I can't say enough about how happy we were to see Tim from Cramer Towing show up! We had a hub break and lost our tire on a trailer we were towing that was loaded down with a few motorcycles and a mule. Long long story short after dealing with a different towing company that left me and my family on the side of HWY 50 after we had been stranded for four hours.... stating that they couldn't tow our trailer and motos and would only take our empty trailer back to Fallon because of legality reasons ( He left us with the everything else on the side of the road. ) Shortly after Tim arrived and towed what we needed and we were informed that their was no legality issues regarding towing our bikes. So happy for Cramer Automotive and Tim who was polite and very helpful. update: This post was originally written in June of 2018 and I thought it got posted but just saw it never did. Very disappointing customer service. I called to ask about getting help with a flat tire, and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and was yelling at me. I was simply trying to get information and find help, not asking for a favor. I understand that businesses can be busy, but there is no reason to speak to a customer that way. I would expect much better professionalism . read more

Cramer is on the AAA list to do towing. AAA is a 24 hour service for towing. My car broke down two days ago 9:00 at night. I turned it in to AAA and they contacted Cramer to tow it. I received a call from someone at Cramer. The guy didn't want to come out to my house to tow it giving all kinds of excuses why he wouldn't pick the vehicle up. One of which was security!! I and my Wife are in our 70's and we need a vehicle. AAA is a 24 hour service Cramer is not honoring their objectives. AAA sent another dispatch to Cramer and they refused to pick the vehicle up. Be very aware of this company. If you are stuck on the road and the driver doesn't want for whatever reason you're not going to get a tow. read more

We are lucky to have a high quality service business like this in our small town. They treat their customers well and provide good service at a reasonable price. I am very lucky in that I have not had need of their services before this. My son has been a regular customer with them and I now know why.I was treated very well by everyone from the friendly voice on the phone to the quick and professional service. I recently needed to use their service when my car suddenly died and I could not get it to start. They sent out a tow truck, but were able to get the car started by jumping the battery. After I drove over to their garage, they said they suspected it was just an old battery that would need to be replaced but that they would check out the rest of the electrical system to see if there were other concerns. A few hours later they called back and sid it was just a dead battery and they replaced it and the car was ready and did I need a ride to come pick it up? They were able to convenience my schedule and came to my work to pick me up. The car was done and cleaned and ready to go. Cramers has been around for a long time and I hope they will continue to stick around for a long time to come. It is nice to know where there are not a lot of choices read more

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! My mom and I broke down in our vehicle just 5 miles outside of Yerington, NV. A spot with no cell service to call for help and we were completely lost. Luckily, an off duty officer was driving by and kindly helped us get to Cramer Automotive where we explained our situation. They immediately acted and helped us get towed. They called a motel near by for us to stay for the night. Promptly in the morning our car was looked at and advised to go to the dealership in Reno because of ECM issues. They kindly towed us to Reno where we got everything else figured out. The service was prompt and they put us before others because of our situation. They helped us so much and got us in the right direction. We couldn't be more grateful for their kindness and efforts. The hospitality shown will not go unnoticed. Thank you! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Tow truck driver caused body damage on our vehicle and they lied trying to deny our claim. I feel bad that it took me so long to write this review but it is very important that I do. We have AAA so when we broke down we called for a tow. AAA sent a driver from Cramer. The tow truck driver was very nice and friendly, however he damaged our truck while trying to load it onto the flatbed. We warned the driver that the wheel was going to fall off as soon as he started moving the truck but he still tried to load it an easier way. Subsequently, the wheel did come off and was trapped up under the wheel well and caused body damage and bent our running boards. The driver then ended up placing 2x4 wood pads under the hub to slide the truck up onto the bed. (The way it should have been done the first time). THANKFULLY, I recognized there was going to be a problem so I was video tapping with my phone the whole time. I contacted AAA to make a damage report and they told me that we should go directly through Cramer to deal with getting our damages repaired. I could go on and on but we contacted Cramer several times getting the run around. Cindy (who I later learned is the owner and/or wife of) was so rude to me on the phone, raised her voice at me, and hung up on me. After Cindy hung up the phone on me, I decided that we had to contact AAA again. CRAMER DENIED ANY FAULT to AAA (unbelievable!). I had to send all of the photos and video to AAA as proof and thankfully, AAA came through for us and sent us a check to make the repairs. $2,038.00. In addition to that damage to our truck, we had to wait over an hour for the tow truck to arrive. The driver told us that he was trying to get the air conditioning fixed AGAIN. He said that they had just fixed it but it broke again. So even though we waited an hour for arrival, the A/C still was not fixed. Our two dogs, us, and the driver then had to drive two hours to Reno in 108 degree heat (after already waiting 1hour). My original thought was "unfortunate, but stuff happens". Then I realized that Cramer Automotive is actually an auto repair facility and they were the ones that couldn't fix their own vehicle!!! Yikes. I could go into so much more detail but bottom line is Cramer Automotive is not a good tow truck company OR auto repair company based on my experience. Also....... they certainly do not care about their customers or reputation. They are located in a small town so maybe there is not a lot of competition for them to be concerned about. I purposefully did not use the tow truck drivers name but it appears he still works there, which I'm glad to hear. It does however lead me to assume that AAA is the one who ended up losing the $2, 038.00, rather than Cramer fessing up and taking responsibility. read more

Truck went in I told them the problem I just wanted to pay somebody to change front wheel baring and pay for it rather than just do it at home easy fix. Took it in on a Thursday said it would be done Friday. got a call they said part wont be in until Monday, I said ok. I said ill come get it for the weekend if I can find a ride on Friday. I Never picked up my truck. Tuesday stopped in because I did not hear anything back and they never even ordered the part. I took the truck to another local place to get the work done on that Tuesday. While at that shop i noticed cramer automtive had dented my rear bumper while checking in my truck at the new place. Its a small town and the new place is less than 5 min away. I called several times and emailed with no response from Cramer Automotive. I will never take my truck here again and would never recommend it to anybody else. read more

Broke down 4 miles North of Yerington. The tow truck was there in less than a 1/2 hour after I called.Darrel , the driver was professional,courteous, and helpful.He left me and my truck at the repair shop which will open inthe morning. The owner came promptly to tow our broken down RV and was able to diagnose and repair the problem within minutes! Honest and effective!

I think that honesty is a rare quality when it comes to mechanics but Robert @ Cramers told me what I needed to get back on the road & what I didn't need. He could have made himself a lot more money by padding the invoice, but he chose to give it to me straight. I highly recommend this shop if you are in need in Yerington, Nevada or if you need a tow - i will definitely use Cramers for all my future oil changes and basic car needs. A++!! read more

I had a blowout on my RV and was about 20 miles from any service area. The owner of Cramer Automotive and Tow responded on a Sunday. He is a terrific individual, not only changed the tire, but found I actually had two blown tires. He switched tires around, made my vehicle driveable and advised me to call if I couldn't make it the 20 miles, which I did. read more

I am thankful to have found Cramer Automotive to help us tow our truck off a slippery wet mud/clay road near the Desert Creek campground area. The truck was going to slide off the road over a steep drop off to what could have been major damage and their professional team came to the rescue. They knew what it would take to rescue a truck with cab over camper in this remote location with less than ideal conditions since it had just rained. We have been going to Cramer's for many years and always reasonable labor costs and honest service. Recently had new ball joints installed on my Dodge Ram 2500 and excellent work and good price for labor. I heard a clunking noise before taking my truck in and wondered what it was. They discovered same clunking noise and said my U-joint was bad. They also replaced U-joint at a good price for parts and labor. Front end can now be aligned and clunking noise is gone. I recommend Cramer's to anyone who needs service in the Yerington area. And, they have an excellent 24 hour tow service. read more
