What a great place! We got there before dinner which was perfect, it gave us time to soak in the place! From the dollar bills on the ceiling to the animal heads, guns and even the fun restroom signs. When we asked for recommendations from the bartender she responded with an emphatic "steak". To get right down to it, the ribeye was one of the best I've ever had! Cooked over a wood fire- perfectly cooked and huge! My wife and friend got the skirt steak which the both swore it was the best they've ever had. I was was doubtful but it was fuckin Amazing! Service , ambience were all great. Go there now

The location was extremely local, it seemed like everyone in town was here. Didn't get a seat at the restaurant so we ordered food at the bar. There wasn't much service to speak of since we had to order at the bar. It was loud but the vibes were very local and bar like. The food was good. The steak was perfectly made. The garlic bread wasn't anything to die for. But the baked potato and the broccoli was also good.

The venue gave us the perfect balance of outdoor charm and indoor comfort. On the day of the wedding one thing I noticed as I walked in to set up; was everything was clean and the venue smelled fresh and clean. The ceremony was held on the patio, followed by a reception inside, and it easily accommodated 130 guests in rounds. From what I understand if we did rectangle family style we could have accommodated more, and had more design flexibility. From the very beginning, Eric was professional, welcoming, and a pleasure to coordinate with. He took the time to meet with us beforehand to go over details on multiple occasions, which made the planning process smooth and stress-free. I had the opportunity to meet his other half, Meghan as well. She was genuinely nice. She is a hairstylist in the area and although we did not utilize her services, and if you are all about timing and being efficient then this might be for you; it is a one stop shop just in separate locations. If you want to get your hair done for your special event then you should reach out to them and ask for a consultation, it is one less thing to coordinate. Even though I have experience in coordinating weddings, I appreciated Eric's insights. It is clear he knows their venue best, and his suggestions helped everything come together seamlessly. Once he recognized my ability to coordinate, and my attention to detail, he allowed me to step in, and the collaboration between the two of us made the entire experience fun, enjoyable along with some friendly banter between all of us. The Barn itself is a beautiful space, versatile enough for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations. Between the atmosphere, the attentive staff, and Eric's guidance, the entire day felt effortless and memorable. I would highly recommend The Barn for weddings, private parties, or any special event. It's a hidden gem in Tres Pinos, and we're grateful for the wonderful experience!

By this point in the trip, we were fully committed to our "tapas style everything" philosophy. Why order one entrée each when you can create a tiny feast and slowly steal bites off each other's plates with zero shame? Over the two evenings, we shared the Berry Burrata Salad, Beet & Spinach Salad, cauliflower, Seared Ahi Tuna, Dungeness crab cakes, Angel Hair Pasta with shrimp, and lava cake. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the kind of texture that makes Italians nod approvingly from a distance. The crab cakes were flavorful and satisfying, and the beet salad thankfully avoided the tragic fate of being "healthy but boring." The lava cake was gloriously decadent and absolutely understood its assignment. The ahi tuna was good, though I wished for a bit more flavor to stand up to the wasabi situation happening on the plate. The Berry Burrata Salad was the only dish that felt a little sleepy. The berries seemed more decorative than committed. In a region overflowing with gorgeous local strawberries, I wanted the salad to lean harder into its fruity potential. Cocktail-wise, the pomegranate margarita was refreshing, balanced, and dangerously easy to keep sipping. Service was a mixed bag between the two nights. The first evening, our server gave off strong "this table again?" energy, and we had to remind her about bread. Meanwhile, one of the chefs stopped by to warmly thank us for dining there, which completely shifted the tone and genuinely stood out. Night two was a different experience altogether. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel much more relaxed and welcoming. The space itself is lovely, warm, comfortable, with that slightly old-school elegance that makes you want to linger over another drink and pretend you are not in your hiking clothesq

I had fun and thought it was a great place to take a date or hang out with family and friends. Definitely great for kids. As we entered from the parking lot, we found ourselves right in the thick of the concessions area. There was only one place to get food, which had tri tip sandwiches, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, and nachos. The tri tip sandwich was surprisingly good. It was so good that I ordered a second. Although this tasted amazing and all, my only gripe about the food was that there wasn't any variety. The bar area had limited types of alcohol as well. They only sold wine, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, White Claw, and Coors. There was a second bar located at the bottom of the hill where the stage was located, and it had similar selections. All seating at this venue was general, because it's basically one big grassy hill. With that said, you'll want to bring a low lawn chair and/or blanket and then find your spot on the grass. There was a dance pit right in front of the stage, and anyone could go down to it. I was impressed by how good the sound was especially for an open venue. We were sitting towards the top of the hill for the most part and were able to hear the singer clearly. The venue itself was pretty. I loved seeing the rolling Hollister Hills in the background behind the stage while the sun set and casted beautiful colors. There was also a clear night sky, so looking up to the stars and the Harvest full moon while rocking out to some favorite classics was truly romantic.
