Wow - what a fantastic little restaurant tucked away in Sister Bay! The menu is small, but it was delicious. We went for breakfast after facing extraordinarily long waits at other restaurants down the Main Street, and were able to sit down and order quickly. It seems like a one-man operation, and the owner/chef was incredibly personable and made absolutely fantastic food. I ordered the green chili and biscuit breakfast (a play on biscuits and gravy) and it was truly outstanding - the chili was everything I would ever want on a cold day. This place is a joke and we ended up there fooled by the stellar reviews. I have never seen such a sloppy, almost disgusting kitchen in a public food place. A single, very disorganized individual, digging into random pots and pants in a greasy stove. He was wiping his hands on the back of his pants, throwing food in weird containers for to go, and tossing them into plastic bags saved from various trips to the grocery stores. Customers are charged in advance without any information how long they will wait (40 minutes). 70% of the displayed menu is not available, no bacon for breakfast! The biscuit-egg sandwich from our order was literally an egg bite with a drooping flap on top, assuming the egg, for $8!!!!! My green chili had slimy consistency and tasted like saw dust. It is unbelievable that a hole like that got permits to operate with customers. Everything with that place is so wrong read more

What a great cup of coffee! Staff and owner were wonderful, so friendly and welcoming. Everything was fully explained. What a treat the breakfast sandwich was. Located in Sister Bay just next to and down from On Deck, this is an amazing spot to grab breakfast or lunch. We started with the biscuit basket which had some great strawberry preserves and the biscuits had the perfect blend of crisp exterior and buttery soft interior. Things got even better with the addition of sausage gravy as well as when the biscuits were used for a chicken pot pie dish. Rounding things out with a breakfast sandwich with soft scrambled eggs and delicious ham and don't miss out on the hash browns which are freshly shredded and crisp. Such a friendly, clean little place -- definitely worth the walk past On Deck to where their sale room used to be. There are nice outside tables and a few inside tables as well. On the owner's recommendation, we tried the pulled pork sandwiches with sides of the Apple-Kale salad and the Watermelon salad. The sandwiches were simple, pleasing to the eye, and filling, with tender pulled pork and a fresh, lightly-dressed slaw of cabbage, carrot, celery, and cucumber. The buttermilk biscuit was perfect; the gluten free sweet potato biscuit was lovely but needed salt. We will definitely go back to try something else. I also appreciate that their kid's menu has "buttered noodles" -- my 2-year old granddaughter's favorite food. :) read more
