We had the most incredible experience at Cranial Technologies during our daughter Blake's six-month journey with the DOC Band. From our very first visit, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness from the entire team -- Kristin, Ziaya, Lauren, and Taylor made us feel like family. Their genuine care, positivity, and attentiveness made every appointment something we actually looked forward to. Kristin, the physical therapist, is truly a gem and an incredible asset to the company. Her knowledge, professionalism, and gentle approach helped make the process completely painless for both Blake and us as parents. She always took the time to answer our questions thoroughly and made sure we felt informed and supported every step of the way. The team's dedication, expertise, and heartfelt care helped Blake achieve amazing results, and we couldn't be more grateful. My first impression of Cranial Technologies was quite pleasant. The first technician I had we did not see again after the first visit. Bummer. The office is very clean, but I realized they were always empty. However as each visit went on I became less pleased. My daughter definitely needed a helmet but I would advise going elsewhere. This office is shady, unreliable, and unwilling to admit to any mistakes. Each time the timeframe my daughter would be in a helmet changed. Towards the end it was mentioned my daughter might need a second helmet. Which she didn't. We were informed insurance wouldn't pay for it. We provided our insurance information upfront and it was verified. We were told insurance is expected to assist 50% which was $1,100 and our portion was the other remaining $1,100. The patient portion has to be paid in full before starting - no payment plans as the treatment is being done. However, months later they were sending bills to our old address. Somehow we managed to get our final notice before being sent to collections stating we owe almost $800 more. Not once did I receive a call, text, email. Nothing. I spoke to a representative that said a lot of mom and dads get upset because they don't reach out. Maybe change your billing system if a lot of people are upset. You clearly suck at quoting and communicating. I understand insurance quotes are an estimate - BUT I spoke to insurance said they verified the wrong patient. They verified my benefits instead of my child. My deductible was met and my child was not. I called and spoke to MANY reps at Cranial Technologies. I got transferred to billing, insurance, managers and somehow each of them said, "this is out of my hands let me transfer you". I spoke to someone that had proof they verified correctly and it was sent to me. The screenshot clearly shows they verified me as I'm the subscriber NOT my child. I spoke to many reps and not a one will admit they made a mistake and will write their wrongs. Everyone - except Tracy was incredibly rude, EVERY SINGLE time. I'm still being threatened to be sent to collections for someone else's mistake. I was told, "I'm sorry you feel this was incorrect and shouldn't be your responsibility. If you chose to ignore it you can deal with it through collections" You can set up a payment plan with Crainal Technologies but they only allow 2 payments. That's it. It's quite frustrating that it seemed they tried getting extra money off a second helmet that we did not feel she needed. Then threatening collections and not reaching out to inform me of such a hefty balance. Then force you to pay it in 2 installments. Save your time money and effort. This facility is ridiculous. Zero customer service. Rude. Intentionally shady. Go elsewhere, please. read more

If you, like me, get told your sweet little baby has a crooked head and should get it fixed, you might be confused. How can this perfect little dude's head not be perfect? He's sweet and to me, there's nothing wrong- maybe that little flat spot isn't a big deal. But after talking to our pediatrician and getting referred to Cranial Technologies for imaging, even I had to admit that compared to a "normal" shaped head, my little man had some big differences that a Doc Band helmet would hopefully correct. We decided to put a helmet on our baby, even though brain functioning shouldn't be affected by a misshapen head. The biggest driver for me was being told that his head wouldn't be fully protected when he's older with "normal" sports helmets, and I'd rather know that he won't fall off his bike and get seriously hurt because his head doesn't fit right in a helmet. It's an emotional decision, but Cranial Technologies treated both me and my baby with the utmost respect throughout the whole process. They gave me the information I needed to make an informed decision, and helped put me in touch with support groups and resources to make the transition as easy as possible. They also take charge on getting insurance approval and filing appeals as necessary. The fitting rooms and main waiting room are also kid friendly, with lots of toys and stationary toys to keep your little ones happy during weekly visits. My little dude thinks coming here is the best thing and really enjoys playing with new toys in a new space, which makes the process easier on me! Park in garage 5 and take the sky bridge over to the towers, and you'll find Cranial Technology on floor 22, ste 2205- right around the corner after exiting the elevator. Easy in and out again makes coming here for our weekly adjustments as painless as possible. We have a few more weeks left on our Doc Band, but there's been visible improvement in the first few weeks of having the helmet. The entire process so far has been easy, stress-free, and I'm glad that we made the decision to use Cranial Technology. read more

Please think twice before deciding where to get a helmet for your little one, especially from this place. My baby got a helmet from this place, we finished treatment on mid September, I have not received any final report. On every single check up I always tell the technician that I am not happy with the way her head shape turn out, it has a ridge even after we completed treat. On our last treatment, the technician just tell us to keep wearing it for another 2 weeks and take off at home, and I received a "graduation letter" at check out. As of today I have not received the final report which actually dont matter anymore because her head is still flat and has a strange spot like a line in the middle of her head. I had a wonderful experience at Cranial Technologies! Both of our twins needed a band so it was definitely a commitment, but the staff at this location are wonderful and accommodated all of our needs. When our clinician Carolyn (who we loved) moved to the Woodlands location, we worked with Edie and she was amazing. She was honest, encouraging, and helpful. As for the head progress, we couldn't be happier! If you want to get a consult for your baby, do it sooner rather than later (we started at four months when growth was more rapid), and ask for Edie! I have waited to post this review, as we have had a rollercoaster experience with our baby having a helmet, and now that my baby is almost graduating from his helmet I am happy to give this place a 5 star review! First off, putting a helmet on your baby is very emotional, I don't care who you are. Additionally, your baby will start off with a rough nights sleep, along with several heat rashes that look gnarly and seem untreatable. I assure you that this is VERY temporary and almost all babies with the helmet go through this at first, and by week two this whole helmet thing will be as regular and thoughtless as brushing your teeth! PLEASE do not blame rashes and sleepless nights on Cranial Technologies, just follow their directions and the 2 or 3 "bad" days will be over soon. I want to give a shout out to Carolyn, the technician that I have had the best experience with! She is so sweet to my baby, and reassures me when I have crazy negative thoughts. She has been right all the time, and I am so happy she stuck by my side during this experience. We are graduating early from his helmet, because I followed all of their tips and rules! We couldn't be happier with the result. It was worth every rollercoaster experience... just have faith, stick it out, and ask specifically for Carolyn if you are as worried as I was!!
