This place is a such a gem to find! The food is delicious and the menu has so many different options, everyone will be happy! The inside is clean and welcoming and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. As first timers here, this made picking our entrees very helpful! This might actually be one of the worst Chinese restaurants I've ever been to and I've been to my fair share of bad ones. We ordered the beef fried rice, pork eggplant, bbq pork, intestines, and seafood boil. Beef fried rice and eggplant were okay, though some people in the party said the fried rice was burnt (not wok hei flavor burnt though). The bbq pork sauce was okay but the meat was extremely dry and tasted like it had been microwaved. The worst offender of them all was the intestines. I love intestines, but it was clear they didn't clean it properly. It literally tasted like poop and the taste lingered in our mouths the rest of the meal. When we asked the waitress to take it back, she didn't even ask what was wrong with it (I think they know the food is not good). We were really excited for the seafood boil, which was also disappointing. We got the shrimp New Orleans seafood boil. It wasn't flavorful at all and had a strange taste to it. The consistency was thick instead of buttery. It's also pretty pricey, especially when considering the quality of the food. I usually never give below 3 stars for a restaurant but this place was especially bad and the service was not great. We came here yesterday and since the food is so good we are back today (Friday). This is a great place for excellent food. We have been here many times,many times. We are actually from the Solano County area in Northern California so this is a real treat. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable and the restaurant staff are very friendly. I'm having Mongolian Chicken and it comes with Hot and Sour Soup. So-so-so good and delicious! My wife is having the Flounder lunch special. If you're looking for great food, come here. Have you ever seen something on Yelp or Instagram that you just had to get in and get immediately? Well, that was my first time last week and the culprit was the salt and pepper pork ribs at Crawfish Asian from the first scene with the beautifully Crispy golden brown ribs being walk tossed to the final elegant plating on the black ceramic dish, it all just screamed delicious, so when Friday hit, I knew what was for dinner! These babies lived up to the visual Hite. Meaty crispy, tender, juicy, all piled high, and then showered with Crispy, fried garlic and freshly shaved jalapeños. The social media post suggested getting it with rice to heat up all the extra crispy, garlic and jalapeños, but I just ate those of my fingers and by the way you need to make sure to ask for a side of the house chili oil because it is the perfect dip to complement these golden brown ribs. For once, I didn't overheat coming here because I came in only to order one thing. And that one thing wasn't an absolute winner and you should get some on your plate! My entire family loves this place and it still stays in our rotation. No new pictures this time around as I have found myself ordering the same items each time centered on appetizers and sides consisting of calamari, wings and garlic noodles. Although this time my wife ordered something new from the chefs menu to the mix, I believe it was the braised beef rib over garlic noodles. A healthy slab of beef rib on a mountain of garlic noodles. It was delicious! The flavor was perfect and the meat tender. If still available on our next visit I may stray away from my go to apps. The service was great as well. The staff really works fast and hard while remaining friendly. Hennessy was excellent. This place is a staple for the locals that know and has so much to offer. Food was more geared towards the western palate and was a tad saltier than my preference, but I am sure I can ask for less salt. I would certainly give them another try again. I came across Crawfish Asian Cuisine while on a business trip to Reno after doing a search on yelp and it caught my attention. The restaurant was only minutes from my hotel located at a large shopping strip close the 395 and Plumb Street and with plenty of parking available during my visit. My Walnut prawns, lightly breaded and very crispy. While they taste great without any condiments I prefer mine with added little bit of chili oil and some soy sauce. I've been coming to Crawfish Asian Cuisine for years, and it's always been a place I enjoy visiting. On this visit, we ordered the Crab Rangoon, Pot Stickers, and the seafood boil in Sweatin' Style. Everything was flavorful, with just the right amount of spice, and the seafood boil was especially delicious. The restaurant was quite busy today, so the service was a little slower than usual, but the staff remained friendly and attentive. Growing up near the Texas Louisiana border, I've eaten my fair share of crawfish, so I was genuinely excited to find a place serving them here in Reno. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of what I expected. The crawfish had a strong muddy flavor, almost as if they hadn't been purged or rinsed properly before cooking. Instead of the clean, seasoned taste I was hoping for, the mud flavor overwhelmed everything else. I tried to give them a chance, but after a few bites I simply couldn't keep eating them. The most disappointing part was the price. I spent a good amount of money, took the bag home, and ended up throwing the entire thing away because I just couldn't enjoy it. We had such a wonderful experience here! Our server, Hennessy, was incredibly attentive and detail-oriented--he made us feel so well taken care of throughout the night. The food was absolutely delicious. I did extensive research before coming to Crawfish Asian Cuisine. Yelp shows a 4.3 rating with nearly 1,000 reviews, and after fighting my cravings for far too long, I finally decided to come in and see what the hype was about. We came in on a Tuesday right after opening, and the restaurant was quiet. There were only a few tables seated throughout our entire visit, so this was not a busy or rushed service. The service was very attentive. Our water glasses were refilled constantly, sometimes when they were barely halfway empty. I understand the intention was good and clearly meant to be thoughtful, but it made the experience feel a bit tense rather than relaxed. A little more space would have made the meal more comfortable. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. The whole grilled squid looked promising when it arrived, but the first bite told a different story. It was extremely overcooked and very chewy, to the point where eating it felt like work. Squid has a very narrow window for tenderness, and this missed it completely. No amount of slicing or lemon helped. The green sauce added little to nothing and did not improve the dish. This was a hard 0 out of 10, and I would strongly recommend skipping it. The oysters were better, but still underwhelming. They were served hot and very garlicky, which initially sounded appealing. Unfortunately, the sauce was surprisingly watery. I was expecting something richer and more cohesive, closer to oysters Rockefeller. Instead, it tasted thin and unfinished. Not bad, but disappointing. I would rate these a 7 out of 10. The garlic lobster noodles ended up being the best thing we ordered, which says a lot. The noodles were coated in a thick, cornstarch-heavy sauce that quickly turned sticky and goopy. Flavor-wise, it was mild and forgettable. The lobster itself was overcooked, stiff, and slightly fishy, which was disappointing, especially given how quiet the restaurant was at the time. There was also very little lobster meat mixed into the noodles, as most of it sat on top rather than being incorporated throughout the dish. For context, I am very familiar with Hong Kong style cooking, especially from South Sacramento, where this cuisine is done properly and consistently. Rich sauces, balanced seasoning, and properly cooked seafood are the standard. Unfortunately, this meal did not meet that standard. By the end of the meal, a clear pattern emerged. Proteins were consistently overcooked. Sauces were either watery or overly thick, with very little balance. Presentation was fine, but texture and execution were repeatedly overlooked, which matters most when seafood is the focus. I wanted this place to live up to its rating, but based on this visit, it did not. I recommend ordering these same dishes for yourself and seeing what you think. read more

I have returned on a Saturday at peak lunch time. There were several tables of people seated. We arrived and were seated about a half hour ago and we are done eating. I am amazed how quickly our food came when they were already busy. Everything was delicious and two of us split one order of General Chicken. There are no lunch specials on the weekend. We ordered brown rice and it turns out we were charged extra for it. It's only about a cup so we each didn't get much rice but I'm stuffed anyway. (:-) The only problem for me here is that I love this General Chicken so much I hesitate to order anything different. Oh well. Maybe next time and I can hardly wait. Service here is excellent. This place is phenomenal. Dare I say--the best Asian food I've had in Reno (and yes, I've eaten at Kwok's many times). The location is unassuming (next to a Dotty's I believe in the airport shopping center) but do not let that deter you from this absolute gem. We got the chow mein, the sizzling rice soup, the pot stickers, the crispy orange beef, and general's chicken. Everything was delicious. The pot stickers were clearly homemade and were perfectly crispy with fantastic fillings. The chicken and beef was just as good even the second day as leftovers, heated up in my air fryer. And I was so excited to see sizzling rice soup on the menu; it's not something I see often.
