We stayed two nights in a partial RV site. (Water and electricity.). The park was not busy at all. It was June 11 & 12. Cute little resort. Had all the amenities we needed. However, I was surprised there was no central sanitary dump as I assumed and most reputable camp grounds that offer RV sites always have a dump station regardless of individual site connections. You should know that if you need to dump your RV tanks and reserve a partial hookup site, they will charge you $20 to use one of the full hookup sites sanitary dump. If those full hookup sites are full you are shit out of luck. Also know the laundry facility is $10 for the room key. Machines are no cost (if they work). So do as many loads as you can. Bathrooms are relatively clean. Expect to wait a while if the park is full as there is only one shower. Opps! Beware of charges to your credit card. There are many review comments abroad about this facility potentially scamming customers with faulty or dishonest charges without their permission. Check and double check your current and pending charges on your card (before and after) leaving the resort. Websites can be deceiving: Resort website says Crater Lake is 7 -8 miles (not correct) from resort as well as 30 minutes. It's actually approx. 22 miles. Not a big deal but that should really be reflected honestly. Note to business owner Matthew: Lots of negative or oddly worded back comments from him to those customers with less than positive reviews. Thats definately not a good look. And yes, people do read them and make decisions based on those negative reviews. The ladies at the front desk: Wow, I had to walk on egg shells. One was complaining about another customer when I entered the door. Again, not a good look. It seemed as though they both were bothered by check-ins. Love the community pizza oven and gas grill. Did not get a chance to use them. This is a great place for your dog to romp in the grass Nearest grocery store is 8-9 miles away. The Resort Store has some dry goods; canned junk and frozen things. So be sure to come prepared. Especially if you want to eat healthy nutritional. read more

We stayed here for one night and checked in after hours. The environment itself is beautiful, quiet, rustic, and surrounded by nature, but there were some serious gaps in communication that affected our stay. The on-site store had very limited essentials and only accepted cash. We were told the card machine was down, but another family checking out after a multi-day stay said it had been broken the entire time. There was no prior notice about the cash-only setup, not even an email, and that made things unnecessarily difficult for travelers just passing through. The mosquitoes were relentless. My sister, who is allergic, got bitten all over within minutes. There was no warning or signage about the bug situation and no repellents or advice offered during check-in. We ended up buying Benadryl and bug spray from the store, which thankfully helped, but it was expensive and wiped out all the cash we had. The man working at the store was incredibly kind and tried his best to help us, which we really appreciated. Inside the cabin, the space was cute and cozy but basic. There weren't many toiletries provided, so definitely bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. That said, we were really happy to have an oven and a sink, which gave us the option to cook and clean on our own. After days of road trip meals and takeout, that felt like a luxury. We also saw birds foraging near the cabin and got to canoe on the creek for free. That ended up being one of the most peaceful and memorable parts of our trip. My mom and I shared a quiet moment on the water that made the visit feel special in spite of the rough patches. This place has a lot of potential and could be great for people who arrive fully stocked and prepared. With better communication about the cash policy, mosquitoes, and what amenities are or aren't included, it could be much more welcoming for short-term visitors. read more

BEWARE DO NOT STAY DO NOT EVEN BOOK HERE!!! This is the worst place ever. They say they are Crater Lake Lodge which is supposedly a different location than Crater Lake Resort, but look above people! It says Crater Lake RESORT! We used the address they gave us and it went nowhere. Then we used the Crater Lake RESORT on the map according to the NAME ON THE RESERVATION and it took us to Crater Lake Lodge / Resort on the lake itself. Now, THAT hotel was CLOSED FOR THE SEASON!! We had even CALLED them to verify the address since what they gave us didn't even take us to a real area, we knew we were going to get there around 1 AM when there might not be anyone there, and the OR 62n 50711 was a JOKE but do you know what the lady said?? She said, "Oh you are coming from San Luis Obispo? You should give my daughter a ride up here!" I had no idea how to respond to that, and this lady did not help, nor did any emails we sent get us any better directions. We went on the best info we had and.. you guessed it! We wound up SLEEPING IN OUR JEEP IN THE FREEZING COLD WEATHER. We got NO sleep and therefore wound up having to spend an EXTRA WHOLE DAY in BEND just to RECOVER, which too a day out of our plans, as well as extra expense. When I called them first thing in the am I got the following nasty response, so help, no offer to give us another night another time, NOTHING. So now we have to dispute this on our credit card. I won't be using Booking.com OR ever staying in their crappy hotel. I heard from someone else they have these gross mice in the cabins and you can't sleep because of the smell. Here is their response. Crater Lake RESORT is where we looked up on google to find an actual address, that took us to Crater Lake Resort on the lake. If they knew there was another Crater Lake... whatever hotel, why didn't they TELL us that ON THE PHONE instead of asking me give their daughter a ride?? Ridiculous. You just got a new message from Crater Lake Resort Property's message: We are not affiliated with Crater Lake National Park, or Crater Lake Lodge, therefore, we did not give you an address for anywhere in the park. I assume that Booking would have also sent you an email with our address, but I do not know their procedures. I am not sure how, or where, you got the address to the Crater Lake Lodge, but we certainly did not give you that address. We are in no way responsible for you obtaining the wrong address and going to the wrong place. We had a fabulous stay at Crater Lake Resort. Awesome secluded place. We stayed in one of their cabins. Very spacious and clean. Feels very homey. Having a small kitchen was a plus. We brought some food to cook. But they have a little grocery on the premises. We didn't have time to rent the canoe but it's available. The grounds of the resort is very quiet and lots of things to do. We just relaxed outside and did a little hike. Next time we'll just tent camping. read more

We spent the night at Crater Lake Resort after a productive day at the beautiful Crater Lake National Park. Next time, I will spend at least 2 nights here to tackle the steep hike from the rim to the the lake. The resort itself was clean and well maintained. This is one of the few places where you can spend the night without driving all the way down to Klamath Falls. Parking was plenty. There was a cute stream that ran through the property and you can take advantage of the complementary cannon rental. The cabin kitchen was small, but had everything needed for cooking. Bonus point for the adorable resident kittens. The tortie was outgoing enough for me to cuddle and pet her. The only change I would make for the property is more food choices at the grocery store. read more

I originally found this place by searching for places to stay within the Crater Lake park. It's actually about half an hour from the park, but it looked much nicer than anything actually in the park so we gave it a shot. The creek and free canoe use were really fun. You can actually paddle a good distance up and down from the launch point. We stayed in one of the smaller cabins, which stayed comfortable even in the 100 degree heat. We paid the $14 Wi-Fi upgrade fee and had no problem streaming movies. My favorite part of staying here was the cats. Ghost walked up to our cabin door while we were unpacking and any time we were sitting outside she would jump up and demand pets. I think she was the most aggressively affectionate cat I've ever met. The only real downside was food. The store has some frozen pizzas and other stuff like that, but the cabin only had a really tiny microwave. The only restaurant option in the area after about 8pm was the casino in Chiloquin. One day we ate at a restaurant within the Crater Lake park. Another day we had a flat tire and had to drive back to Klamath Falls to get it patched and ate there. So overall you'll probably want to plan to eat elsewhere before heading back in the evening. read more

Very nice property. We love this area even in the winter. Plenty to do here even in the snow. The roads are well maintained so bring the snow gear and embrace the chill! Rolled in from California on a Friday. Lovely food/gear shop and extremely nice hosts! Cabins are modern, clean, and perfect for a weekend getaway. We brought food and used the kitchenette the whole time. Satellite TV in several cabins, as well as modern heat, fridge, and amenities. We played in the snow most of the day and borrowed the free snow shoes to tour the large property. A stream runs right through the property. Best of all, the premises is extremely dog friendly! First night: GLAMPING! It was awesome... the tent was really clean and well prepared with area rugs, side tables, comfy beds, soft pillows and warm blankets!!! Second night: CAMPING! We pitched our own tent (Tent site #4) this time. The tent site was perfect with picnic table, barbecue grill and area for bonfire! There are so many activities that you can do in this campground. I booked in advance an rv site for 4 days. Two days later I saw that I had been charged 8 TIMES, over $2100. I called CLR and they "don't see anything but 1 charge". Credit card company reversed 7 of the charges. The charge was $8.38 more than I was told because I was charged a VISA processing fee. When we get there early we were apprehensive because we had no idea who messed up the original order. We were early and saw that the site we rented was empty. We asked if we could set up. I was told that we couldn't because the site needed to be inspected. (Our neighbors said no one was there). I begged the clerk to let meset up and she reluctantly agreed BUT said I'd be reported to the manager. Never saw Zim. Zee was nowhere to be found. On our second day I noticed that CLR helped themselves to my credit card again for $110. I went to office and a different clerk said she doesn't see the charge (again). Credit card company said I had to wait until it posted. In the meantime I remembered that I stupidly registered on their website. It was there that I saw that I was charged $25/day for my dog that lived with us in our rv. Nothing on website or told to me about this. My invoice sans VISA charge stated two people, one dog, AND paid in full! I did find on this YELP site that dogs in RVs are $10 a day. The rest must be taxes. I sure hope Zim is paying his taxes. Today I paid $20 to do 2 loads of laundry WITH my own detergent ( another $20?). While waiting for second load to wash I was told that they were shutting off water and wanted me to know that if I tried to use water it wouldn't "work". My washer had not rinsed yet. I was told to just put in dryer. NO I WILL NOT PUT UNRINSED CLOTHES IN DRYER. There is also fatal to trees fungus outside my rv door that looks like cat throw up. All in all, it is a clean convenient place to stay BUT the management is absolutely the worse. NOPE. Staff=USELESS Booked this place on Expedia simply out of convenience to Crater Lake. (they advertise that they are 8 miles from Crater Lake...this is a lie. Check google maps, they are actually 25 miles from the park entrance.) My expectations were already low by looking at the pics, but by reading others reviews I was hopeful. Did I stay at the same place they did? Or am I just way to boujie? IDK but IMO this place is way overpriced, and the way its marketed is a downright lie. To call this place a "resort" is FAR from the truth. ITS A CAMPGROUND. They do offer cabins, but even those are filthy. At least if you bring your own RV or tent you know what to expect. They advertise "high speed wifi" which equates to (0.6mbps), and even their own welcome pamphlet states "we can not, and will not help you troubleshoot the wifi" hahaha. Customer service much? One suggestion, hope for the best but plan for the worst. Our neighbors were an RV full of children and the screaming persisted ALL NIGHT. We literally got zero sleep.. Oh and the nearest market is almost 30 miles away so plan accordingly. The staff at the "resort" are far from helpful and in my opinion RUDE. We accidentally left behind a personal item and have called numerous times to try and have the staff send it to us, but every time we call it goes to voice mail. We have left several messages but never has anyone returned our call. Even hung the sign on the door stating we were gone which said to hang btw Left in the morning around the time they open, they open at 10-2 is what they told us Arrived and it's NOT a resort, it's beautiful and peaceful yes but more of a campground. Settled in and put tv on for our kids and didn't work. Tried messing with it for a bit and couldn't think with my wildlings trying to play so I called and see if they can help ..right? Said she'd get someone to try and help, they never came nor did they even call back to check if we figured it out. We used up all the towels the 2nd day and went in to get a fresh set, mind you I have already entered all our info ( age, people, pets , even age) When I asked for extra towels, got a weird look "how many" Replied 5 "5!!?" We had to leave and lost over $330 for the cabin because no refunds. Drove two hours back to Bend. This is a lovely place to stay if you need to explore Crater lake. The pros: Kid and pet friendly BBQ area near the pond. Lounging area under the trees Play area for kids Small trail for doggie or kids Shampoo, conditioner and make up removers, a total plus for the ladies. Clean bathroom with warm water. Heater, WiFi and a minuscule TV but we came to detach from technology so it was perfect for us. Great customer service!! Military discount, thanks guys for your support to military members. The store is actually well stocked with the essentials for camping plus breakfast items. Approximately, 15 min away from the south entrance to Crater Lake. Cons: They need an upgrade on comforters, they seemed to be stained and outdated. However, I always travel with my own sheets, pillows and blankets so this was not a big issue for me. What a disappointment. Our fully equipped kitchen didn't even have a microwave. No place to put our clothes, no chest-of-drawers or hangers in the closet. NO AIR CONDITIONING! We stayed one night at a tent site on the way to visit Crater Lake and it was perfect. They have tons of free amenities and a convenient camp store where we even bought a digiorgno pizza and baked it in their pizza oven. Best of all was the hot showers and clean bathrooms. It's only a half hour from there to Crater Lake so we were able to get there early and avoid the crowds lining up to get through the entrance later. read more

This is a great place to stay with little kids! The people who work there are so welcoming and there is a well-stocked store with surprisingly good selection of beer and other basic food stuff. The grounds are well-maintained with a lovely creek running throughout, a mini nature walk, free canoes to use, a playground, and lots of grass. It was so peaceful for adults and magical for the little ones to run around and safely explore. We've stayed in the creekside cabins on two separate trips and look forward to returning. The kitchenette has a stovetop (no oven), and all the pots and pans, dish-ware and silverware a family of four might need. There are also campsites for tents and RVs and a map online so you can reserve the one located where you'd like it on the property. There is also a laundry room. It is about 30 minutes to Crater Lake National Park and right off of the highway. read more

This is more an advisory review than a regular review. The Resort looks nice from the road, neat nice accents. We had reserved one of their 'glamping 'tents for 2 days while we visited Crater Lake. The pictures on their website showed a nice big wide tent, with a mat covering the tent floor, nice rugs, the beds looked decent height with very nice blankets. We arrived,nice lady behind counter. We drove to our assigned glamping tent #4. Upon unlocking the scroll lock and opening we found holes in the screen, no mat covering the floor of the tent, the rugs were under the wooden cots, no chairs that were said to be at the tent. The floor was dirty, crunched under our feet. The beds were cheap plastic mattresses that offered no support along with similar pillows. We could not get up out of the beds without using the small table in the tent. We had hoped this would be a chance to camp again,that both of us have done in the past, many times, it was not. The bathroom/single shower room wasn't as described on their website either. No path over the uneven ground. The tent was on a wooden stand that was difficult to access with the tent lines in the opening of the tent. I'm mobility challenged, my friend as well but according to the pictures on their website, it looked acceptable. This is the main purpose of my review. Crater Lake Resort should make it clear their glamping tents are not for everyone, and follow ADA regulations to post it on their website for people to make a informed decision. And their no refund policy makes it even more needed. We did not stay, we had to hunt down a place to stay at 830 PM, at the Days Inn in Klamath Falls which for an older motel was very comfortable. NOTE we did ask to swap to one of their cabins, since they had a vacancy sign up. We were told they had none available. We are out 402 dollars, no understanding from the Resort and all I can do is advise others I've noticed that representatives of the Resort respond some times harshly to reviews that don't glow with praise, so I expect to get one but I don't care. They need to be more open and descriptive of this campground. read more

My family and I spent four days at Crater Lake Resort and had the best time. The facilities are immaculate. We had a partial hook-up site with both water and power and were very comfortable. The highlight was our day by the creek, where our boys fished from the bank and generally romped around. We hopped in a canoe, paddles up to a beaver dam/mini-waterfall and floated home. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back - and next time we will get to go to Crater Lake (which was closed because of covid.)! read more

About 20 mins from Crater Lake, this was a lovely little spot. Beautiful stream running through with a short trail. We stayed in Cabin 7 with a full kitchen. It was great for 3 of us and 2 dogs. We had a nice fire-pit one night. Their on-site store had beer, wine, snacks, frozen foods, a lot of stuff... so you wouldn't starve if you did not prepare. Grill for each cabin, common area with a larger grill, seating and pizza stone. Free canoes. I peeked into their other cabins with queen beds and 2 queen beds. Really nice. Its not a resort... but super nice cabins if you do not want to be cold camping. I would stay again. read more

My group need a an overnight location before starting our backpacking trip near Crater Lake. This spot was super affordable. We chose the grass camp sites and were happy about how spacious and lush it was. (We peeked the yurts and they looked pretty nice). The campsite had a bench table which was convenient for making breakfast in the morning. It was a particularly cold night but the nice hot shower offered at the communal bathroom was great. It has a private changing area next to the shower which was nice. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. I accidently left my wallet at the campsite and they followed up every way possible to contact me, and they did successfully! The staff went above and beyond. read more

This truly is a great business. We live in Fort Klamath so it's very nice having a small convenience store within minutes of our home. If I run out of something such as a gallon of milk it saves me from driving nearly 30 minutes to the nearest gas station. We had a lovely time here. This is an RV park with parking for regular RVs and what we called "loophole RVs" - permanently parked buildings that are externally labeled as RVs but inside feature normal beds, large windows, normal wood cabinets without funny RV latches, a normally flushing toilet, and good water pressure in the shower. And a gas stove! I love gas stoves. We stayed in a loophole RV, which the website calls a "Creekside Cabin". Our kids slept in the bedroom behind closed doors. My husband and slept in the living room next to a 7ft x 8ft window onto the stream - just a lovely view. The loophole RVs are spaced nicely to provide enough space in between for a somewhat private deck overlooking the stream and a parking spot for a full size car. There are basic metal canoes available for paddling on the stream. There's a playground for kids. Be careful with little kids since neither the stream nor small pond are fenced. The convenience store stocks very basic supplies, enough to get by for a meal or two but not a replacement for a real grocery store. I thought we might end up shopping at Jo's Organic Grocery up the road, but the few fruits we bought at Jo's were so heavily permeated with incense that I'm glad we mostly shopped at Crater Lake Resort's store. The wifi was unusable both in the cabin and at the main office, and Verizon reception was poor. read more

I really wanted to like this place. It is very close to a road ,not secluded at all. The cabins are shoved together with decks in between. There was a bunch of garbage tossed over our railing near this pretty little stream. The cabin was pretty dirty, And the garbage was full and left in the bathroom and, the windows were filthy. The worst part was all Night long there were some critters, mice? Bats?, scurrying through the wall and cupboards. We got notice the day we arrived that the electricity would be turned off at 8am for up to 8 hours. I thought the cost was way too much for the offerings here. We stayed for just one night, as we eere up north, but ince we got here, we wanted to stay longer. Nice spaces for RV's and tents, and the cabins are very nice. We got a cabin for four, with two queen beds. Cabins are great, cozy, clean, gorgeous, with kitchenette, a small fridge, microwave, and all utensils. The place has a food market, as well, where you can get all the basics. We actually grilled some pork chops, had hot dogs, and even made a mushroom risotto, all bought in the store. There's a creek on the back where you can kayak, or try to catch a fish, and the play area for the kids is huge. A great discovery, but sadly, a little time to stay. read more

Excellent choice for all out camping or mixing it up and 'glamping.' This campground is more than that: you can pitch a tent, hook up your RV, or stay in a really nice cabin with bath and kitchenette (and satellite tv). There are clean bath and laundry facilities central to all the sites and the general store has staples available ranging from ice to firewood to pancake mix to syrup to Bigfoot mints. There's a brand-new gas grill available for all to use if you don't have a kitchenette or want to supplement your campfire. For activities, there's a playground area with swings suspended from tall ponderosa pines, a paddleball court, a slide and horse swing. There're also canoes and inner tubes (and life jackets and oars) for paddling on and exploring the beautiful 1-3 ft deep creek and pond that abut the site. Also the entire resort is covered by wifi. Friends and I decided to check out Crater Lake and go camping. There were three families in our group. We had small children with us, and two large dogs. I was pleasantly surprised that this campsite met all of our needs. They have a combination of camping options: cabins, yurts, camper hook-ups, and sites where you can pitch your own tents. One family opted for a cabin, and the other two opted to pitch tents. We had a galley kitchen in the cabin, and then were able to cook outside at the camp site over the fire pit and use camp stoves. There's a beautiful little river that runs through the camp site. They have canoes you can sign out, and the kids went wading out into the river. I soaked my feet, and the water was freezing! There's a short trail on the other side of the river that the smaller kids enjoyed as well. They have two swings and a small area of playground equipment. I wish there was more, but a camp site can only have so much. We enjoyed watching bats fly overhead at night, looking at the stars, and listening to coyotes in the distance. The only thing that was challenging was the internet connection. You have to want to disconnect completely because the connection is really poor. I was able to connect about 11pm each night, when most people were asleep. We laughed at another guest who offered to buy the owners a new router! read more

Beautiful place, but RV power hook-ups which are advertised aren't an acceptable voltage which could blow your plugged in machines. Guy at the general store was a jerk when we told him, far less than helpful, more so rude. Staying here tonight, but heading out immediately tomorrow. Wouldn't stay here again purely because of the customer service and the advertised versus actualized amenities. read more

Due to COVID my planned guests could not make our planned stay at Crater Lake Resort Dec 23rd - 25th. I made my reservation through Hotels.Com. When I needed to cancel my stay weeks before the event, I was billed a 20% cancellation fee. Hotels.Com called the property to get the reservation cancelled and a refund. Crater Lake Inn said they stick to their policy for Hotels.Com and not refund the other money regardless of the situation. Hotels.Com did not and have never had such a issue with any other property I dealt with. Customer Service and doing what is right usually held the day. After speaking with the Front Desk person and not getting any feeling of support, i asked to speak to a manager which she said would call back later in the day when they returned. I never got a call. Poor customer consideration and concern will make sure I never go there again and I let other know what you may expect. read more

This RV park is small. There are 23 sites total. 7 sites were water and electric only. No dump station available. If you are in a partial and need to dump you need to wait for someone in a full hookup site to leave then back in to dump. Several tent spaces through the property. All the spaces are pretty good sized. Our 40 ft rig had no problem in our site. Still plenty of room to move around. They also have cabins which seem to be pretty nice. The check in/check out hours are pretty strict. We arrived shortly after 1pm and were told that check in is at 3pm. I asked if the site was vacant, it was, then was there a reason I could not park? She didn't have one except that the it wasn't checking time yet. I asked what I should do, we were blocking the driveway with our rig, there is no turn around. So I was allowed to check in. Not the friendliest of welcomes. The partial hookup sites back up to the road, it isn't super busy however you do hear the traffic if you are a light sleeper. They also charge for pets. $5 per night to have your dog. Yet there is no dog park to let them off leash. There is plenty of space to add one. The good was our space was pretty level, the bathrooms were kept clean, the park itself is clean. They have a nice play area for the kids. My husband spoke with the groundskeeper, he was pretty nice. The office person either needs a new job or was having a really bad day when I interacted with her. If the place had a dump station, dog run and friendly office staff the stars would be higher. read more

First things first: it's outdated. HOWEVER - it's really clean and well kept. The staff were super nice every time we saw them. The little camp store is great! Much better than the "grocery store" in Chiloquin. They have canoes you can use, and the water is perfect. read more

This was a last minute reservation when my son and I decided to take a side trip to Crater Lake. Looks really cute online but the cabins and decor are kind of shabby. The reservation person was friendly and everything was waiting as described when we arrived late evening. The desk had closed so they left us information on the outside bulletin board. So I'd like to give them another half star for that. But for $160 with taxes included I expected better beds and better bathroom. TV reception was spotty at best and you have to pay extra for hi speed WiFi. Meh. read more
