Bread pudding bites and a fantastic truffle
    Andre B.

I was shocked at how good this dining experience was. First, the service was impeccable. Two people looking after our table making sure everything was perfect. The revamped space was very elegant and well done. Lastly, the food was superb. We started with tuna carpaccio and the beet salad. For mains we had seafood risotto and salmon. Finally, dessert was a chocolate cherry cake as well bread pudding bites and a truffle as a gift for our anniversary. Everything was professionally plated with attention to detail. Amazing meal without having to travel to a big city. Made my special evening into a very memorable experience.

Had such an amazing experience here. The manager (I believe his name was James) was so welcoming and checked on us multiple times. He strives to have a nice restaurant in town, where you actually have to dress nice for. The bartender Ally was SO NICE and her drinks were incredible! We had a couple of special requests and she accommodated them without hesitation. Our server was so nice, she apologized any time anything took too long even though nothing really took that long for a busy valentines night. The ambiance was so nice, we will absolutely be returning!

In Hollister on business. Didn't have a lot of expectations and then 36 knocks it out of the park! I sat at the bar and was served by a very attentive and friendly (in just the right amount) Julio. The room is gorgeous with an equally gorgeous view. If I didn't have to work tomorrow I would have finished the night on the patio watching the shadows cross the fields and fairways. I had the Apricot Chicken. I actually seek out airline/statler/French cut chicken and this was the best. The manager Mindy stopped by to check on things as well. I can't recommend highly enough

This restaurant is a gem! Food is delicious, cocktails are outstanding and the service was great! It's a really beautiful restaurant and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes! Oh and did I mention their desserts! So yummy!

Was greeted by a nice gentleman "Raul" who accommodated us with our table under the beautiful olive tree. Our waiter Sophia was also very fabulous and recommended very tasty food. I give the food and drinks 5 stars. Everything about our dinner this evening was amazing. It is also inexpensive and you get a great portion for what you pay. Not to forget they have a kids hidden menu, you need to ask what is available. My daughter had butter pasta and felt so fancy eating with how cute her food presentation was. See pictures for reference, chicken Marsala and Plum Blossom specialty drink and of course our complimentary anniversary dessert

This will be our new "go-to" in town for special occasions. The service is absolutely amazing. Both managers stopped by to check in on us & water filled/plates cleared promptly. Food presentation was beautiful (I think our party of 8 had just about everything) and delicious. This is a wonderful addition to our community!

Vine and pint was the same, packed but bar top was open so we grabbed a seat and ordered my wife and I some sliders as an afternoon snack! Chatted with the bar tender and learned more about the festivities going on since it was a Friday before halloween so I was curious if Gilroy was always so lively or it was just that weekend. Bartender was great and even offered me a few samples of the local brews just to try. Honestly didn't recall which things but I do recall one was a sour and ipa for the first time. But I think I enjoyed the one that tasted like a sangria. I joked about hearing that Gilroy was garlic capital so asked if there was a garlic beer since I saw somewhere there was garlic ice cream, but unfortunately there wasn't a garlic beer on tap so no luck there. Soon afterwards our sliders came and we got to enjoy our afternoon snack before heading out to locate me a sample of garlic ice cream in the garlic capital! Sliders were good and medium well! I can see this street being busy and parking hard to get on a weekend. The restaurant has plenty of tables but no outside seating. There is a large bar with a great selection of wine, spirits and beer. The team serving us was welcoming and attentive. They knew their wines and were happy to make great recommendations. Our party did not get to order from the food menu because it was a preset menu for dinner. There was a buffet with a protein, vegetables, salad and dessert. I took one star off because of how greasy the food was. Other than that hiccup, I would come back here on my own. The service was outstanding - attentive but no pressure. An upscale place in downtown Gilroy. I highly recommend.

The music playing was loud mariachi type which is fine by me. I'll mention that my guy friend and I are as white as they come and I was nervous going to this establishment as it's obviously geared towards the Hispanic community. However, there were no problems and we all got along just fine. I mention the race thing because unless you've been living under a rock, there's always a divide between Hispanics and whites and whatever and a lot of the community assumes it's too dangerous to be downtown at night because of that fact. I was born and raised in Gilroy I know how it goes . However I refuse to let that keep anybody from relaxing and having a good time..it's ridiculous to hate for no reason. There were no problems we had fun. Thank goodness there is an establishment open til 2am on most nights. We've been there twice so far. Second time was more crowded and it was a good time, no fights and no super drunk people Bring quarters for pool, there's only 2 tables. People were nice enough to let us play instead of claiming a table for the night. I would give 5 stars if they had shuffleboard and more pool tables. Maybe open earlier also like 12 for those that want to spend a day off practicing their pool game.

Our experience was pretty good, with some highs and lows. Here are a few of my observations: We arrived to a restaurant half filled. We were greeted warmly and seated in the section where all the tables were filled to make it easier on the service team. Tables were pretty close together...a little too cozy for my taste. Our server took about 5 minutes to greet us. Since we had plenty of time to look over the menu, we went ahead and ordered our appetizer, main, and two glasses of local Folktale sparkling rose. The sparkling wine was not chilled properly. Hmmm...that's a poor start to our meal. Food: we started with the flaming halloumi (5/5). Great flambé service to the table. Crispy edges and salty mild cheese. Great start to the food. For our entree, we shared the Greek combination plate (4/5). The grilled chicken was moist and flavorful. The gyro meat was overcooked and dry...but had decent flavor. The taziki and hummus were very tasty, as well as the rice. All in all, the food was pretty darn good. Service: pretty disappointing to be honest. Besides never checking back with us after our appetizer and entree was delivered, I had to ask twice and flag our server down to get some red pepper flakes. There must have been a shift change, as a new server checked on us as we were finishing our meal. We appreciated our new attentive, proactive, and friendly server helping us at the end of our meal. The surprise and highlight of the meal was the complimentary bite of baklava (7/5). More cinnamon than I'm used to in a very good way. Loved it! Not sure I'll be back to Dametra anytime soon. However, I would absolutely stop in for a plate of that baklava! Amazing!!
