This restaurant has been around for years. And I personally have been to it just a few times. Recently I've been to it more frequently. I think it has very delicious wet chow fun , it's literally one of my favorites there. And their potstickers are delicious nicely flavored pork filling and the plump wrap has a nice chew and sear. Their salted wings with grilled onions and peppers are delicious and crispy. The waitstaff are very helpful and I usually get one waitress who is very nice and always smiles. A good option in downtown Reno!

Ahhh! To be Asian and crave noodles and rice on a trip to Reno! Had to have Asian food on the second day, and remembered there was this Vietnamese spot right next to the hotels downtown. The last time I came here was at least 9 years ago. The owner lady was still the same. Service here was great as the waitress lady was very nice. Ambience is your normal Vietnamese restaurant. Had to have the spring rolls that hit the spot. The HOng Kong chow mein didn't come out crispy so not sure what happened, but it was very tasty. I'll be back the next time I go back to Reno.

I came here through a strong recommendation from the hotel concierge. From the outside it looked like a Chinese/Vietnamese spot. Walking inside there's plenty low light and plenty of seating. Someone will take you to your table. Good size menu with all the fixings. I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, Orange Chicken & Imperial Rolls. Chicken Fried Rice was ok....Orange Chicken literally tastes like Orange Sherbet....it was ok.....Imperial Rolls were good. I think this is more of a Vietnamese than Chinese food spot. Other people said the Vietnamese food was better than the Chinese food....just FYI. If your in the area swing by.

$14 for number 1 combo large pho . Comes with beef meat ball, beef tendon, beef tripe , brisket and noodles . Loved the taste of the soup. It wasn't too salty. Also a great portion of tripe and tendon too. Didn't care for the brisket much, not that it's bad, it's just personal preference. Noodles were kind of clump together. Wish it was more easy to do a noodle pull. Overall I thought it was solid and perfect for pho cravings when I want comfortness from a bowl of soup. . Ambiance is casual and family vibe friendly. The service was quick and brings you food, and some hot chili oil requested. As well there is lots of space inside, which was great so no wait is needed. . Overall I am a fan of this spot and can't wait to try more dishes here. I love how it is across the street from silver legacy reno casino hotel. Hope this helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

This is my go to when I want Vietnamese cuisine! The Pho is absolutely perfect and flavorful. However, the House Fried Rice is so doggone tasty, unlike and other. It has pork, chicken, beef and shrimp and the proportions are spot on. We had the House Chow mein and it was far too much for 2 people. A new dish that we tried was the Broccoli shrimp stir fry lunch plate. The service was great, its old school mom and pop feel with some good clean food! I recommend you give this a try! I have been going here for over 10 years and they have always delivered. Good food have never failed me. One other thing you oughta try is the imperial roles much better than a normal egg roll. You should try this. It's not mediocre and it doesn't taste like anybody else's cuisine.

I've been coming to golden flower for over ten years and it's always good! The veggie pho is something that truly heals my body when I'm unwell. Their peanut sauce for the spring rolls is unmatched. Service is always great and very quick. Tons of seating and minimal wait times. A long standing Reno fave!

There aren't many Asian spots around The Row hotels, but you can find this one across the street from the sky tower of Circus Circus. Throughout the many years I've been coming to Reno, this place has gone through the years and there is a reason why it's still operating. The food is amazing with majority being Chinese dishes, but with a couple other Asian cuisines such as the pho on the menu. A home away from home when you're tired of just eating steak and eggs everyday. You can get cozy with the pho broth when the snow starts to come in during the winter. The eggrolls were crispy and I highly recommend wrapping the noodles that comes with it before dipping it in the sauce. The pork chop was marinated beautifully and was really tender. The coffee was way more than I needed, but it definitely kept me up to keep on gambling lol.

Golden Flower never disappoints! The beef brisket pho is amazing -- rich, flavorful broth and super fresh ingredients. Highly recommend!

Great establishment ran by Vietnamese Chinese owners. Coming from southern california the vibe of the restaurant is straight out of the restaurants I am used too, cozy and warm. The pho itself provided great value for its price. Good portions with tasty broth and good noodles, great Pho for if you are in the area.

This was on our radar as we've not eaten here in over two decades. We had to ask my sis who lives in Reno was it still in back of Circus Circus. We walked over in 100 degrees temperature close to 6pm tonight from our resort. The wait staff was very friendly and sat the two of us down. Before long we ordered and our food was delivered to our table. Ordered - * hubby got #11. Wor won ton soup with rice noodles. His order was humongous. He enjoyed immensely. * 9 times out of ten I go with grilled pork vermicelli noodles with imperial rolls. Mine was impressive. So much pork. And heaping noodles. Well worth it at $14. Our dinner tab including tax & tip was $41. What a deal. Don't let the average ratings hold you back from trying this restaurant. Plenty of tables with an adjacent parking lot.

Ever since the covid bs imposed on us from some very very misguided politicians, business's have not been the same for alot of older established restaurants, this one in particular because I now have to eat a lot earlier than after midnight which I have been accustomed to. This fantastic restaurant has kept to the earlier hours instead of opening very late. IMO they can open a whole lot later because the restaurant seems to pretty busy even near closing time. The curry beef stew iis undoubtedly the best in northern nevada. It's not terribly mild nor spicy, just the right balance. They seem to be a great oiled machinery, the staff are pretty quick at taking your orders and getting your dishes to you piping hot, unlike other restaurants that serve the entire table at the same time which means inevitably someone or one's will get colder food because the restaurant policy is to serve everyone all at once, very dumb concept. The restaurant is very inviting and comfortable with their nice wall portraits which I don't notice because the food is more important than the ambiance which some people crave, sad creatures lol. I just need to change my times for dining geriatric times rather than later hours.

We've been on an order out for lunch kick at my work and one of our coworkers is obsessed with Golden Flower. I've been to the restaurant but it's been quite a few years. I grabbed an order of pork & shrimp friend rice, legit the tastiest fried rice I've had in quite some time. Their pork is perfectly seasoned, great texture and truly adds to the fried rice experience, they add lots of shrimp which is a plus, and even though it's take out, the meal still felt fresh and warm. Loved it, will definitely head back to the restaurant soon!

    Chicken chow mein extra veggies

Okay, I know what you might be thinking because I've heard it before from people (friends) its not in the nicest looking part of town. BUT, I must say they have become my go to Chinese food option when I'm craving it. have been here three times this past year. Their chicken chow mein is so fresh and has great flavor I love to add extra veggies to mine for a little more goodness! I like to pair this with a Mongolian beef order ( I love the spicy dry red peppers they add to it). The beef is tender and comes with mushrooms and onions it's a great option and served with a side of white rice which balances out the flavors and pairs well with the sauce from the beef and some chow mein. If you're looking for a yummy appetizer you can't skip the crab rangoons. These are the best I've had around town. They actually have enough filling inside them and come with a yummy hoison sauce they make in house to dip them in, instead of the basic sweet and spicy sauce. I have seen many people order the Pho here and I must say it looks very appetizing, it has now been added to my list to try the next time we stop by here for lunch or dinner. FYI the service is phenomenal here. They are on top of making sure every customer that walks in gets a glass of water and menu very quickly. They also take your order in a timely manner and they do not make you wait very long for your meal to arrive at your table. I am very impressed by the system they have streamlined to provide an efficient experience to their customers. The staff is very friendly and eager to assist you. The atmosphere is very chill here. It can get a bit loud when it gets packed in, but you are still able to have a conversation with the people at your table. I highly recommend you check this place out the next time you're searching for the best Chinese food in town.

We revisited The Wok Chinese Cuisine because we had wonderful experience in their food before. However, this time, we specifically ordered Sichuan style Chinese food because my wife love some spicy. The portions were generous with plenty of leftovers to pack up in takeout boxes for enjoying for another day. My favorite three were the ahi tuna, the black cod and the brilliant asian/french mash up of red Bean Creme Brulee. I also need to mention, I loved the lamb tenderloin. I am not a big lamb fan, but this New Zealand lamb was tender and non-gamey. The owners did an outstanding job of timing the dishes and engaging with our group while also taking care of other diners including non event patrons getting getting take-out and inhouse menu dining. The space is very small, but even with and almost full house, it didn't feel cramped. To start, you can't go wrong with the enthusiastic welcome we always receive. Then quickly seated and wine poured. The 2026 CNY menu was fabulous, with some great surprises. The ahi tartare portion anywhere else would have been a shareable appetizer. But each person was served a large portion of delicious fresh ahi. Mmmm this course and a glass of wine could be dinner alone any other evening. The soft creamy rich egg custard was hidden under a thick seafood gravy. I really enjoyed this unique dish. The miso black cod is always flaky and delicious. And the crab fried rice it's nestled on also never disappoints. The rich New Zealand stir fried lamb and shiitake mushrooms over pea shoots was a fabulous hearty dish on this chilly March evening. The braised short ribs were so tender no knife was needed, they flaked apart with the fork. And the e mein noodles were perfectly al dente. The dinner wrapped up with a crème brûlée that only Kwok's could pull off - red bean. Creamy smooth. Not overwhelming. The perfect burnt sugar layer on top. The regular menu is just as delicious. Small inside seating area, so recommend always make a reservation. In the summer there's a fabulous patio area out front. Limited street parking.

In case you're not aware, though the name of this restaurant references a specific city in northern China and the menu has dishes from across the country, their specialty is the spicy and numbing cuisine of the Sichuan region. If you've never had this before, when you see dishes listed as spicy, they may be very different from what you're thinking. It's certainly can be a polarizing experience, with many loving this flavor and many not into it at all, but the broad menu makes this a great call for everyone. Now I love dining with others who are familiar because it lets you explore the menu through their eyes and enjoy selections made by others with taste diverse from yours. My friend picked several dishes I would've never noticed or ordered blindly this time, and I'm so happy about that. We enjoyed the cold Woodear or black fungus in chili oil, classic snow pea tips with garlic, as well as the quintessential Sichuan cumin lamb, but the other three dishes we had were 100% new to me. Those included Sichuan snails (unshelled in an oily spicy stir fry), scallops with garlic and vermicelli, and crispy spicy intestines. The snails were a win. These are small and somewhat chewy morsels that get wok fried with fried chili, chili oil, peppers and onions. The texture is similar to sautéed calamari, but a bit firmer, and the sauce coats everything with that signature numbing heat. The scallops were the big miss. This dish typically comes in the half shell with fresh scallops, but here they're using a lower quality scallop (likely frozen) and a lot of pre-minced garlic (like you'd find in a jar). It looks impressive but the scallops had absolutely not flavor and the texture was rubbery too. Skip this one for sure. The intestines were the surprise. I've had fried intestines and they crunch like a chip and have no distinct flavor that lets you know what you're eating. These were sliced on the bias and wok tossed until super crispy on the outside with a delicately chewy interior. The sauce really amplified the flavor and this all made for a great bite within the whole meal. All in all, this is a home run. If you haven't been, I urge you to check it out, as it's one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants around.

My wife knows how much I love Chinese food, so when she came across a TikTok review of Palais De…read moreJade, she asked if I had ever been. I hadn't, but I had definitely heard of it. We decided to make it our next date night spot. We went on a Friday around 5:30 and it wasn't very crowded yet. They asked if we preferred a table or a booth, and we went with a booth near the front. The restaurant itself is really nice, but I'll say the booth felt a little tight. Next time, we'll probably go with a table for a bit more space. The service was top notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, and our drinks were constantly refilled. Our glasses were never empty, which always stands out. About 15 minutes after we sat down, the place filled up fast. It seemed like most people coming in had reservations, so I'd definitely recommend making one if you're planning to go after 6 pm. We decided on the Shanghai Dinner. I ordered the sweet and sour pork, and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken. I was tempted by the cashew chicken and kung pao chicken, but we'll save those for next time. The appetizers were amazing. The meal comes with spring rolls, crab rangoon, paper wrapped chicken, and honey glazed BBQ spareribs. Everything was delicious. My wife loved the paper wrapped chicken, and for me, the ribs were the standout. They were tender with just the right hint of sweetness. Honestly, I could've eaten a full plate of just those and been happy. For sides, I had the egg flower soup, which was really flavorful, and my wife had the salad. She could not stop talking about how good the dressing was. Both the sweet and sour pork and chicken were great. The sauce had that perfect tangy, slightly sweet flavor. That said, next time we probably won't order the same sauce for both dishes. I think pairing something like sweet and sour with kung pao would give a better balance with a little heat to cut through the sweetness. Overall, this place is a winner. Great food, solid portions, and the price is very reasonable at about $33 per person for the Shanghai Dinner. My wife enjoyed everything so much that after seeing another table order the duck, she's already talking about coming back to try it. I've been trying to get her to try duck for a while, so I'm looking forward to that next visit. We'll definitely be back.
