Half eaten gyro... sorry forgot to take this picture before I dug in!

I love a good gyro and Mr. Greek always delivers on that! The gyro meal was about 12$ for a hefty gyro, lots of fries and a drink. Good price on a super filling, fresh tasting meal. The wait was not long at all, and the restaurant was clean. Will definitely be back.

Newish spot on Taylor St. The original location is over in Greek Town. I was pretty excited to see this open up, but it's unfortunately pretty average. The place is clean and the employees seem great. Service was very quick. However, both things that I've tried there were meh. Tried the Greek chicken salad and the chicken wasn't great. Try adding some different seasoning and maybe flame broil it if possible. I also tried the double cheeseburger and cheese fries. They were both fine, but nothing to write home about. I could tell that the patties were cheap frozen patties. The bun was good but it was packed with too much lettuce. I was surprised to see that the patties were the thin frozen ones....it seems like many places these days have migrated to more of a "fresh" burger patty. It has everything it needs to be a long term staple of Taylor St if they upgrade the meats.

It's not an exaggeration to say that Chicago has a lot of burger joints and hot dog joints. It's also not an exaggeration to say that you can also find some very good Greek fast food in Chicago. However, there really wasn't a good spot to get Greek fat food in Little Italy, until now. As of the time of the writing of this review, Mr. Greek Gyros is new in Little Italy. First, the food is amazing. When I went, I ordered the big baby double cheeseburger combo with cheese fries, the chicken kabob dinner, the gyros plate and the baklava cheesecake. As gyros plates go, this one of the better one I've had. I also loved the big baby double cheeseburger. The patties were juicy and it was a cut about your average fast food burger. My mind was also a bit blown by the baklava cheesecake, it's a must order. Second, the service was top Notch. The entire staff, especially the cashier, were super nice. The food came out fast, fresh and delicious. The ambiance and atmosphere for a restaurant like this was perfect. The restaurant was clean, bright and had the vibes of a fast food Greek restaurant from Chicago's Greek Town. In sum, if want a burger or some quick and delicious Greek food around UIC, this is your place.

What a tasty good haul for under $13!!

How was it? Fries- Delicious! Fresh cut fries, made right in front of you. They were great! Huge portion, too! Merkts Cheddar Sauce- Hell yeah! Give me a gallon of this, and I will chug it! Such a tasty cheese sauce. Loved dipping my fries in it. Great combo! Char Dog- This dog was delicious! Great char, great toppings. My only beef would be the bun. It definitely could have been more soft/steamed and fresh. It held up pretty well, but there were a couple bites where it broke and flaked apart. Hate when that happens. Still...didn't ruin the overall experience. Had a great last meal in Chicago before I headed to the airport.

The service was quick and sometimes, some of the friendly staffs took away our empty tray. In addition to McD regular menu, they also have global menu from different countries that is not available in the US (the global menu rotates every month). - Samurai burger from Singapore: the burger includes patty, mayo, lettuce and teriyaki sauce. However, the teriyaki sauce was way too sweet for my liking. - Mango McFlurry from Malaysia: it had mango chunks and mango syrup swirled in the McFlurry. It tasted good but nothing special. - Winter Fries from France: this was our favorite! The fries were wedged cut but they were crispy and flavorful (not overly salty). - McPops mix: these were small donuts (similar to beignet). The hazelnut flavor from Spain was the winner! It had Nutella inside which was super good. The berry from Swiss was very lacking of berry flavor. The biscoff from Spain was good too.

A LOCAL CLASSIC! I…read moreloved this spot so much I ended up coming back twice. It has that classic late night comfort food vibe and feels like one of those staple spots you have to try at least once. First night I ordered a polish hot dog with everything on it and a fish sandwich w/ extra grilled onions. Super cool that your order comes with fries and I added a cheese cup both times. In my opinion the fries were mid the first go around, but second time they were better. Definitely tasted better dipped in cheese. They were kinda airy in texture, if that makes sense. Polish hot dog was around a 6.5-7/10 for me. It did taste better warmed up the next day. What I was most obsessed with was the double cheeseburger and fish sandwich! both were easily a 10/10. Super good prices and worth the money. Also, the chile peppers were sooo bomb and hotter than I expected ! I wanted to eat them all, but they were packing some serious heat! The lemon Italian ice is where it's at, make sure to order one! You can also mix it with strawberry, but both times people recommended the lemon and now I see why. The line gets super active and busy past 10-11pm, but during the daytime it's way less crowded. Even when it gets packed the line moves pretty quick. They stay open late and close at 1am which is nice.

Both were nice and hot. Fries were crispy and that first snap into the juicy sausage was worth the trip. No seating, so be prepared to eat in your car and get a bit messy. Also be warned the peppers are legitimately spicy, those serranos had my partner sweating. Glad I tried it, but not something I'd eat all the time, great late night drinking kind of food.

It is a pretty neat place when went in I saw that they have a lot of memorabilia all around the place. Also famous people have also been there with their autographs on their pictures. This place was quite busy which tells me that it must be good. It was very organized you can order your meal on a kiosk or at the counter. We decided to order it at the counter I ordered a famous Chicago hot dog which is an all beef hot dog on a poppy seed bun topped with chop onions, sweet pickle relish, tomato slices, dill pickle and a small spicy pepper with no ketchup but does have yellow mustard the price you could not bet it was very reasonable my guest ordered an Italian sandwich. After ordering the cashier gives you a receipt with your number on it and you step to the side. Then you wait until your number is called and that's how you get your order. Yes it was crowded but we waited for our two items for at least a half an hour which to me was unacceptable but besides that the place is really neat to try and the hot dog as well as the Italian sandwich was delicious definitely will be back again fingers crossed that we don't have to wait so long but the wait was worth it. They also have lots of seating around the restaurant. There is a second story as well you could sit up there.
