    Wonton soup (special dinner)
    Lesly M.

I really wanted to give this place the opportunity since whenever I passed by I saw the menu and it looked attractive. My first impression was not very good since it was 6 pm on Saturday and there was only one couple. After we arrived, two more couples arrived but it was still a little uncomfortable to eat or talk since everything was very quiet. There was only 1 person attending but she was very cordial and friendly. We ordered a special dinner for 2 people which includes soup, appetizers, fried or boiled rice and main course. We ordered wonton soup and the truth is that it was delicious and at that moment I changed my perspective of the place but then I was disappointed since 4 of 8 appetizers were burned. We ordered pork fried rice and it tasted very good although it was a little salty also as a main course we order kung Pao chicken ( it didn't have much chicken and it was just onion with celery and peanuts ) and lemon chicken ( This one tasted good and was crunchy ). Despite my bad experience I would like to give them a second chance and maybe this time try something different. Note: I always forgot to take pictures since I prefer to enjoy my food

Tried this place out for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It was so delicious!!! Service was great! Food was so good! Such amazing noodles and fried rice! Will definitely be coming back! Vibes were great.

9/21/2023 I called to see if they had tomato beef chow mein and they said yes! Nice.. I wanted something to accompany my soy glazed chicken dinner.. Little pricey, but the sauce and beef was spot on.. Noodles were really soft.. So glad to know they have this on their menu.. Will try something else next time..

I ordered from them for my graduation party. It was such an unnecessarily convoluted process. I was unable to order online as their website was not working. Ordering over the phone was difficult as they had just changed their payment system and it took multiple attempts to get them my card information. On the day of when my food was picked up my order was missing a tray of white rice and they refused to refund me for the error. The food itself was just fine and pretty small as far as proportions went relative to cost (~550$). It might be a better experience if you get a single order, but ultimately would not recommend for catering. Ps they snuck in a convenience fee that they did not advertise or tell me about prior to charging my card.

Beef with Black Mushroom and Bamboo Shoots

Pretty decent considering the area. Noodle texture was good but was a bit salty for my liking. Tomato beef was yummy and sauce was sweet. Beef with mushrooms and bamboo shoots wasn't bad either. Spareribs were more like riblets. The area has plenty of parking. Booths and tables for big and small parties. Good service although they made mistakes with our order.

Upon finding menus from this place displayed at the check-in counter of my Reno Hotel, I have to admit being intrigued just by the name. I have traveled to and around Reno for decades and have never heard of this place so I thought maybe, just maybe, Reno now had an awesome authentic Hong Kong style spot. (Spoiler alert: Reno does not.) I noted that there were a few fairly negative reviews of the spot with one commenting on the smell of raw sewage upon entry. I will admit that when I drove up, several of my instant cues of non-authenticity were triggered (such as an empty parking lot, large food pictures plastered in the window attempting to attract a non-existent audience, an empty restaurant, and 2 workers sitting in the dining room looking very bored). There was also a faintly feculent odor that was covered up by air freshener but it was short-lived once I walked in and I could not tell if it was coming from inside or outside of the restaurant. I pondered about whether to abandon the mission but the gravitational pull of the restaurant name promising Hong Kong cuisine was strong. And, since the 2 workers I first saw sitting in the place were Chinese, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and place an order for take-away. What should have really tipped me off that something was not right was that there was nothing vaguely resembling Hong Kong style food on the menu. The prices did seem to resemble full on capitalism as they were fairly expensive for such a small spot that looked like it was begging for business. Most items were north of $16 which was surprising to me as I expect that pricing to be in large expensive cities, not in cow towns. I asked for a few common authentic items such as Bitter Melon (fu qua) or Chicken and salted fish (hom yee) fried rice and was told that they did not have that and have never had them. They did, however, have very westernized items on the menu that would probably appeal to most people that don't know any better. The "2 Guys from Hong Kong" name, coupled with a lack of menu authenticity left me feeling bait and switch swindled. I was told that maybe they would have those menu items in the future but am doubtful of the sincerity of that statement. In the end, the food was about what you would expect in a very Americanized small Chinese restaurant in a city without a large Asian population. I would say that it is serviceable in the same way that Domino's is to an Italian seeking pizza. It will scratch the itch, but barely so.

Shopping in this strip mall at lunch time so decided to give it a try It was okay ... "nothing to write home about." Enjoyed my hot and sour soup. Honey shrimp had a creamy white sauce .. ok, but I'll not order it again My daughter had Spicy pork which she enjoyed after picking out half a plate of celery I'd go again if that's were a group wanted to go.

Had an early dinner with a friend visiting from San Diego. I had Mongolian beef and she had Lemon Chicken. We both had the dinner special which included appetizers and soup or salad. The staff was courteous and efficient. This restaurant is family owned and has been in business many years.

My husband went with the bison, barbecue burger, and a side of fries, and I had the original burger with my choice of cheeses. Everything was prepared and served hot and fresh! We were offered ranch to go with our fries. I had a house made thousands island type sauce (but way better) to go on my cheeseburger. It was delicious. I asked one of the employees (Sarah) what was in it. She was very pleasant to talk to and very knowledgeable about all of their house made sauces. I told her that I loved the garlic in the Thousands island style sauce so she gave me a sample of their garlic aioli sauce! If you are a garlicholic like me, this is a must try!! Chefs kiss, for sure! I cannot recommend this location enough! When in Reno, it's a must try! If you go, tell Sarah her perimenopause, Indiana, garlic loving friend said hello!

I don't know if it was because it was the first day of hot August nights or not, but there was quite a bit of a line. I got up into the line, paid, and went inside..... What a spread! Mexican, Chinese, American, a station where they would make a salad for you, pho, Mongolian BBQ, a Carvery station with all kinds of different choices, including ham, prime, rib, and even sausage. They had a dessert section, including cobbler, bread, pudding, cakes, cookies, pie, large selection of gelato, even cotton candy! They also had a selection of sugar-free desserts. Everything that I ate was amazing. Some of the things, The shrimp were fresh, the Mexican choices were good, I loved the dim sum, and I had both prime rib and some of the sausage. They had both salmon, and trout, and both of those were amazing as well. For dessert, I had a rocky Road gelato, (very creamy with lots of goodies inside...) the cobbler and the bread, pudding. the bread pudding was just the right consistency and delicious, the cobbler was nice and warm. I paid about $41 with the senior discount. If you are a senior or military/veteran, you have it added to your players card, and you qualify for the discount. Definitely worth it for the quality and quantity of the food. An excellent meal. I would gladly come back. Thank you.

Unfortunately, the clam chowder was terribly watered down and had a noticeable "fishy" smell the moment I opened the lid. And before anyone says seafood is supposed to smell pungently fishy: no, it's not. If it smells bad, it's usually because it's not fresh. For a small bowl of clearly watered-down clam chowder that didn't seem fresh - and somehow cost around $20, more than some of the best clam chowders at well-known coastal seafood establishments - I'm annoyed enough to write a Yelp review, which I rarely do unless I'm especially impressed or especially offended.
