Crave's sushi is sooo good. Excellent apps and drinks! Love to sit on the patio in the summer! Love this downtown spot!

I used to love Crave but it seems to be going downhill. Hubby and I both ordered the tuna poke bowl and it was WAY too spicy. We like spicy food but it was ridiculous. Had to search for the bits of ahi tuna. Service was slow too. Not sure I would return. read more

I made a reservation for lunch we arrived early and were seated immediately. The décor is modern and beautiful. Our waiter, Oliver, was a real pro. He made us feel welcome and knew the menu well. I wanted to try a good sushi roll Oliver recommended the Godzilla. He was right it was awesome! Hubby had French dip n fries (not a sushi guy) he said it was great. The sushi was ok, although the poke dish tasted nothing like actual poke bowls and it was tasteless. The paella dish was terrible, tasted like mushy rice and cream of chicken with overcooked seafood. *They contacted me to try to rectify things, which is appreciated. The sushi is just uninspired and over priced. The rest of the food is fine but also not anything that warrants the price point. Service is a definite quality here. The servers are attentive, pleasant and prompt; unfortunately the food just doesn't do anything special for me. read more

I got a to go order from Crave delivered to Monk's Al House. I had he Hoison Salmon. Not knowing quite what to expect given the large variety of items on the menu, I was delighted, to say the least. The salmon was cooked to perfection and had a delicious glaze on it. The dish in general was an amazing combination of sweet and savory with rice, egg, broccoli, peppers and onions filling out the savory portion. It also included a hot pepper which added a perfect amount of kick. I would highly recommend Crave for your next meal! read more

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, which is directly connected to Crave. We were looking for a great South Dakota steak for our last night, and the Hilton associate suggested we go to a place in town for that. As we were leaving, a woman said that the steak at Crave was exquisite, so we opted to stay in and dine there. We should have listened to the Hilton associate- the steak was like chewing on a meatball. We ordered medium rare and it came out more like medium well, and the steak was so soft it was almost crumbly, and it was not good to eat at all. Especially after we had been to Cattleman's Club in Pierre, this steak was abysmal. The only reason I give Crave 3 stars is because their pepperoni flatbread was pretty good. Very crispy and covered in goat cheese. If you're looking for a good American restaurant minus the steak, this is the place to go. read more

Garbage restaurant and awful food. The manager, goes by Mike or Rick or something, was very dismissive and made excuses for the poor quality and frankly microwaved looking and tasting dishes. The sushi smelled like fish, and I know that's not right, apparently, "that's fine because fish is supposed to smell like fish." No, that's not fine. The fusion aspects are lost on me simply because they're poorly executed. Don't waste your money. Needs new management ASAP. read more

I absolutely love Crave. I am not a sushi fan but what I love is they have many other options. They're Angry Dragon is a great drink and I love their chicken stirfry. Recently we celebrated my birthday there and their coconut cake was amazing for dessert. read more

We ordered room service from Crave. The wings were overdone and dry. The sushi was not fresh and the presentation suggests inexperience. The room service was relatively quick. My wife had a bison burger the next day and reports that it was really good. The burger was juicy and she had no complaints. In addition, they mistakenly charged a breakfast to my room (+ tips!). I have yet to get a refund from these guys. (1 star for the missing refund, otherwise 3 stars) read more

Started off being seated on the 85 degree patio (which we opted for) however we were not allowed to sit at a high top table for 6 that was conveniently located in the shade because there were only 2 of us, even tho there was plenty other seating available. Then it took our server about 5 minutes to arrive with waters, and then another 15 minutes to arrive with our beverages. Only then to be informed they do not sell Coors Light Bottles. Whatever. Our Drink orders would not be submitted until our server would finish checking on her other tables in her area. Incredibly slow, inefficient and lacking urgency. She Even forgot to turn in two drink orders. Then the Food took an hour to arrive. Finally, we watched a couple arrive after us, get their food before ours, and get a $20 gift card due to the slow service. Other than all that , it was a good time. Cheers. read more

Great place for date night and for a happy hour after work. I'm not a fan of sushi but this place is the place to go in Sioux Falls for sushi. Great menu with a lot of options! Only reason it's a 4 Star and not 5 is that the menu is very pricey. Appetizers are reasonably priced. read more

We went for just a drink and ended up eating off the happy hour menu. The lettuce wraps and sushi excellent. The service was exceptional and we so enjoyed our time there that will be going back very soon. Would love to have done dinner but didn't need to with the variety on the happy hour menu. I was very disappointed. I wanted to try the Argentina style rib eye. I asked the waiter if was thin and tough or like an American steak. He assured me it was a thick juicy American steak. Wrong, very wrong. It was very tough and thin, difficult to cut and chew, and the seasoning was awful. The service was really slow too. Others in the party though the food was overpriced and not very good. I was willing to count it up to experience until early morning the next day I got very sick to my stomach. As I write this I am still sick. Also they put an 18% gratuity in the bill. I would never go back. I don't recall a worse eating experience ever. read more

It was a storming late night. We were staying at the hotel. The lightning was spectacular. We asked for a window seat, and then ordered drinks. I asked if it was a full bar, and they said yes, so I goofed, and ordered my favorite drink. The Last Word. My wife really likes a Paper Plane. Well, it is not a full bar. They could not make either. No big deal, just hopping. So, I ordered a manhattan. It was weak and sweet. My wife order and Gin and tonic. It was fine. We also ordered a sushi roll. It was good, but did not come with a vessel to mix the soy sauce and wasabi together in to dip the roll. So, not our night. Should have played it simple for them and maybe we would have had a better experience. We sat and watched the lightning and enjoyed the night. We have been here a few times due to work....the last visit we left because it was over an hour wait for appetizers after we sat down. Something happened and the world was blowing up around the tables..That said, the food when we have gotten it was good. Also the drinks - the bartender can make a spicey pineapple mojito concoction that is fantastic. Took the host about 20 minutes to seat us when there were plenty of open tables. (Huh?) After waiting about an hour, the food was decently tasty. Seems like a diamond in the rough once you're seated on the patio -- not at all what I expected, and that's that's a very good thing. You park in a very industrial area, walk through a hotel, and find a great new restaurant. Nice views, great ambiance and service. The burger I ordered was cooked perfectly and had a great balance of flavor. My wife's salad was also fresh and filling. Good place for a romantic dinner or to meet with friends. Good experience. We had a group of 10 for lunch. Good comments on salads, mac and cheese, fish tacos, shrimp bowl, grilled cheese, Sushi and jambalaya. Only negative comment was on the tomato soup. This was probably the worse meal I have ever had in Sioux Falls, we had some special friends here from Ariz who were staying in the hotel so thought it would be easy to eat there. Our service was terrible, the waiter definitely had some hygiene problems, was disgusting. He mixed up our drink orders, when we did receive our meal everyone's was cold, and one that was supposed to be cold was hot. I was totally embarrassed to bring out friends there and have such a terrible experience. Never again will we come to Crave. read more

On our way through town we stopped at Crave for dinner. We sat on the patio and it was a beautiful spot for outdoor dining. They have over sized umbrellas for shade. The waiter was very attentive. I am Gluten free, dairy free and he helped me navigate the menu asking the chef when I had questions. There are many options for gluten sensitive, vegetarian and vegan. I got the pomegranate salmon and it was excellent! Others in our party got the lemon chicken wing app which was fantastic and entrees Mac and cheese with crispy chicken, lemon chicken and chicken caprese rosa. We all enjoyed our meals. Made reservation in Sioux Falls for Mother's Day in advance and arrived 5 mins early. The host/hostess were clearly overwhelmed and though they checked me in, we were immediately lost in the shuffle. 5-10 mins after our arrival another reservation for our time arrived with same party size and they were seated without even a pause at the host stand. 10 mins after we should have been seated I asked the status and was offered a high top table (in the bar area) for me and my 2 young sons, teenage son and husband. We declined and then waited another 10 mins for them to seat us. I was ready to just leave but didn't want to cook on Mother's day. Our server, Tyler, however took what could have been a disappointing evening and was just so pleasant that we ended up having a nice meal even with a poor start and EXTREMELY slow kitchen. Staff the host stand with people who can handle more than one thing at once and seat your reservations appropriately. Simple. read more

Try to make it here for half price sushi nights + happy hour when we can...the sushi is phenomenal! The most gigantic sushi rolls I've ever seen, well prepared and huge portions. We love the comfy atmosphere and have always had top notch service. This place gets quite busy around 6ish, so you'll have the best luck making it an early supper while enjoying those happy hour specials, as well! While we haven't had a bad roll yet, the King Kong takes the cake. Yum! read more

Soooo really random review here... my bf is staying at the hotel for two nights. I'm currently in a different state but wanted to do something nice for him! I call the restaurant when Becca answered the phone. At first, service was friendly and she was open to my request of buying him a drink over the phone since he was at the bar. She took my info down, asked the bartender if it was Ok, then I gave my cc info. This was at 8:35pm. I ordered him a whisky and coke. About 20 min goes by and I still hadn't heard from him (which is odd knowing he'd call me the second the drink got delivered) I wait a few min longer before deciding to call back. 9:00pm now. Becca answers again and I asked her if she knew if the drink was delivered, she said she didn't but would check. I also asked during this time if they were busy, which she said they weren't (it's Monday night) so I said thank you and hung up. Still... nothing. No call or text from my bf. Because it was a surprise drink, I had to resort to calling my friends wife to get ahold of her husband who was at the bar to go ask the bartender where the drink was because becca seemed to disappear on me. So FINALLY 9:28 the call comes in... almost an hour later to get one drink that was paid for and tipped for over the phone.
