Shout out to Gina at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make sure things were done well and folks felt welcomed. This is definitely the best hotel in town. Room: The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. I spent most of my time out at Crater Lake National Park, so it was perfect for me. There wasn't HBO or other movie channels but local cable was good with me. There was a mini coffee machine in the room, microwave, and fridge. Breakfast: Gina made sure to let me know about the hot breakfast served in the mornings. The offerings were the same everyday. There's something for most people. If you're vegan AND gluten free, bring your own food. General Area: If you're going out for a meal, the hotel is next to a casino. The food selections were wide and tasty. There's not a lot for vegan or gluten free diets. Next to the casino is a gas station and convenient store for your needs. There's not a lot available for groceries in the area.

We chose the town of Chiloquin for our Crater Lake National Park visit because it was close to the South entrance. The town is small and very limited in sleeping accommodations and eating options. Sleep Inn was the most modern hotel available. Our room & bathroom were clean. Free WiFi was strong. Small refrigerator and microwave were in the room. AC was working fine. The free breakfast was decent. There were only two negatives, the mattress was too soft and the water pressure was weak. The cost was $250 per night, which wasn't bad at all considering the lack of other hotel and AIRBNB options.

Great place to stay at if you are visiting Crater Lake or the Casino nearby. Was heading to Crater Lake before moving on to Portland a few weeks ago and this place was great. Comfortable bed, nice in room additions such as a tv, fridge and microwave. Front desk was amazing, gave us all the information and even gave us a call to see if the room was just right. This is a nice place to stay at.

The staff is friendly. The room was clean. However, the carpets and headboards are worn out.

We stayed two nights in a partial RV site. (Water and electricity.). The park was not busy at all…read more It was June 11 & 12. Cute little resort. Had all the amenities we needed. However, I was surprised there was no central sanitary dump as I assumed and most reputable camp grounds that offer RV sites always have a dump station regardless of individual site connections. You should know that if you need to dump your RV tanks and reserve a partial hookup site, they will charge you $20 to use one of the full hookup sites sanitary dump. If those full hookup sites are full you are shit out of luck. Also know the laundry facility is $10 for the room key. Machines are no cost (if they work). So do as many loads as you can. Bathrooms are relatively clean. Expect to wait a while if the park is full as there is only one shower. Opps! Beware of charges to your credit card. There are many review comments abroad about this facility potentially scamming customers with faulty or dishonest charges without their permission. Check and double check your current and pending charges on your card (before and after) leaving the resort. Websites can be deceiving: Resort website says Crater Lake is 7 -8 miles (not correct) from resort as well as 30 minutes. It's actually approx. 22 miles. Not a big deal but that should really be reflected honestly. Note to business owner Matthew: Lots of negative or oddly worded back comments from him to those customers with less than positive reviews. Thats definately not a good look. And yes, people do read them and make decisions based on those negative reviews. The ladies at the front desk: Wow, I had to walk on egg shells. One was complaining about another customer when I entered the door. Again, not a good look. It seemed as though they both were bothered by check-ins. Love the community pizza oven and gas grill. Did not get a chance to use them. This is a great place for your dog to romp in the grass Nearest grocery store is 8-9 miles away. The Resort Store has some dry goods; canned junk and frozen things. So be sure to come prepared. Especially if you want to eat healthy nutritional.

We stayed here for one night and checked in after hours. The environment itself is beautiful,…read morequiet, rustic, and surrounded by nature, but there were some serious gaps in communication that affected our stay. The on-site store had very limited essentials and only accepted cash. We were told the card machine was down, but another family checking out after a multi-day stay said it had been broken the entire time. There was no prior notice about the cash-only setup, not even an email, and that made things unnecessarily difficult for travelers just passing through. The mosquitoes were relentless. My sister, who is allergic, got bitten all over within minutes. There was no warning or signage about the bug situation and no repellents or advice offered during check-in. We ended up buying Benadryl and bug spray from the store, which thankfully helped, but it was expensive and wiped out all the cash we had. The man working at the store was incredibly kind and tried his best to help us, which we really appreciated. Inside the cabin, the space was cute and cozy but basic. There weren't many toiletries provided, so definitely bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. That said, we were really happy to have an oven and a sink, which gave us the option to cook and clean on our own. After days of road trip meals and takeout, that felt like a luxury. We also saw birds foraging near the cabin and got to canoe on the creek for free. That ended up being one of the most peaceful and memorable parts of our trip. My mom and I shared a quiet moment on the water that made the visit feel special in spite of the rough patches. This place has a lot of potential and could be great for people who arrive fully stocked and prepared. With better communication about the cash policy, mosquitoes, and what amenities are or aren't included, it could be much more welcoming for short-term visitors.

It's been a while since my last visit and I still can't stop thinking about it…read more Amazing experience. Stayed here towards the end of December and early January. I was worried my compact car wouldn't be able to handle the snow but luckily faced no issues. We got the cabin with a private jacuzzi and MY GOSH- nothing beats the feeling of soaking in hot water on a covered patio, looking at the snowy trees. They created a beautiful ambiance with fairy lights outside the covered patio so the snowy view was still slightly visible at night. It was a serene stay with little to no disturbances. I highly recommend this cabin hotel, especially during the winter months. You won't regret it!

BEDBUGS (confirmed by their hired exterminator). That's the short version. If you're considering…read morestaying here, please read on: We had a one-night reservation and arrived very late. Wanting to enjoy the property, we stayed up -- made a fire, used the hot tub, ate some food -- and finally headed to bed way past our usual bedtime. When I moved a pillow to pull back the blankets, I spotted a bug. Assuming it was just a random outdoor bug (since we were in the woods), I snapped a quick photo to ID it online while my boyfriend tossed it outside. To my shock, results came back: bedbug. A second site confirmed it, and when I posted on Reddit, the unanimous responses were: "definitely a bedbug." We hadn't even gotten into bed yet, but our suitcases and clothes had been at the foot of the bed. Knowing this could be serious, we immediately looked online for next steps. We double-bagged everything, cleaned hard surfaces, and checked the mattress. Under the comforter, sheets, and two mattress covers, we found multiple bedbug casings along the mattress corners. Needless to say, we did not sleep. I messaged the hotel right away and at 8am the manager, Scott, arrived. At first, he was very apologetic and kind. He offered to put us in another hotel in town, cover laundry service, and said he was bringing in an exterminator right away. This reassured us -- temporarily. When the exterminator arrived, he looked at our photos and immediately said: "Yep, bedbug." About the casings, his words were: "Definitely a bedbug infestation." He used the word infestation. But after inspecting the cabin with the manager (where they spoke in hushed voices, which felt odd), their tone shifted. Suddenly, the story became: "We don't know if you brought them with you." That is simply not possible -- we never got into bed, and the casings were under multiple layers of bedding and mattress protectors. There's no way we introduced that kind of activity in just a few hours. From there, the offers were downgraded: no outside hotel, no outside laundry service, just another on-site cabin and laundry done there. We thanked them for the offer but didn't feel comfortable staying. This was supposed to be our final night of a two-week family road trip through the PNW, and we had originally planned to drive from Ashland back to the Bay Area after checkout. But since we hadn't slept, we were absolutely exhausted and knew that was no longer an option. As a family, we decided not to risk staying in another cabin (since bedding is likely laundered together). Instead, we scrambled to find alternate lodging. With very limited options in town, we ended up paying way too much for a musty old hotel and had to buy new clothes at Walmart, since ours were bagged up and stored in our car's rooftop cargo bin. The manager promised a refund. Almost three weeks later: nothing. When I followed up, I got excuses about booking through a third party. I only received money back because the booking site stepped in -- not because the hotel did the right thing. To be fair, we liked the cabin at first glance. But then we found the bedbugs. Bedbugs are a serious health and sanitation issue, and the way this was handled made everything worse: initial kindness and accountability, followed by denial, retracted promises, and a refund that only happened through the booking site. Even the exterminator they hired didn't seem particularly professional, which makes me question whether the problem was ever truly resolved. From what I've read, it's not an easy pest to eliminate, and based on what I saw, I'm not confident this was taken seriously. Bottom line: BEDBUGS and poor management response. Avoid this property until there is proof the infestation has been fully and professionally eliminated. Travelers deserve safe, clean accommodations -- and this was the opposite.
