    Swimming pool!

The Oceanique continues to live on on A1A, nestled beachfront to Indian Harbour Beach. You can't miss the place with two main buildings featuring a rust, dark orange color, amidst a sea of white / cream colored buildings. The Oceanique is a vacation rental locale. The majority of guests are there through time share and/or week long vacation rental. The great thing about that is: you can stay at the Oceanique and be amongst guests who have a great fondness for the place, respect the establishment, and have been coming to the Oceanique - in some cases - for decades! The property sits right along a nice stretch of beach, not too far but comfortably far enough way from the public beach. The property and its pool is safe and protected. The Oceanique's pool is a respectable size with a deep end about 6'5" so younger kids can safely cannonball in. There is also a large clubhouse with staff on hand from the traditional 9-5. And I will say, one of the things I love about this property is that it is quiet but right next to a LOT of things to do - Walmart for vacation needs, downtown Melbourne, 13 miles from Cocoa Beach, liquor stores, ice cream shops, etc. LAST - and maybe most IMPORTANT- the Oceanique seems to be one the last and most affordable places. The down side of the Oceanique is that it is an aging property. I stay at a lot of time share / vacation rental spots and this property is by FAR one of the most dated! The TV's in the room are incredibly small, the Wi Fi is NOT great AT ALL, the property has NO events, programs for kids, the furniture, appliances, cabinets are all dated. And the beds in the guest rooms are not beds.... there "souped up" COTS! I can go on and on about the reality needing a million dollars into updating it.... BUT! It's a great place. It's conveniently located, it's small, all amenities are there though dated, the views of the ocean are killer, and since it is an older property the rooms are still very LARGE! So though I can easily give this property a 3 star, I will give it 4.

Great little beachside resort. Nice, big, clean suites with an ocean view. Friendly staff and only 24 suites. There's a potluck each week and other events where you can get to know your neighbors... or, you can always just go off on your own. The only real downside is the road noise from SR A1A.

The beach area is nice because of the location the beach is quieter than other areas.

It was one of the best reunions we've ever had and having the beach across the street was perfect. You have kayaks and paddle boards to use and it really felt like we were right at home

A few small things to consider- do not expect world class paddle boards, there is one SUP paddle that functions and two old paddle boards- kayaks seemed ok. The walk to the beach does require crossing a busy road, but once there it IS a nice beach, but you must bring all your own gear, including beach towels. There are not any beach rental chairs, etc. nearby. The wifi did not seem to work for us, the fan in the spare bedroom had a short apparently so my first night trying to sleep, it got up to 78 degrees in the room as we could not adjust the temp on the thermostat, the couch is not comfortable, the streaming buffered, so it took a couple hours to get that to work, there is a neighboring house with a large dog barking and although they warn you, I find it strange for the nightly price ($336/night!) to offer a small soap and shampoo. There is a washer, no dryer. The blankets were thin, beds were decent and the place was clean. There are no screens on any of the windows so you can't really get fresh air and there was a wasp nest above our bathroom window so definitely didn't want to leave a window ajar while showering. There is a "no refund" policy, so you are stuck there as we had wanted to check out after our first of two nights. There are not any walkable restaurants nearby. We were offered a couple of free nights to make up for all the mishaps we had. All in all, there were nice chairs and solitude by their water's edge. I could see a family enjoying the grounds and playing the outdoor games they had, but for us it was a letdown for the price. I think some people would be perfectly happy here but we had a lot of stress upon check-in and so many things not working properly.

The rooms have clearly been updated while still keeping some of the original décor, which gives it a bit of charm. I had a partial ocean view from my balcony and it was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breeze. The kitchen is small but worked great for my needs. There's no oven, but it does have a two-burner stove, microwave, sink for dishes, and about a 3/4-size fridge. It was stocked with all the dishes and utensils you'd need to cook a simple meal. Overall, it was comfortable, practical, and a great stay. I'll definitely be coming back.

Nice tub and sink/mirror area outside the bathroom. Our room was on the third floor so no balcony or patio like rooms on the first and second floors (there were sliding doors to get fresh air) with a great view of the ocean and sunrises. They provide beach chair and towels. They have a nice pool with plenty of lounge chairs and tables, but no hot tub. They also have a party room with a kitchen, tables, chairs, couches, bathrooms, games and books. There is an ice machine and a bbq grill area too. Our room had two TVs and free wifi. No "do not disturb" sign, so the maids woke me up almost every morning. They left clean towels and tp/Kleenex but never made the bed or did the dishes. They cleaned the bathroom though. There are good restaurants and shops nearby. Lots of shells on the beach. Plenty of large parking spots. Friendly employees.
