It was warmed upon request and the layers were chewy, buttery and formed a perfectly crystallized sugar crust on the outside. I'd come back just for this because it was baked so well and I'm a sucker for a laminated, flaky pastry. I ordered a latte with oat milk, but it was so thin and hot it felt like it might have been just steamed milk added to freshly brewed coffee instead of steamed milk and espresso. It would seem like the place has been quite successful. The owners recently announced they are planning to open a second location in Palm Desert. BUT, I just learned recently that Les Filles charges higher pricing than their posted prices if the customer uses a credit card AND rather than break out those additional prices on the receipt, the upcharge is automatically included in the item price. Not sure why they do this but the I experience that practice to be deceptive. I am not excited to go back to Les Filles or recommend it to others. Buyer beware!!!
