I'd give zero stars if possible. My husband and I had a terrible experience with service king Georgetown. The staff was friendly but in no way accountable & were very sloppy. To give some background, I have an interlock device in my car & I got into an accident so I needed my car service & my insurance chose Service King. In order to have my car worked on, it was understood that a "Mechanic Bypass Request" would have to be filled out & sent to the Interlock Device Company in order for them to disable the device & prevent the car from locking out. That was all completed & the woman at Service King assured me that her mechanics had previous experience working on interlock devices. They had no problem calling the company & getting it disabled to do the necessary repairs. When the mechanic was finished with my car he drove it to the pickup spot in the front then proceeded to put everything back together by reconnecting the device instead of calling the company to have them walk him through special process. He then shut off the car & had them call me for pickup WITHOUT actually checking to see if the CAR turned on! I get there with my husband & infant, & there's obviously an issue so I call LifeSafer (the interlock company). So now they are giving me directions but the device wouldn't even turn on, & I explained to them that the mechanic put it back together. Well since he didn't follow the directions, it was done improperly, resulting in the lockout of my vehicle. When this happens I am unable to drive it the car. It has to be TOWED to the nearest interlock device service provider & recalibrated. That's $160 of my own money to have my car towed plus money to have the device fixed! Not to mention, I also have to submit a receipt/report to the court/state that proves my car was being worked on by a mechanic which resulted in the lockout on the report, & not that I was failing to take the breathalyzer test. This whole experience has been very time consuming and frustrating. I ended up going to Service King 3-4 times trying to resolve the issue. The woman at the desk seemed so helpful at first but when the issues arose she became so defensive. At first when we were leaving she asked us to take the survey & begged us for a 10 score because apparently anything lower gets them a bad mark which I felt was very unprofessional telling a customer that. She then sent her mechanic to go look at the car while I was on the phone with the device company & he was messing around with it still! Having zero knowledge of the device, she immediately took no accountability & said it wasn't her mechanics/Service King's fault because he put it back the same way, even though the company told him on the phone SPECIFICALLY that he needs to call them back for reinstallation instructions. It was very upsetting that they didn't try to do more or offer to help when it was clearly their fault! Even if you're dealing with a customer & it ends up not being your company's fault, you still shouldn't point that out. It's so unprofessional, especially when she was in the wrong! The experience took an extra week to figure out plus $200+ straight from my pocket! I do NOT recommend this company! Their customer service sucks & they are rude to their customers without taking accountability. They skip corners & when it falls back on them, they deny it! Getting into an accident is already stressful enough, especially when you have a special device in your car that needs precise handling and care. Never Again!!! read more

Bad service! Don't trust them, check all before you leave!!! Geico paid for all my car fix, it was ~$12K. After my last week service in Toyota, they told me that they saw my battery car and it is not Toyota branded + it is not in good shape and I will need to replace it in ~1year from now. Service King Collision placed old/used battery in my car although Geico paid for a new Toyota battery!!! ++ Still have problems after they fixed my car... read more

I went there to see if I could get an appointment and told them that I did not get treated we'll by one of the customer service on the phone and the conversation did not go well. I was ask what was said and that it was none of there business. They kelp asking wanting to know what was said. Again I said it was between me and the other person on the phone. The other person in the office said I have an attitude. I did not have one until then. I mention that my dog is in the hospital and the women made a rude comment about my dog. That made me even madder and my voice got higher. Once I left I contacted State Farm and told them that the women was very rude to me and my very sick dog. I will never go there again and told State Farm that they should not use them if that how they treat customers. I will also tell my insurance company about how they treat customers. This claim would never have happened if I was not hit my a State Farm customer. read more

I have been remiss on an update. The painter and body man are awesome! If you go there; make sure same gentlemen are employed for paint jobs and body work. My husband measured and measured and the hood was put on perfectly! The paint matched exactly. You cannot tell where original mazda paint and new paint meet. I have washed and washed my car and no dullness or change in the paint job. If, same paint and body employees are at Service King here in Georgetown...Great, great job!!!! Finally, after purchasing this mazda in 2015 and enjoying it with not problems! Oh! I almost forgot. The after market headlight assembly the geico rep tried to put in my mazda wouldn't fit. haha So, I have honest to goodness mazda headlight assembly. My mazda is just a little bit of a mutt. haha read more

My vehicle was not ready on time even after picking up my vehicle a day later than the completion date. This caused my vehicle to not be cleaned properly. I received no apology which is what upset me the most and they were not very friendly. I will not be returning. read more

Excellent customer Service, the way it should be and used to be from the drop off with Sawyer to the pick up with Keith! The whole gang helped me with every aspect with insurance and car rental, the repair- and texted me along the way- SEAMLESS service, my experience w SK could not have been any better! Fabulous job, Oh I forgot did I say my car looks great??? So good I will be back just to clean up a few dings and things with a super fast estimate from Keith. This repair has been a nightmare. I should have trusted my instinct and just used my dealership. Instead I went with one of the "preferred" providers my insurance company recommends for the convenience of not having to act as the middleman between the collision repair shop and the insurance company. Huge mistake. It started out easy enough, I made an appointment for an appraisal and everything was prompt and to the point. The appraiser, who would be my claim rep for the shop, did the appraisal, entered it into the system and gave me and the insurance company the estimate. He said it would be a few weeks before they could get it into the shop for repairs, but since this was just for hail damage and the vehicle was drivable, I didn't mind. I made my appointment for the second week of June. In June I bring the vehicle in and I'm given an estimated completion date of 5 to 8 business days. No problem as I would have it back in plenty of time to go on our planned family vacation the weekend of July 4th. Later that week I get a call from my repair rep saying they can't get the dents out of the hood and they need to order another. Fortunately there is one available locally but it's going to add a couple days to the repair. I state that's fine, I just need it back by the weekend of the 4th. A few days later I get another call stating that the dents in the roof can't be removed and they need to order and install a new roof. This part, unfortunately, is not available locally and will need to be shipped in. The roof won't be received in time to do the repairs before the weekend of the 4th, but fortunately the body repairs have been completed and the hood hadn't been replaced yet. The plan was to get the roof in while I was out on vacation, have it and the hood painted and ready to install when I got back and when I brought it back in it would be moved to the front of the queue and a few days later all would be repaired. I know they said day and not months, but so far it's been about two months since I brought the vehicle in for repairs. When I brought it back in I was assured again that it would only be a few days to get it back. After four days I called to check the status as I hadn't heard anything. I was told by my rep they had it in the shop and were working on it, it was just taking longer than anticipated. No details, just taking longer. The next week goes by and I don't hear anything. I call the following week and am assured they are working on it. My rep isn't there but it has a promise date of that Wednesday. I call Thursday when I still haven't heard anything and I'm told they are still working on it. I have my wife go up there to talk to the manager as I'm at work and can't make it that day, but I want answers. This is the last week of July and when she goes in and speaks with my rep, who again assures her the truck is in the shop and in pieces being worked on, she asks him to show her. He takes her to the shop first, but then takes her out to the back of the shop where the vehicles not being worked on are parked. Nothing had been done to my vehicle. At this point the rep promises to have the vehicle moved to the front of the line to keep my wife from speaking with the manager and did offer to cover the rental car charges we had been accruing. Over two weeks later and I'm still without a vehicle. There still hasn't been any communication without me calling in or dropping in. The online tracker is showing that my car is being looked at and they will order any parts they need once the inspection is complete. The finish date listed shows the current date every day that I check. This has been a horrible inconvenience and experience. I cannot recommend this place at all. No communication, broken promises and outright lies. I will update this when I finally get my vehicle back. *UPDATE* The general manager reached out to me and we had a conversation about my experiences with Service King. He was apologetic and stated that he would work to remedy the situation so that this doesn't happen in the future. He also talked with me briefly when I came in to pick up my vehicle. Yes, I have it back. I bumped up the review one star due to the manager reaching out and having the conversation. I sincerely hope that they can improve their communications process so this scenario doesn't play out again. read more

I took my car in to this Service King in March during COVID. Waited 5 weeks to have my car fixed instead the 5 days on the contract. Totally understandable. My bumper disengaged in June. I called Gretchen. No problem they'll order a new bumper but could I wait bringing it in since they were overwhelmed with hail damage repairs. No problem. I called them back July 1. Took it in. Pick it up after several days & was told by Gretchen to be careful how I was parking because there was "damage" under the bumper. I had to take it in an additional two times due to the bumper failing. My last visit there I took it in on a Tuesday expecting it to be there a day or two. I had to call them on Friday for an update. Still not done. My spouse picked my car up the next week. I drove it to work & back the next day and the bumper had failed again and the wheel base on my right side was disengaging from the car also. Sloppy work. Each time I took it in after July the attitude I got from Gretchen was that I had done something wrong. I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone. read more

Worst experience.....I took my car there because I thought they would be trustworthy and do a great job because my husband works with them regularly for his job. Boy was I wrong. From zero communication to returning my car without completing the repairs it has been a nightmare. Oh, they also "repaired" something that wasn't broken then charged it to my insurance and said "hopefully insurance will cover it"! Umm excuse me, since when do you replace a part that wasn't broken and then try to charge me for it???? I will NEVER use them again!!! Do yourself a favor and find another collision shop!! What a horrible experience. I can not believe that USAA would even recommend these guys. It started off with dropping my car off that needed repair into the Georgetown location. The rental through Enterprise was also a horrible experience, needless to say. We were able to get a rental. A day into it we received a call that the repair was much worse than they realized. We understood, it happens. When they quoted USAA, I guess they never took off the front end to actually get an estimate. So two weeks go by the estimated time of pick up keeps going a day then another day then another. We have a smoky rental so, were good. They finally tell us it is ready. We go pick it up and that evening the transmission light comes on, which it had never done before we took it and after my accident. NO LIGHT WHAT SO EVER. We call them and they say, "oh it looks like we shorted you transmission fluid." They are in Georgetown so we ask if we could drop it off in the Leander location because they are closer and our schedule is slammed with kids, work etc. So we do so. The Leander location was nice, clean and helped us do that ( complete opposite of the Georgetown location). We take our car. Guess, what that afternoon light comes on again. At this point and time we, of course like everyone else are so busy and have so much on our plate we have to go back again and see what is wrong. At this time we decide to take it to the dealership to see if they can help. Keep in mind the car had its tags on it when the accident occurred so...... it's not like the car had any issues before. They tell us there is something wrong with the transmission and it's not the fluid. We are frantic to contact Service King because we need a working car. We try to call Service King all morning. NO answer, nothing. There phones were down at this time so my husband and I have to drive there before we pick up our daughter at school. We again end up at the Leander location because they are the only ones who can help us. After dropping it off on a Friday (Memorial Day weekend) we hear back on a Tuesdays saying..... we put more transmission fluid in it WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It is now Thursday and they realized there is something wrong with it. They are having our dealer fix it and send a kind letter letting us know that once again USAA will be billed for the repair of something that did not exist before.
