Absolutely a pleasure to work with Lisa. She went above and beyond with my order. I called her on Thursday, she delivered a custom design cake on Saturday. I didn't have any cake design in mind to begin with, spoke with her on the phone, bounced back a few ideas, she sent over some inspo, i gave her feedback. She immediately gets it and a detailed description of the design is formed. She is professional, easy to communicate with and helpful. Everyone raved about how beautiful the cake is. We are so happy with the end result! Thank you so much Lisa! Highly recommend to anyone looking for the best cake service in Yucca Valley/ Palm Spring / Joshua Tree area!

Karl the cat - carrot cake. So good! With buttercream frosting

Yes! Yes! Yes! 100% deliciousness! If you need a special desert with a beautiful design that makes your event truly memorable, this is the place to go! From start to finish, Lisa was a delight to work with; professional, personable, accommodated every request. Lisa made great suggestions when I was unsure about what I needed. 3 cakes, 3 flavors and 3 special designs for a birthday celebration. Loved the tiramisu cake, the carrot cake was delicious and the chocolate cake so very good! All wrapped in real butter cream icing!!!! The talk of the party. Definitely captured everyone's attention and so very, very delicious.!!!

I found Lisa on Yelp, and her cake's are delicious! My sister was eloping and I wanted to get a her a custom wedding cake on a short notice. Speaking with Lisa, you can tell right away that she is very passionate! She gave good suggestions and went over many different flavors and options. You can really tell that she loves what she does! She was also very accommodating. I had to pick up the cake early, and that was no issue at all. Very thoughtful! I ordered a churro cake with strawberries, and vanilla bean buttercream. Even the buttercream itself, was delicious. Everyone loved the cake! The cake came out perfect, truly could not have come out any better. My sister and hubby are already planning to order a cake for the 1 year anniversary! Absolutely delicious! Thanks again Lisa for all your help! :)

Lisa was such a joy to work with. We just moved out here and she helped me on short notice with some custom birthday cookies for my daughter's birthday. Not only were they delicious but they were beautiful. She called me to talk through the order and had everything ready for pick up, beautifully wrapped. Absolutely recommend Lisa for any of your special occasions!

Lemon blueberry cake with blueberry filling. Whimsical desert theme.

Lisa's cakes are out this world amazing!!!!! We were in Joshua Tree from Orange County and I needed a last minute cake for my husband's 50th birthday. Very very last minute. I found Fine Art Cookies through Yelp and Lisa responded immediately. She was able to make a lemon blueberry cake that was BEAUTIFULLY decorated and ready to go in well under 24 hours. Not only were we blown away by the fast turn around but- seriously- the best tasting cake and icing any of us had ever experienced. We have been to many Newport Beach events featuring top notch cakes/desserts by renowned pastry chefs and Lisa/Fine Art Cookies blew all those culinary experiences away by a long shot. The only thing we are sad about is that she is in Yucca Valley and not here- although I would make the drive (seriously) if I have an important cake need- she's just that good. If you are local to the Joshua Tree area or are visiting - don't miss this opportunity to try out one of her stunning creations! Just be prepared that it will set the bar so high that you'll be forever chasing the tail of the pastry dragon afterwards!

Highly recommend Lisa for cakes in the high desert! We hired her to bake our vegan cake for our wedding in Joshua Tree in October 2022. Many bakers out there either don't do vegan, were overpriced, or didn't even respond to our requests. Lisa, however, provided quick, exceptional communication. She had many, vegan flavor options and we went with a churro flavored cake with a vegan buttercream. It was AMAZING! All of our guests raved how good it was (even the non-vegans). Hire Lisa!

We were in for the weekend to enjoy a dear friend's birthday and wanted a special cake to celebrate. I was so happy to find Lisa and she was incredibly prompt in her response time, warm and friendly! The cake was gorgeous and exactly how I wanted it decorated. The intangibles? You could feel the love she puts into her craft.. with..every..single..delicious..bite!! Thank you Lisa for making our weekend extra special

Lisa responded immediately and we were on the phone in less than 15 minutes. I was on town visiting for my partners bday. She gave me a very thorough consultation and we had our plan within 20-30 minutes. She had it ready for my next day request and it was just amazing. Best tasting carrot cake we've eaten in a very, very long time. If you're in the Yucca Valley Area please please go to Lisa!

Ok! I'm SF born, love my local artists! Given I turn 40 this year, told my husband I'd be E-40'ing my birthday , i didn't expect anyone to play into my theme (no one ever does). Planned to celebrate my 40th birthday in Joshua tree. Making the long drive down from the bay was told we'd stop by someone's house for a cake (whaaaaaaa?) Just cut into my one-of-a-kind DELICIOUS cake baked by Lisa!!! I was blown away, assumed there would be a Joshua tree on my cake- couldn't be happier it's an E-40 gold chains cake instead! Mil Gracias (a thousand thank you-s)

German Chocolate Cake

Don't let the name fool you! This business serves more than cookies! Lisa is such a creative! While in Yucca Valley this summer, I chose Lisa to make a German Chocolate cake for my boyfriend's 50th birthday. I was worried that some people may not care for coconut so Lisa suggested and used a mixture of coconut and buttercream for the frosting. The cake was absolutely delicious (and I don't usually care for cake!). Lisa also delivered the cake to our house which was so helpful. I highly recommend using Lisa! She was very quick to respond and make sure she had the order just right for what I envisioned. Definitely will use her again when in the area!

A very cordial, pleasant, and kind young lady working there just the other day. A surprisingly lovely glazed donut I might say. But I kept looking around there thinking "in a small town like this how can they even sell enough donuts to keep this joint open but they obviously do". I could think of some simple things that could be added, but I wouldn't want to give away my secrets. All throughout the United States there are donut shops that have the same recipe apparently, not sure how that works? A lot of them are Asian run in the San Francisco area. I always laughed at the signs that would say "Donuts and Chinese Food" before walking in I would always say to myself: "Nothing like a good egg fu yung jelly doughnut"! Yeah, this spot could use a little more hipness for just spending a few dollars on some paint and artwork, etc. there would probably be a line more often. I don't know. I wasn't there on a weekend. Also, the beautiful new laundromat or remodeled laundromat next-door should really be a good revenue source for the hungry laundry goer....... But certainly grab a doughnut. They're very tasty. So keep heading up the road a bit to Joshua Tree as there are many cute little shops in the three block area there which I guess is called downtown Joshua Tree? I really dig all the new modern prefabs that are popping up which appeared to be primarily Airbnb joints(?)- a lot of style man! Yeah, I'll be back. I met some really cool people in that couple of blocks. If you haven't been there then hop in your car and drive up there right now and get yourself a nice little jelly doughnut...... "Thank ya. Thank ya very much".

At 2 bucks and change it was just fine and a fair value. Glass case and pink boxes, you would think that's charming, it's not. The decor is firmly stuck in the 70s but not in that mid century stylish way. The laundromat nexr store was freshened and modernized recently. Some thought and about 15k could offer much needed updates. Don't change your cashier though, she was wonderful.

ANYWAY. We have been here a couple of times - will usually stop by here when we're in Joshua Tree. On Saturdays, there is a Farmer's Market in the parking lot, so it gets pretty crowded. This last time we went, I got an iced strawberry matcha, and my partner got the chai iced tea. Both with almond milk. They still charge a surplus for non-dairy, which feels so 2022. But anyway. The drinks were delicious. We also got an almond croissant, which doesn't look like much, but it was AMAZING. And then the quiches. Oh, the quiches. I had such high hopes for these, especially since we were primed with refreshing drinks and a tasty pastry. These quiches are muffin-sized, perfect for a light meal or a heavier snack, and they look super cute. They will heat them up for you. When we went, they had bacon cheddar and spinach feta. We got one of each. My friends, these were so disappointing. First, no flavor. We asked for ketchup or hot sauce to give it a bit of acid, because it was basically egg all the way through. Solid wall of egg that tasted like the powdered egg you get at one of those corporate conference catered breakfasts. I had one tiny sliver of bacon in mine, and my partner was playing hide and seek with the spinach, and the spinach was winning. The crust itself was rubbery and chewy, not flaky like I would expect a quiche to be. I mean, it was palatable and not super expensive. I'm just not sure if you're selling food, you want it to just be "palatable". Last time, we got a savory veggie pie, and that was pretty good, so they DO have good savory foods. I think the quiches were just a huge miss this time. Bathroom is clean and single-stalled. Parking is easy in the lot, and on Farmer's Market days, I mean, c'mon, it's Joshua Tree, it's not like there isn't space on the streets too.
