We ordered the Tiramisu Iced Latte and the Pistachio Iced Latte, and both were excellent. The coffee was incredibly smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The foam on both drinks was thick, creamy, and added a nice touch without overpowering the coffee. The shop itself is clean, modern, and has a relaxed vibe. You can tell they care about the quality of what they serve, from the coffee beans to the presentation of the drinks. They also had a great-looking pastry selection that we'll definitely have to come back and try. Stopped by Craving yesterday, a new coffee and pastry shop in Hacienda Heights, and had a great experience. The service was excellent, and everyone was so friendly. The barista was awesome--I really enjoyed the pour-over coffee and their seasonal affogato. They serve Onyx Coffee, which was excellent. Their fresh Chinese pastries, made daily, were so good that we even bought some to go. I'll definitely be back! I noticed some reviews saying the owner was mean, but that wasn't my experience at all. This cafe is such a unique concept that offers Chinese pastries!! I love that they have a really wide variety of coffees and matchas that pair really nicely with both the American and Chinese pastries! My favorite was definitely the pecan cookie latte. The cookie paired so well with the coffee, and I highly recommend dipping the cookie in the cream. I also tried the blue matcha coconut and yuzu tonic. Having moved to the 626 from OC, one of the things I missed most about Orange County was its excess of cute aesthetic little coffee shops to have little dates and friend meet ups at. I love all the boba shops we have in the 626, but I still love myself a classic coffee shop menu with lattes, americanos and a good strong matcha. We first came to Cravings when they'd only been open a few weeks. Everyone was so friendly, and I was greeted warmly by the owner Benny, who was happy to walk me through their menu and their most popular drinks. Since it was my first time, I had just a regular vanilla latte, and it was perfect! Not too sweet, fantastic espresso flavor. I loved my coffee so much that after meeting my family for dim sum next door, I brought them all over after for an afternoon coffee too! They ordered a pour-over Eclipse coffee, a Tiramisu Latte, and one of their matchas. They also might have switched one of our drinks with another on the bar, which was an honest mistake and we didn't mind at all. They remedied the error, and Benny came over to explain they were still training their baristas and gave us a few of their house-made cookies (very good and so nostalgic!) I'll be back again and again. This is my new 626 coffee shop, and I love the little promos and updates you get when you sign up for their rewards program. This is my new favorite cafe and matcha spot in Hacienda Heights! GET THE BLACK SESAME MATCHA (if you love nuttiness)! I've just unlocked my new favorite spot to get work done in Hacienda Heights. Finding a cafe that's open late, has fast WiFi, and actually has plenty of available outlets is a rare find, but Cravings hits all the marks. The space is super spacious and setup perfectly for studying or WFH. On top of the great work environment, the menu is fantastic. I tried the Black Sesame Matcha and it's honestly one of the best I've ever had--perfectly earthy and nutty. Service was also wonderful. We also loaded up on snacks: the Duo Matcha, Tiramisu Latte, and a mix of pastries including their Wife Cake, Pineapple Cake, Golden Tarts (Red Bean and Lotus Seed), Crispy Pecan Cookies, and a Kouign Amann. A few people have dropped in. Service was quick. If you love a bright, airy, and minimalist coffee shop, this is the place to be. I had a good experience at Cravings Coffee (Hacienda Heights). I ordered the Pistachio Latte ($6.50 - Iced). I felt a welcomed, enduring energy after sipping. The coffee is not memorable, but it's reliable. I arrived at Cravings Coffee (Hacienda Heights) on Monday (around 10:27AM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE! It's by the 99 Ranch Market. Staff is professional and polite. Staff felt well-scripted and kept saying "bro" in every sentence, but there's a friendly appeal. Staff worked hard. The drink took two minutes and 56 seconds. Great time! As mentioned, I ordered the Pistachio Latte ($6.50 - Iced). Its appearance is alluring, and the ingredients are high-quality. YUM! However, this coffee is lackluster. It tastes like quality, milky coffee with pistachios plopped on top. There's barely any pistachio flavor. For example, if someone served Vanilla Ice Cream and dropped Pistachios on it, that doesn't create Pistachio Ice Cream. In addition, the cup was packed with ice (about 3 fifths ice). On ambiance, Cravings Coffee (Hacienda Heights) is a study/work paradise. There's eight electrical outlets! WOW! There's also customer internet with password; customers must ask staff for the details. There's plentiful tables and one very long table in the middle. The location also has a gender neutral restroom in the back. Cravings Coffee (Hacienda Heights) is also very clean and spacious. I enjoyed the tall ceiling and slow-tempo music. It felt very well-ventilated and comfortable. Overall, I had a good experience at Cravings Coffee (Hacienda Heights). There's sincere utility and reliability at this business. Omgggg the way they're the first people I've seen to make a pineapple matcha and I could not be more excited that they executed the hell out of that. I was sold even more when they mentioned that it was the same pineapple puree they make in house for their pastries. It was so good that it makes me want to try all their other drinks. I also had the tiramisu latte and the cold foams are done so well. Their pastries are so special. I like that they were all light and not too sweet, which is the biggest compliment. We met the owner, Benny, an awesome guy, who shared with us his and his wife's inspiration for the cafe and we totally are into it! Cravings offer home made traditional Chinese pastries, all freshly baked by the wife and she stays long hours to bake these beloved delicious pastries for the customers. We had quite a few and we love especially the watermelon mochi one, the almond cookies, a great twist to the traditional small almond cookies, the mung bean and red bean pastries, so yummy! They are all nicely and fancily boxed and wrapped. Next the drinks, so aesthetically pleasant to the eyes and wonderfully flavored to the taste buds. We ordered quite a few for our family and came to the right place at the right time in order to try everything. I like their matcha quite much, subtle and smooth. I also tried the black sesame matcha, that was my first for me and it was very nutty and flavory! The tiramisu and the pistachio latte were so yummy, and so pretty! The coconut flavor came through nicely without overpowering the matcha. I also tried the Wife Cake and the Crispy Pecan Cookie. My friend took me this place to study and this was honestly the best study/cafe spot. It wasn't nosy and distracting. The vibes were cute and peaceful.
