Hot springs were amazing especially at night! Accommodations were underwhelming for the price we paid. Service sufficient but not the friendliest!

Excellent hot springs - love the large naturalistic yet comfy ( plenty of seating ledges) as well as a modern shower house/ changing areas a few steps away.. enjoyed our waterfront cabin- it was tiny but worked well for us - probably have to book a lodge room for full ADA suitability though ( as bathrooms are separate)... there's a little cook house and a large common room that is toasty and well appointed. Also good to know that it is very dog friendly with plenty of hiking opportunities (although I'd want to have a party large enough to take turns dog sitting while swapping out soaking in the hot springs )... As late nighters, the 24/7 accessibility was key, really enjoyed having this flexibility- will do this again!

If you are looking for seclusion and rejuvenation in Eastern Oregon, Crane Hot Springs has you covered. One of my favorite semi-rustic retreats in the Pacific Northwest, with its natural hot springs, picturesque surroundings, and welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder that Crane Hot Springs has surged in popularity in the last several years. This is definitely one of my happy places. Surrounded by expansive fields and distant mountains, the resort exudes a sense of tranquility without being pretentious. Whether you're coming for a day of relaxation or a weekend adventure, there are accommodations and services suited for every budget. In fact, they have day passes for the main soaking pond, and everything from tent camping to a fully-appointed three bedroom house to rent. Visitors come from all over the world to experience a variety of amazing hot springs in the pacific northwest. The unique geothermal springs are rich in minerals, soothe aching muscles, and provide therapeutic properties for a host of health ailments. The geothermal waters at Crane Hot Springs flow into a series of well-designed pools, each offering a unique experience. The primary pond is expansive, holding over 300,000 gallons of water and spanning an area of almost 10,000 square feet. The space is large enough to afford pockets of varying temperatures, depending upon how close you swim to the water sources. Whether you like your water body temperature, or scalding hot... there's something for everyone. The resort also offers private tubs in small bath houses, as well as tubs in some of the private accomodations. Keep in mind, most of the accommodations here are somewhat rustic. You'll find a bed, a chair, and a nightstand in most rooms. There are few private bathrooms, and one communal kitchen for most everyone to share. There is a commons area with internet, a television, and a small gift shop with very limited groceries and sundries. Visitors should come prepared with supplies and groceries, as there are limited options available in the small town of Burns nearby. I find the seclusion adds to the charm of this remote resort, and provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. If you're looking to relax and unwind in the peaceful embrace of nature, Crane Hot Springs is an excellent choice. Just make sure you book your reservation well in advance, they seem to be getting more and more popular these days.

There's a lot of good to say about the hot springs. The pool and experience maybe deserve 5 stars, but a couple of things would really makes this spectacular experience. The great - The pool. It's is nicer than the pictures capture. Concrete edges and a sloped to about 5' deep center and clean fine-crush gravel make the experience very relaxing. It's busy in the evening, but by 9pm (end of Sept) only the late evening adults were relaxing around the pool. A warming wood fire was running on the north side of the pool, and the sloped gravel made it an easy walk right out to the fire. The water is the perfect 'stay in as long as you want' temp across the entire pool. The hottest spots in the pool were wide and easy to find, unlike some developed pools where one has to find the hot pipe under the water. The pool is open 24 hours a day. Amazing! So nice to be able to dip and dine and late night dip again under the stars. More Great - the services. 24 hour warm bathrooms and showers available. A kitchen area where guests can cook or just bring dishes to clean. A separate relaxing room. Cozy, warm and coffee already made in the morning! The good - bathrooms and changing rooms Changing rooms are spacious and close to the pool. The men's and women's bathrooms and showers are also close to the pool on a safe-for-bare-feet surface. Bathrooms and showers are cleaned hourly from morning through late evening, making for a good experience. The reason they're not great is that the rooms are appropriate for the "Oregon Outback" - nothing fancy. More good - staff training. The reason this only gets a good is that I made a couple of calls asking about filling an RV fresh water tank on site, since we didn't have an RV spot. If the staff had just said, "We have all the bathrooms, showers, cooking and cleaning you'll need", the problem would have been solved. The check in process was smooth and the staff took the time to talk through the amenities with each group as they checked in. Staff was professional and helpful at every interaction. Gravel overflow camping gets a 'good' because a lack of space reservation made for a bit of negotiating with people who had set out chairs to 'reserve' some space. The Other than that, parking on the top of the hill gives great morning and evening views - see the pics taken from our spot. The Meh - RV services for those without an RV spot. No fresh water fill up or dump on-site, without RV hookup. Since the hot springs are a long ride for most visitors, this would be a great addition. A short drive down the road to the Crane Store and Cafe solved this problem. Finally - Moving vehicle traffic behind the buildings would open the whole center of the hot springs to a pedestrian paradise. I'm surprised there are almost no trees to provide some shade in the summer months. We'll be back.

We absolutely loved our time at Crane Hot Springs and can't wait to return! So peaceful and relaxing, we stayed in the spring for hours a couple times a day! Bring noodles for floating, or they do sell them in the little store. There's picnic tables for day use, a kitchen to use and so much space you'll never feel cramped. The bathrooms are clean and maintained throughout the day. If you come for overnight, there's a ton of parking, some teepees to rent and some cabins as well. We were in an RV so I don't have any experience with those. The teepees do have their own soaking pools. The staff isn't super outgoing and friendly, other than the one camp host, they pretty much do their job and keep to themselves. Would have liked to feel a little more welcomed but nonetheless it's an amazing stop and a must visit!

So we heard about the Crane Hot Springs on Instagram. On an Oregon roadtrip we decided to spend a couple of nights. TBH it was better than I expected. We stayed in the trailer they have set up for rent. One of the reasons we did is it has its own bathroom and is dog friendly. Check in was easy and the staff even walked me out for a quick tour. We settled in then went to the pool. It is really nice. The is a large pool (more like a small pond). It has concrete around part of it and benches built in to relax. There is a kids pool and an adult only hot tub. They have plenty of changing rooms and showers. We never had to wait for either. It is true many of the lodging rooms do not have private restrooms but you can get them. It is more like glamping. The pool is open 24 hrs a day for guests staying at the resort. While we were there every member of the staff were courteous and friendly. They were always around cleaning and maintaining the area. In fact one person was scrubbing the concrete by hand in the pool. We will definitely be back. This place is great

We came here for our baby moon and it was amazing! Miles from stuff and beautiful. It was amazing to sit outside in the quiet we loved every moment wish we would have stayed longer. Staff was helpful and polite. Will be coming back!

This was a stop on our 10 day road trip. We stayed 2 nights in the honeymoon cabin room. We had a great time during our stay! The private tub on our rooms patio was an awesome bonus. Several people that were camping, and in the teepees, asked to see our room and they all loved the patio. There were quite a few bugs that would congregate on the outside furniture and fall in the water in the evening but a few shakes to get them off towels and a few scoops to save them from drowning and they minded their own business. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. We were comfy in the AC too. Robes & towels were provided for us to use. The outside soaking pool was nice and relaxing but if you venture to the cooler areas of the water you'll start to feel little nips/bites from bugs in the water. The warmer the water, the less bugs. Let's be real, this is a warm pool of water & lodging in the middle of the desert. If you think it's going to be bug, dirt and critter free this is not the place for you to visit. If you want a relaxing stay with a hot spring to unwind in, come stay here. The staff is super friendly and gave us some tips on where to find things in the nearby town. They seem to be busy working all day to keep the place nice and running. We probably won't venture over this way again anytime soon but we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a fun place to stay with a natural hot spring.

We had a relaxing visit at the Hot Springs! We'll totally come back and stay. We stayed in our trailer in the newer RV sites, Coyote Flats. We had full hookups, lots of room to pull straight through and plenty of space between sites. The cabins were booked a few weeks in advance so book early! No problem getting rv sites.

The tipis with the hot pool in em' are great. We definitely enjoyed our experience here. My only suggestion is adding lamps in the tipis.

This place seemed completely vacant; without a car in the lot or a person in sight; the reason became apparent when a woman emerged from the office, standing in the door, in her 'housecoat', she watched me sitting in my car, were I was wondering if I should take a chance on the only motel with clear vacancies. I decided it looked like a really bad idea- broken windows, not another soul around, no review of any kind anywhere, that housecoat- maybe it wasn't even open. I began backing out of my parking spot, and the woman started yelling at me, "That's right, bitch! And don't come back! We ain't a f*cking parking lot." Yep. Was glad I got out of there when I did. I bet they didn't even have free coffee or wi-fi!

DO NOT STAY HERE…read more TLDR: Disgusting, bad service, owner lied to me, plus pool was empty. I had such a bad experience, we left without staying the night; not only will I never stay at this hotel, I will never stay at another Wyndham hotel. This was absolutely disgusting. I arrived around 10:30pm after having made a reservation two days earlier. When I arrived, there were three separate groups in the tiny lobby. They told me they had all made reservations but that upon arrival, no rooms were ready. Now, ostensibly, a hotel worker was cleaning the rooms. Everybody has been told the rooms "were already clean; they just need fresh towels." They said a hotel worker had disappeared ten minutes prior, leaving them alone in the lobby. After I had been standing around for another five minutes, a man showed up and got stuff moving... sort of. Everybody kept getting told that the rooms were all clean "they just need fresh towels." Meanwhile an (apparent?) hotel employee was wheeling dirty bedsheets around without a shirt on. When it got to my room, I was told that the system had erroneously put me in a room that hadn't been cleaned but that they had clean rooms so I would just be moved, No problem. Ok, I say, let's go to the room then. Dude keeps stringing me along, engaging me in conversation, I'm guessing to keep me from going to the room. Dude (who claims to be the chain owner's son, down from Canada) tells me that since the first employee is busy, he'll go get another employee. So another dude shows up, REEKING of weed, heads to clean my room. When we finally get to the room, we are knocked over by the smell of chemicals. The two men are in the bathroom, still cleaning. The bed is made but not in a way that would have passed an inspection. When I scoff, the owner says that this is one of the nicer rooms they have, freshly remodeled. I tell him that he's clearly been lying to us, which is what I was saying all along. Part of the problem here is that the guy was a somewhat convincing liar. I mean if the situation hadn't been so GLARINGLY bad, according to his face and tone, I might believe that he was telling the truth. He was a likable guy. Among his lies, he told me multiple times that he had already inspected the room and taken photos of it, even. Now the employees were "just mopping the floor"??? At one point an employee comes out with the shower curtain balled up and says to the other, "we're going to need a new shower curtain." Wtf was happening in the shower that the curtain needs REPLACED at 11pm, and how would this room have passed inspection earlier in the day? Some other guests popped out of their room to complain and said their room smells like Raid and its full of giant, flying bugs. I look in my room and sure enough, at least a dozen huge flying bugs are there in the first four feet of the room. I don't even mind bugs but this was overwhelming. Those folks also said that one of their beds didn't have a top sheet. We took our stuff inside the room and continued to wait while the employees cleaned but we couldn't even breathe in there it was so nauseating. So after waiting for 45 minutes at this point, we just packed up our stuff and left. Another funny detail was a sign that said all pets must be on leash but a big, shaggy, dirty dog with no collar wandering around seemingly without a human. Dog was also in the breakfast area. To top it all off, the pool was completely drained. This property DOES NOT MATCH ITS PHOTOS! Do not book here!
