While dining and after we left, I was trying to figure out what they liked about this spot. The service was nothing special and the food was meh. I hadn't ate all day so I finished my food, but nobody else in my party was happy with their orders. I ordered the BBQ tri tip sandwich and subbed the fries for a side salad. My relatives got the cheeseburger and the oak fired 16oz ribeye. My BBQ tri tip sandwich was so difficult to eat as a sandwich since the meat was tough and the bread got soggy super fast. I ended up taking the sandwich apart, slicing the meat, and creating a makeshift steak salad. My aunt did not like her cheeseburger at all. My uncle's ribeye was cooked more than he had asked for. Cool Atmosphere, but Service & Food fell short... I really wanted to love this place because the vibe is awesome. It has that old-school cowboy theme with the swinging wooden doors and a bunch of dollar bills tacked to the ceiling. Very cool spot to hang out, but unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to the look. I came in with a party of 4 and the wait for the dining area was 30-50 minutes. We managed to squeeze into a tiny table with high stools in the bar area just to get seated. We waited quite a while for service until a bartender finally made eye contact and took our order. The Food... well I ordered 12oz Tri-Tip ($32 market price): Honestly, I was disappointed. The steak was dry and lacked flavor. To make it worse, I was given a knife but no fork, so by the time I actually got a fork, my food was cold. I asked for A1 sauce to help with the dryness, but they don't carry it. My brother ordered the Grilled 1/2lb Cheeseburger and my sister and her boyfriend shared the Tri-Tip Sandwich. I ended up taking most of my meal to go because it just wasn't hitting the mark. Great place for a drink and the Western vibes, but the service and kitchen need some coordination. What a great place! We got there before dinner which was perfect, it gave us time to soak in the place! From the dollar bills on the ceiling to the animal heads, guns and even the fun restroom signs. When we asked for recommendations from the bartender she responded with an emphatic "steak". To get right down to it, the ribeye was one of the best I've ever had! My grandmother brought me to this restaurant to enjoy a meal at the end of a day out together. It's one of her favorite restaurants and she wanted to share it with me. The 19th Hole is exactly what you would expect of a cowboy saloon, and it's not uncommon to see cowboys there. The main restaurant is a little dark, but it fits the moody ambiance. My grandmother and I split a ribeye steak dinner, which was plenty for the two of us. The waitresses were more than accommodating with letting us split the meal. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious, and the garlic bread was incredibly buttery. My grandmother enjoyed the baked potato and roasted vegetables. I will definitely be returning here when I visit my grandparents next time. read more

Oh my gosh! My six girlfriends took me dinner at this place for a retirement party. Wow! From the minute we walked in were greeted warmly and seated quickly by Shawna, the owner. Alex let us chat a bit and took our drink orders. She recommended the spicy margarita which was yummy and delicious. A margarita made with quality tequila and fresh lime juice. Next for my dinner, I ordered the skirt steak. Two large pieces with nothing but meat, no fat, nothing chewy. Medium rare cooked to perfection. It was an excellent choice. Alex was more than accommodating twice having to add on more drinks to the bill. No idea that we ended up closing down the restaurant. They were gracious about letting us stay a bit longer. It genuinely pains me to write this review because this has been one of my favorite restaurants--until now. This was our third visit, and we drive all the way from Morgan Hill because we've loved it that much. Unfortunately, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I dine with my kids, so I always order promptly to minimize wait time--kids can't sit around for hours waiting to eat. We arrived at 5:22 pm, and my daughter didn't receive her chicken nuggets until 6:20 pm. During that time, the rest of our food was also missing. At one point, the waitress asked, "You didn't get your hamburger?"--which was pretty obvious considering there are four of us and we were all sharing fries from the one plate on the table. Eventually, two hamburgers came out after my daughter had already finished eating. My steak sandwich was still missing at that point. What made it worse was the lack of concern from our waitress throughout the entire experience. No real check-ins, no urgency, no acknowledgment of how long we had been waiting. A different staff member--who was very kind--finally explained that the wind was affecting the grill. I truly appreciated finally getting an explanation and completely understand that things like that happen. My sandwich did come out with a generous amount of meat, which I'll give credit for. But by then, the experience was already soured. What also felt odd was that the family of five seated next to us (who arrived 20 mins after us) received all of their food before we received any of ours, and they appeared to know several people working there. It made the "grill issue" explanation feel inconsistent, especially since it supposedly only impacted our table. I hate leaving this review because I really loved this place, but the service and wait time were unacceptable--especially for a family. I hope this is taken as constructive feedback, because I would love to be able to enjoy this restaurant again the way we used to. read more

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. We received the worst service here. We arrived at the restaurant, and were told that the wait would be 45 minutes to be seated, which was fine, we waited the 45 minutes. We were sat for 10 minutes before anyone came to take our Drink order . the restaurant looked full, however, most of the tables had food on them. When the waitress took our orders she did come off as irritated and unfriendly. we waited another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive at the table, and then when the drinks were dropped off, she didn't take our order. We just figured that the waitress would be back. However, after 15 more minutes. a different waitress came and took our order. we then proceeded to wait 40 minutes and still no food. the original waitress came and asked about our drinks, and we said , yeah just waiting on the food. she proceeded to tell us that the kitchen is backed up And walked away. at this point , the table next to us that was sat 5 minutes before us, had appetizers, their full steak dinners (4 of them) , and paid the bill and left. when that waitress was cleaning the table, we politely called her over and asked if we could get an eta on when our food was gonna be out. which she proceeded to hostilely talk down on me and my boyfriend , that the food is raw and that it takes time to cook the food from raw to prepared. and that the kitchen was backed up. at this point in time however, the restaurant had 3 couples in there. My boyfriend, was so confused by the hostility he asked is it because we are black ? what is this? the 1950's ? The manager had come out and apologized for the wait, he did comp some of the food. but people need to be warned about the fact that if you're a person of color you probably won't be welcomed. we literally just ordered a few steak sandwiches, and onion rings. definitely shouldn't have taken that long and we definitely should not have been treated that way. TL;DR - The service we received really tanked my review. 1 star service but the burger and the beers are worth the visit. A no frills dining experience with top notch burgers and local beer on tap. We came in a little before 4pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. We accidentally entered at the bar and were not greeted/welcomed, I'm assuming (kindly) that it's because it wasn't the main entrance. We found the host and were seated promptly in a little back add on room (max capacity: 12). However, our server took exactly 10 minutes to greet us, which was a tough start given the lack of crowd. (Honestly, I was starving and was planning to go back to the bar had it been a minute more.) We ordered the Hawaiian IPA and the Kolsch from Brewery Twenty Five and they were incredibly refreshing! Cute branded pint glasses. We also ordered jalapeno poppers and they come with a plastic side of ranch (no frills, again). Perfect breaded and fried with a healthy (err unhealthy?) amount of cream cheese! When our server returned, we ordered the hard rider and cowboy burger. Both were typical, classic burgers.
