He communicated well, responded quickly, and showed up on time. Unfortunately, similar to many firewood companies in Santa Barbara, they don't know cord measurements. The price quoted for a 1/4 cord was actually 4x4 - which is only a 1/4 if the logs are 2' long. They are not 2' long nor do you commonly see logs that are 2' long. This misconception is common in this area and I've dealt with a few other people who think the same thing. Once we came to an agreement on the actual wood size, I gladly paid a little bit more to get the proper 1/4 size that I needed, and they quickly delivered it and stacked it for a small fee. Unfortunately, the wood was not ready to burn. It was very wet - burning the wood resulted in an hour of sizzling over a gas starter before it would ignite and each time a new log was added it sounded like boiling water. Jeremy was friendly when I let him know offered a few ideas on how to dry it out... After Kyle finished I mentioned to him that I think he shorted me. I have 2 four foot racks with one side 36 inches inches high, and the other 40 inches. Neither rack reached the top of the sides. Kyle's response was he loaded a 1/2 cord and that's what you got. The next day I measured each stack and sent the photos to Kyle. His response was, I will drop off 30 pieces of wood on your driveway, but I will never stack your wood again. He also stated that I'm the only customer to watch him stack, which he indicated was weird. My response was, what's wrong with someone watching you stack, unless you are going to deceive the customer. So buyer beware, because you may not get what you paid for.

The 50+ year old juniper trees were trimmed cleanly and with care, leaving them healthy and well-shaped. The work was completed in one day and for the agreed price, and the entire area was cleaned of all the loose branches and needles, and finally cleared with a low volume electric blower.
