They came to fix a leak on our green belt, (which I don't even believe has been fixed since it's continually wet still) and left a big muddy mess right outside my house. I have asked four times to have this cleaned up. Now they say they won't fix it unless I go through the management company. The management company doesn't pay them. The homeowners pay them. I think they forget that. Their guys left the mess and their guys need to come clean it up and it shouldn't need to go through the management company who takes weeks to do anything in order to come fix the mess that they left. read more

They cut down my tree without any notice. Supposedly it had a disease, however they didn't tell the homeowner and chopped it down anyways. It only needed one dead branch cut off. I'm waiting for them to reseed my front yard after 6 months. Instead they keep mowing the weeds. They could care less! read more

Horrible dishonest company. I want to give this company NO STARS! We paid in advance for the services for our trees that they were to procede. My husband had to call them 4 times to find out when they were coming out to do the work order for fertilizing our trees and citrus trees. They finally came out. Our trees are still having problems! After 1 week of completing the work order we then got a statement to pay. Mind you we prepaid in advance prior to them getting the work order done. My husband called them to tell them that we had paid prior to them coming out. The woman says ok she found the receipt and to disregard the statement. Can you believe almost 1 year had past and they tried to pull a fast on us. They sent another bill indicating "Payment is Past Due or Will be sent to Collections." My husband called and spoke to possibly the same woman and mentioned to her that these services had been done almost 1 year and that he had resolved this billing issue with her before. He told her that he could not believe that they had sent us a bill for work that was paid for and the work that was done for almost 1 year ago. She says in her records she didn't have the invoice indicating that it was paid. Good thing he had wrote a check. He told her the check number and the date when it was cleared with them and told her to get her records straight. What kind of business are they running when they send a bill for services done almost 1 year ago and didn't have any track records for payment received (in advance prior to work done.) We will never call this company again! They are very DISHONEST, will try to rip you off within 1 year from the date your work order was done. If you plan to use this dishonest company deal with this company at your own RISK. read more

Showscapes is the company that my apartment complex uses for landscaping. I reached out to my apartment management about some concerns I had about too much leaf blower noise, and that leaves were being blown onto porches and in the street. Our flowering pear tree in the front yard needed pruning. Jerry came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate. We were given a three hour window when to expect the crew to arrive. I live in Ventura and have used Treescapes for several years now, mainly to do an annual trimming of my bamboo but also for occasional feeding and care for several large Palm trees. I have always been completely satisfied with their service. The crew shows up on time, does an excellent job in the yard, and performs a full clean up afterwards. They are trustworthy, after I let them in the backyard I leave for the day and never have had a problem. Their price is middle of the road, certainly not the cheapest in town but not the most expensive either. When they bill for the services performed, the amount is always accurate and does not exceed the estimate. They also have a Certified Arboritist (sp?) on staff. I give them 5 stars. read more

I first used Treescapes in 2009 and was very happy with the company and their work! I met with Jerry and was very impressed by his knowledge and was confident that this was the company I wanted to work with. My family and I moved from our Simi Valley house in 2012, but continue to own and rent it out. I used them again twice with our tenants there and was at ease knowing that they would do a wonderful job for the family, especially since I am now living out of state. We were hoping to have them out again this past Fall to have the same work done as prior years, shaping and pruning a large Olive Tree and taking six Italian Cypress Trees down to roof height, or stumps possibly. They came out to do the estimate for the Olive Tree and taking the Cypress Trees down to roof height, no problem. I received the estimate and then called to ask if they could let me know how much more it would cost to take those Cypress Trees all the way down to stumps. The man I spoke to at the office said Jose (he did the estimate) would have to get that figure to me, but he was out of town. I waited, gave it plenty of time but never heard back. I then called about it several times, and finally an email from Brittany came in with the figure I needed while I was on the phone with them. I wasn't too confident how much thought was put into that number but was going to go ahead and have them do the work for me. I called back to let them know I wanted to set up a time for the work to be done. I was told I had to talk to Brittany, and that she would call me back. Again, I never heard from her and called several times again. I left a message directly on her extension, but no call back. I was told once that she was swamped (though she was always out of the office when I called) but was assured I was high on her list. It was clear at this point she had no desire to get in touch with me, so sadly I gave up on them after so many years. Excellent service and company. We are new to the area. We had multiple bids on our tree removal project and Jerry was the most professional & knowledgeable arborist that we had met. We had a total of 7 very large trees, roots and all removed. These were trees that had been growing for nearly 25 years. One tree was a 40' Eucalyptus. It was a 2 day project at our home and his crew was very professional and hard working. At the end of each day my yard was spotless of all tree trimmings and leaves. The majority of the trees removed were in difficult places like too close to the foundation of my home or near hardscape/block walls. No hardscape was damaged during the removal. We had one pipe break on the tree removal project and Jerry's crew had another crew out in a matter of 15 minuets to fix the broken pipe. I was just wowed by how quickly & safely they got the job done. We also had other trees pruned and had a tree replanted by his team. His crew is so good at what they do that when you go look at the area where a massive tree used to be, you don't see anything. The stump is gone, the hole filled in and soil raked out. Wow. You can tell this is a company that has been around for a while, they know their stuff and we are so happy that we chose Treescapes for the job. I scheduled someone to come out and give us a quote last week. They had our information from doing work on our trees years ago. I gave the person my cell number, but on the day they were supposed to come out, no one showed in the scheduled time. When I called the company, I found out that they used my old and no longer in service home phone that they had on file to try to reach me and let me know they were running behind. I understood, gave my cell number again, and was told they would be there between 2:30-3:30. I told them I would be home until 6. At 5:30, no call and no show. I called the office and got the voicemail since they had already closed. I left a message with my number and told them that I was disappointed not to have at least received a call but I would still consider setting up another time. This was a week ago, and no return call to date. I guess they don't need my business. Too bad. I recall them being reasonably priced from years ago. I would probably have used them again. read more

Cannot comment on quality of work since they never showed up! Customer service is horrible. I had to contact them twice to get the work scheduled after returning the signed quote. Then left a message when the assigned person never arrived to perform the work. Company did not reply to that message. I had to call them next business day and ask that they rescind my agreement to have them perform work and ask for confirming email. i live in sycamore villas in ventura , the other day this company was working close to my house , one of the workers was spraying the trees, i asked him what kind of tree was he spraying , he didn't know the name of the tree , what the heck? he told me that it was a oleander tree , but it really was a chitalpa tree . what kind of company has workers that doesn't even know the name of the trees , i was so disappointed after talking with this guy (juan ). i asked juan if he had a licence to do this kind of job and he said "no" , how its possible that this company let people work without a license or at least an orientation, so they know what are they doing . i will never recommend this company to any of my friends , specially after talking with this guy (juan).. so disappointed .. read more
