We were looking at a tree we really liked, and an employee immediately came over and gave us some great tips about that particular plant. He gave some other useful recommendations as well. We ended up getting a variety of annuals for some of our flower pots and two big bags of soil. When we checked out at the counter, they asked what car we drove and explained that an employee will meet us in the parking lot to load up the heavy bags of soil for us. I will definitely be back!

Regardless, I appreciate that they have a great selection of plants, and I particularly love shopping their small plants selection. They have a pretty solid batch of what's in season for a more affordable price, and I've had much better luck raising them as opposed to their bigger plants. The staff is knowledgeable and efficient. They also have workshops and plenty of supplies, so it's a nice one-stop shop (and I'm trying to keep this review separate from their restaurant). Their pots selection is also generally good, although they can be just as seasonal as the plants. Overall, I recommend checking out Bowood Farms, if not just for the nice little stroll.

This place had a very big selection and we were helped by a very friendly fellow named Bradley. He was happy to explain the different types of Christmas trees and even volunteered that he chose a specific type of tree with less prickly needles because he has a one-year-old at home. I have a baby too so I appreciated the insight and it's honestly something I hadn't even thought about. I also appreciated that they bell and loaded the tree onto your vehicle for you. Definitely recommend this place. Might not be as romantic as going out to cut your own tree, but I like the efficiency and the price was right.
