It's very hard for me as an Arab to find good Shawrma! I have to give it to Krave Kabob they have mastered the beef steak shawarma, I like their falafel as well. An advice order a wrap that is the authentic way of eating a shawarma sandwich!! I believe the beef shawarma is a lot better than the chicken shawarma that's my personal opinion tho! I ordered the Falafel wrap to-go and was pleasantly surprised. It was absolutely delicious! First, the wrap itself had grill marks and was warm, soft and slightly crisp. The falafel in the wrap was warm, the hummus was perfectly creamy and was just the right amount. The wrap also contained cool crisp pickles and tomatoes that added a nice crunch and freshness to it. Oh, and while I waited for my order, I was brought a single falafel with hummus to try. It was AMAZING!! The falafel was crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside. Today I grabbed a bite to eat before the Hawks vs Leafs home opener. Getting halal near the United Center was huge. But the food was great also. Service was phenomenal. In a world where it seems we lust over the "hot" new thing, QSR Mediterranean by the point is very last year. However in a world saturated by Naf-Naf and Roti, places like Crave Kabob bring a new twist to old favorites. The thing I appreciated the most was the variety and flexibility. My wife had Schwarma and I had a Gyro plate. Both excellent and unlike too many of the "Greek" joints, very flavorful while being light on the oils. Crispy delicious Gryos, great schwarma, sauces and rice. 10/10 read more

A great casual Mediterranean spot near Rush & United Center. Had the veggie combo (hummus, baba ganooj, 1 pita, 3 stuffed grape leaves, 3 falafel, and choice of 2 salads; chose the chickpeas and the cucumber salad). The hummus is smooth and perfectly balanced. Companion had chicken shawarma, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The shawarma came with tahini and hot sauce on the side. Most of the appetizers and salads are vegetarian or vegan. The food is not super fast, so call for takeout if you are in a rush. read more

This is my second time at this amazing facility. I cant speak enough about the level of quality and care taken in the food that I am eating. I speak for the entire Fire Side of the 9-11 Center when I say Crave Kabob is now our Go To Place for all of our lunch and dining desires. The staff at Crave Kabob are all Top Notch. Pleasant and Personable. Service is outstanding. Price Point and menu selection is great and the food is fantastic. Chicken Kabob Shwarma combo is what I suggest. The restaurant is beautifully designed and hip. You feel very welcome and comfortable. It's a MUST VISIT if you're in the West Loop and perfect place to dine before any event at the United Center or if you just want to grind on some good Middle Eastern food. Two Thumbs Up! read more

Not sure why my review is not showing up this is my second time posting it. Not sure if others are having the same problem, so I am posting it again. I've tried this place a few times with friends. First time was ok but not horrible I had the plate with kabob, it was just dry and bland, but we decided to come back and give it another try. That's when I tried the falafel bowl, my friend ordered a steak sandwich, and our other friend had the steak shawarma bowl. None of us were happy with our food. Nothing really had that great middle eastern flavor, the steak was dry and gummy. My falafel wasn't as authentic as I'm used to and it tasted like it was missing something. I'm middle eastern so maybe it's because I know how it should taste and this was just not up to par. This place is definitely not as authentic as it claims to be. My coworkers and I ordered Crave Kabob for lunch today and had a pretty disappointing experience. When the order arrived, only one person's lunch was delivered correctly. The $10 Dipitizer we ordered had 2 dips (not 4 as advertised) and was delivered with 1 piece of pita. One vegan in the group ordered a vegetarian crave bowl only to find pieces of meat in it. One person's fattoush salad didn't have dressing on it, and none was given on the side. Since we were also missing items that we ordered, we called the restaurant to see if part of the order had accidentally not been delivered; the person working said that they could give us 25% off our next order (which wouldn't even compensate us for the missing items that we had paid for and not received) or they could fully refund our order. We took them up on the full refund only and went about our afternoon. About 30 minutes later we get a call from the manager who said that they could not issue a full refund, but they could deliver the missing items of the order. At this point, our window for lunch was well over so we said no thanks, but we would be fine with a refund for the items that were not delivered. No surprise, when we got the refund, it was less than what we were owed. Hard to recommend this place based on the poor service..... read more

Crave Kabob used to be one of my favorite restaurants but I am not going back anymore. Lately, their food has become very bland and their tahini sauce was watery and taste like it went bad. I actually got sick afterwards. Also, when I get carry out they shorted me sauces on top of the sauces tasting bad. I am not ever going back. read more

We ordered delivery on a Thursday night. The food was delicious. We had the chicken schwarma and falafel bowls. They give a lot of rice flavor options as well as salad choices (hummus, tabouleh, baba), salads and delicious sauces. We also ordered grape leaves. It was delivered quickly and packaged very nicely. We will be happy to order from here again. Note - the sauce is served in the bowl so get it on the side if you're not sure of the flavor or you are experimenting.
