looks to be a full bar. The food was absolutely amazing everything we ordered was amazing. The portions were huge we each brought half of our food home. There was one thing that one of us ordered coffee and the coffee was cold but of course Michelle was right on top of it and she took care of it and was very apologetic. Beautiful establishment I will say, music volume is perfect. service was decent our waiter Latoya was amazing. seems as though no restaurants out here know how to make soft runny eggs so we had to the eggs because they came out hard fried. The catfish is not crispy and it was too fishy unfortunately we returned that also. The lobster is a bit salty considering it's already a salty meat shouldn't have to season it as much, we ordered a Mimosa pitcher in which the bartender gave us flat champagne so we had to return it, our waitress fixed it over and it was delicious. We were set at a table with a ceiling leak so we were moved. They didn't block the area off and turned around and sat more guest there which was awkward. Otherwise not a bad experience at all. It was close to noon when my brother and I arrived, and it was packed. People were standing waiting to order, some eating in their cars, 2 outside tables and 4-4 seater tables inside. We were prepared to order and go due to limited seating, but as luck would have it, we snagged a table when a family of 4 were leaving. My brother ordered the red velvet waffles and wings$20 and I ordered the salmon bites, cheesey grits and eggs with a side of the house potatoes $40. Tasty G is the epitome of a hidden gem, the food was seasoned to perfection. The service was warm and inviting. Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast. Giving this place a 4-star because it didn't have proper flatware, glasses for drinks and the ice machine was broken. The new spot is well designed and then environment and ambiance had a lot of thought put into it. I went around 9/10 am so we were seated right away and the service was good. It's a Grand Reopening I'm not expecting perfection like a restaurant that's been there for years so I took it a grain of salt.
