The low stars is not a reflection on the B&B as much as the location. My husband and I had a wonderful time for the one night we were there and did enjoy the walking proximity to downtown Melbourne, but the train. Ugh!!! 7 trains went through in the middle of the night and the train tracks are so close that you not only hear the whistle, but the entire train as it goes by on the tracks. Sleep was not good. The food was basic continental style, the bed was ok, the atmosphere by the canal and their pool was beautiful. I highly recommend grabbing food from Seafood station nearby and bringing it back to the picnic table to eat by the water. Enjoy the atmosphere, but be aware that the train is not under their control. read more

Stayed for 4 nights in the Manatee Suite during son's Florida Tech orientation & could not have been more pleased. This is such a quaint hidden gem of an oasis - peaceful, private water views yet in the most convenient of locations. It's right around the corner from the Historic Downtown Melbourne district, beach is just over the bridge & less than 2 miles to campus. Thoughtful, colorful decor + a host of amenities: private pool, kayaks, fishing rods, hammocks, Adirondack chairs, covered picnic tables, flattop grill & more. Tremendous value! read more

Alas, my 500th review & this will without a doubt be a 5 star review. Crane creek inn is a relaxing B&B located in Melbourne, FL. This was our first time visiting the area, & we are so glad we found a new area that we love. Things to love: Cozy beautiful beach decor throughout the home. Melbourne room has a king sized bed & is there only pet friendly room. Private outside patio w nice grassy area. Nice creek water view. Refreshing pool that looks out to the water. Oh our favorite is night swimming, then laying down on the comfy two person lounge chair looking at the stars and feeling the perfect breeze. Private breakfast on our patio while our dog catches his ball in the grass. Breakfast is wonderful w an option of eggs, pancakes, omelet, french toast, choice of breakfast meat, toast, juice and tea. So many things to love here. We definitely relaxed here. We also checked out several local beaches which were very nice. Nearby downtown melbourne is a cute small downtown area w shops and restaurants and bars. Cocoa beach is not far either. We have had a wonderful time here and we thank the owners Andy and barbie very much. We will be back and recommend others to check this place out too. read more

Had an incredible stay here! Clean and you feel very safe as a single traveller. Weather did not cooperate but the pool looks inviting. Good solid breakfast and you are literally one block from the center of town. Recommend whole heartedly!! read more

My wife and I came here for two nights. Everything was excellent! Andy, the owner of the B&B, did a great job accommodating us and making us feel welcome. He even cooked our breakfast himself both mornings and it was cooked perfectly. Our room had everything we needed: TV, DVD player, private bathroom, shower with two shower heads. In the common area: Coffee, water, beer, wine, snacks, a huge selection of books and DVDs. Outside: Pool, hot tub, hammock. If I come back to Melbourne, I'm definitely staying here. read more

This has to be the best B&B we've ever stayed in! We have only been to Melbourne twice, but both times we have stayed here and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Andy and Bambi are such nice people and so accommodating. The place is very clean, well maintained, very laid back and relaxing. Breakfast is made to order and fabulous. Really can't say enough nice things about this B&B, it's a gem and so close to downtown and a quick drive to the beach. I do need to mention the view, you can sit and enjoy watching the birds and manatees for hours in the sun and looking out over the water. We arrived late from our Orlando flight but that didn't bother the innkeepers at all. We stepped into the beautiful old home with their detailed instructions: they couldn't have made it any easier. We loved our room and the distant train whistle. We sat on what turned out to be a pretty private deck and listened to the rain and watched the squirrels. Breakfast was very pleasantly made-to-order (good luck finding that in any other B&B) and was very good. We loved the waterfront setting and friendly service. We would certainly recommend and return. read more

Inn is beautifully decorated, rooms are very well appointed and themed. A central coffee bar and wine and beer area makes refreshments available to guests. A hidden jewel of a place to stay for couples or singles who are wishing to get away from the Rat Race. This Bed and Breakfast is a awesome place to stay at. Andy and Bambi the owners take great care of you. This inn is just a minutes walk from downtown Melbourne, where you can go to several different restaurants of different flavors, pubs and unique stores. They even have a Hooka Bar near by if your in to that. We will surely visit this place again. read more

I absolutely love this place. My husband and I go to Florida every March for spring training. We've now stayed at Crane Creek Inn 3 times, and because if it we're sad to see our team moving cities next season! The location is great -- walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops, and a short drive to the beach. Eating breakfast on a porch overlooking the water is about as relaxing as it gets, and Andy's breakfasts are awesome! Along with breakfast and great views, a heated pool and clean, comfy rooms, there is wine, beer, sodas and bottled water available for guests at any time. Grabbing a glass of wine while sitting outside watching the pelicans and manatee sure beats overpriced drinks at a hotel bar. We're already trying to figure out how to make a detour through Melbourne when the Nationals move to West Palm Beach, just to stay at Crane Creek Inn. read more

I had to spend the night in Melbourne following LASIK eye surgery. The historic downtown is right there and a pleasant walk. I was amazed as to how many restaurants were within a short walk. The owner even have me a ride back after my surgery. Even though I didn't spend much time there I can say the inside is very updated and my room and bathroom were immaculate. The beach is a short drive. I hope to make a full weekend some day at the Crane Creek Inn! read more

Our stay at Crane Creek Inn was wonderful! Andy could not have been a better host, and his made-to-order breakfast was deelish!
