The raspberry tart, the chocolate banana bread, coconut chocolate macaroon. Let me just say that the macaroon is out of this world. One thing I did not is that the inside of it is dry. I would suggest eating this with milk or an iced cold drink. It wasn't too packed for a Sunday. The cashier was friendly and I found it cute how she was holding her baby and working at the same time. When in Joshua Tree I would really make it a point to go to Luna's Sourdough Bakery.

So keep heading up the road a bit to Joshua Tree as there are many cute little shops in the three block area there which I guess is called downtown Joshua Tree? Some thought and about 15k could offer much needed updates. Don't change your cashier though, she was wonderful.

ANYWAY. We have been here a couple of times - will usually stop by here when we're in Joshua Tree. On Saturdays, there is a Farmer's Market in the parking lot, so it gets pretty crowded. This last time we went, I got an iced strawberry matcha, and my partner got the chai iced tea. Both with almond milk. They still charge a surplus for non-dairy, which feels so 2022. But anyway. The drinks were delicious. We also got an almond croissant, which doesn't look like much, but it was AMAZING. And then the quiches. Oh, the quiches. I had such high hopes for these, especially since we were primed with refreshing drinks and a tasty pastry. These quiches are muffin-sized, perfect for a light meal or a heavier snack, and they look super cute. They will heat them up for you. When we went, they had bacon cheddar and spinach feta. We got one of each. My friends, these were so disappointing. First, no flavor. We asked for ketchup or hot sauce to give it a bit of acid, because it was basically egg all the way through. Solid wall of egg that tasted like the powdered egg you get at one of those corporate conference catered breakfasts. I had one tiny sliver of bacon in mine, and my partner was playing hide and seek with the spinach, and the spinach was winning. The crust itself was rubbery and chewy, not flaky like I would expect a quiche to be. I mean, it was palatable and not super expensive. I'm just not sure if you're selling food, you want it to just be "palatable". Last time, we got a savory veggie pie, and that was pretty good, so they DO have good savory foods. I think the quiches were just a huge miss this time. Bathroom is clean and single-stalled. Parking is easy in the lot, and on Farmer's Market days, I mean, c'mon, it's Joshua Tree, it's not like there isn't space on the streets too.

We're so lucky to have found Lisa/Fine Art Cookies to handle all our desserts at our wedding. She is not only an incredible baker and artist but an absolute JOY to communicate and brainstorm with. Both my husband and I were blown away by her attention to detail, creativity, and willingness to adapt her recipes for our ideas. She created our beautiful vintage-inspired wedding cake as well as an array of 4 different cupcake flavors, all with varying ingredients to accommodate our guests different dietary needs. Not to mention she offers delivery and it saved the day because as with weddings... we had far less time in the day than we expected! We were in 29 Palms and everything arrived in perfect condition when she dropped it off. It was a relief to have a professional like Lisa handling all things dessert for us! Word to the wise: do NOT miss the chance to try her 'Kentucky Butter' flavor -- that's what we ended up going with for our wedding cake and we dream about the next time we can head out to dessert and pick up another cake of it. Lisa is a brilliant artist with excellent customer service. If you are looking for a customized, special and memorable gift - that also tastes delicious - than look no further! My best friend from growing up recently got married in Vegas, as they postponed their official wedding for a year due to COVID. I wanted to do something really special for them, as they are both creative-types and are incredible people, so I was so excited to find Lisa. Lisa spent time to develop the concept of the cookies that would reflect their entire COVID/Wedding Vegas experience. Lisa is an Angel! The entire ordering process was impeccable from start to finish. Never had a Vanilla bean buttercream Chocolate cake with Nutella filling.. omgsh It is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The combination of these flavors together is amazing!!! I would've never thought of combining those flavors ! Lisa from Fine Art cookies knows what she's doing! I don't think I can go back to store bought cake now. Not only did she deliver an amazingly delicious cake but I also got to show her a picture of a cake I wanted mine to look like and she delivered !! If it were possible, I would give Lisa 100 stars. She is an incredible artist, baker, and human being. Last weekend, I visited Joshua Tree to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday. After I contacted several area bakeries to order birthday treats for my friend, I discovered Lisa. She swiftly responded to me and was so accommodating. She created AMAZINGLY lovely and delicious cacti-inspired cake cups, and my friend was so touched at such a unique desert-themed birthday treat. I also ordered some of Lisa's cookies, and they were not only legitimate works of art, but PERFECT sugar cookies--dense and still soft with wonderful flavor. I cannot sing her praises highly enough!! I needed a custom cake, and I had been a bit last minute planning it. Lisa got in touch with me and patiently worked through some options, getting a sense of what I had in mind. She quickly intuited how I was imagining it and offered some creative ideas and flourishes, which fit the theme perfectly. We came across Lisa's page by happenstance 10 months out from our wedding when trying to find a cake for another event and after having that cake we knew we needed to have her do our wedding! The food was absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere was fun and lively, and it was the perfect place to celebrate, dance, and party with all of our family and friends. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made everyone feel right at home. TJ, one of the bartenders, was amazing, and working with Mario throughout the planning process was seamless. He was so accommodating, easy to communicate with, and helped bring our vision to life. Everything came together exactly as we had hoped. The only thing I would mention is to make sure your contract and invoices clearly outlines all fees, especially the 20% administration fee. It wasn't reflected on our invoices until the day after the event, so it came as an unexpected surprise. It didn't take away from what was an incredible celebration, but it's definitely something future couples should clarify upfront. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend Rasta Rita to anyone looking for a fun, relaxed, and unforgettable wedding reception venue!

Every time I hop in, there's something new in the fridges, and the drink selection is fantastic. The space itself is super clean and modern, and they carry a better selection of backpacking meals than I've ever seen at any camping store. The owner, Macy, is incredibly friendly and provides excellent customer service, which makes the whole experience even better. They also host a vegan pop-up outside every other Sunday that's absolutely delicious. If you haven't checked out The Ginger Rabbit Market yet, you definitely should. It'll quickly become a regular stop in your errand routine.

(Spicy chicken coconut milk soup)…read more I got a lot of the hard to find ingredients from ginger rabbit..... lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, Thai chilis, fish sauce and even a couple of asian soup spoons. Very cool. The owner Macy is always so helpful, kind and a wealth of information. Love this place and I'm so happy there is such a wonderful Asian Market in Yucca Valley.
